I honestly cant recommend, david enough. He has been so easy to deal with and has made the whole process of buying a car so much easier.

Highly recommend David Golding Cars to anyone considering buying a secondhand car. We bought a car from David and had some mechanical issues with it (not David’s fault, a 10 year old car). In fairness to David, he arranged a local garage to repair the car for us as we live over 2 hours from Dublin and paid for repair work promptly. Very few honest dealers left in the motor industry these days. Thank you David for looking after us and making this issue as stress free as possible for us.

David Golding cars has been trading in Rathgar for many years and has a selection of modern and classic cars for sale. David provides a comprehensive video on each car he has for sale. I traded in my car and bought an amazing Ford Focus. It was a pleasure to deal with David and I would have no hesitation in recommending David.

Was looking for a small SUV for my wife and Discovered David Golding cars online. He had a very clean Suzuki Vitara up (among other beauties)and I gave him a call.
David said we could come down and see the car which I did and it was everything he said it was....immaculate.

Expert in classic cars, expert in modern cars. David is an encyclopaedia of anything automotive weather it be a gogomobile three wheeler to an Aston Vantage or Ferrari or anything in between what he doesn’t know isn’t worth knowing. I’m lucky enough to have traded Porsches jaguars fast Japanese cars and wouldn’t trust anyone else with a sale or purchase. A sterling individual with an absolute passion for the motor car and cars he vendors. Lovely person. Astounding knowledge.

I saw a nice car on line being sold by david. I spoke to him on the phone and he was friendly and easy to talk to. He explained fully the history of the car. I arranged for my friend to go look at the car he reported back to me that the car was in pristine condition as described on the Inter Net. I ageed a price with David over the phone and collected the Car at his dealership. I found him to be very knowledgeable about the Car and the Motor Trade in general. He was honest and came across as a reputable dealer. I would recommend him as an Excellent Motor Dealer and would deal with again if i was buying a Car.

I recently bought my first classic car, a Mercedes SL 300 r129 from David I chose to buy from David due to his great reputation, things I was told about him & his vast history and experience with classic cars. It has been a long road from poster on my wall as a kid to owner of an SL so getting the right car was important. David has great communication & was always on the end of the phone from all my queries n questions. I am based in the USA and I was looking for the French Citroen Mehari Azur… I actually did not find the “perfect Car” in the USA, nor in France…. But in Ireland.

From the pictures, car looks great, price is quite competitive… therefore I was a little anxious as I can not go and see the car, and if anything goes wrong it would be difficult for me to react, so I had to deal with a person of trust and ready to do the extra mile in order to help me do all the import stuff!

From day 1 I found David very professional, very cooperative and very responsive. His Trustpilot and google rating brought confidence I am dealing with the right person (other than one Troll who tried to affect his reputation)

I wired the money confident I would not have any issue, and that was the case. David provided me all paperwork I needed from him. He mailed the original to my address.
I wasted a lot of time trying to find the right company by myself, company who could import the car from Ireland, up to the USA, including insurance, custom (…) Door-to-Door at a reasonable price.
That was not the easiest part, but at the end the shipping company contact was also given to me by David, another extra mile as his deal was done and paid!

Car was finally shipped with full cooperation from David, and just received in the USA, at my home, beginning of February 2025!

Car is exactly what I had expected, nothing hidden!

The journey with David ends here, but not totally ended on my side as I still need to do the title, registration, and service the car to be ready for spring.

I would not hesitate to buy again from David, only issue would be that I need a steering wheel on the left side!

Buying a car from David Golding Cars was a great experience. I had been looking for a car for a while and I spotted one with a spec I liked for sale, a Mercedes C180 coupe. I sent an email last Thursday enquiring about the car, I received a response within 30 minutes and we agreed on a price and deposit. I paid the deposit that Thursday, paid the balance on the Friday, and by Sunday I had the car. David Golding personally delivered it to my door on Sunday. The car is fantastic, exactly as described, and David was a pleasure to deal with. I would absolutely recommend if you are looking for a good quality car.

im leaving a review after 6 months of ownership i bough a 2016 mini cooper s off david he delivered it to my door as described .In my opinion any salesman can sell you a car that you want but when something goes wrong you see the type of salesman they are this is where david gets 5 stars took my car back up to dublin on a trailer and droppped it back in full working order and it has ran like a swiss watch since id love get another car of him when i update in 2 years (hint hint david)
