What made my experience great with David Wang Fitness, was the very first consultation with David. I really already considered myself physically fit as an avid runner/marathoner, and fitness enthusiast. You can achieve a certain level of success by simply being active and having some basic knowledge of nutrition but inevitably you’ll hit a wall because you’re essentially guessing with “blindspots.” What I’ve come to learn about fitness, nutrition, hunger and discipline is that it’s all relative to your knowledge base. When you know precisely the what’s, why’s and how’s, your focus and decision making become laser focused. The program works because David takes into account, your body, goals and specific needs. DWF meets you where you are and gives you the correct tools to succeed in a practical, duplicatable way. I began to treat my body as a temple and I lost about 17 lbs in a 4 month span. Every great athlete has a coach/mentor. This program will shed light on your blindspots and what you’re currently doing wrong. The guided workouts are amazing but that’s not even the best part which is what separates DWF. It’s also not a specific “diet.” It’s the overall understanding and tracking your nutrition in a way that’s easy and that makes success scientifically inevitable as long as you have the work ethic. I’ve never enjoyed the gym and eating as much as I’ve experienced throughout my first phase in the program. Big shout out to Parker Miller for your guidance and mentorship. You really made the onboarding process fun and easy to follow. I’m excited to see how my overall performance as an athlete continues to improve and my next phase in the program. They literally created a machine. I’m right at 10.0 % body fat and in the best shape of my life. If you’re on the fence, take into account that I’ve been on an “abs” journey since 2006 and the 4 months in this program have taken me further than anything I’ve done in the last 18 years. It’s very possible to see success if your active and have “cookie cutter” routines but it may be hit or miss and you’ll most likely see swings in your results without the proper life long system in place. What I’ve learned in the past four months is PRICELESS and lifelong. Now it’s simply going to next levels and fine tuning!

My Journey so far...
Connecting w/ David Wang was one of the best decisions that I made this year 🙂
I was dealing with mental health issues for a while which have gotten worse since mid January which forced me to go on a medical leave.
Although I was recovering, going from running ~50+ miles a week to barely getting out made a big dent on my overall feeling.
This program helped me in many ways, finding a community where I was least expecting brought out the chef in me back in action that made my mom proud (she was impressed on seeing my meal prep pics) from being intimidated in going to gym to confidently taking over a station improved my overall wellbeing - sleep, nutrition, giving some structure to my otherwise chaotic day improved my self confidence by making me stronger and knowledgeable lot of learnings and great discussions over whatsapp chat or in the community call being more mindful of what I am eating (focussing more on macros). I'm still not there yet but I have a framework that helps with this.
Overall, I'm more than grateful for having you all in the journey.

When I first joined David Wang's Fitness program, I wasn’t sure if I would see any changes. I was just a skinny Asian guy, eating as much as I could and working out five days a week, but still struggling to see muscle gain. I had spent years trying to put on weight and muscle on my own, but I struggled with my diet, knowing when to increase the weights, and how to properly recover. Prior to joining this program, I have hired two personal trainiers who introduced me to strength training. I can definitively say that the David Wang Fitness program is by far the best. The fitness app that comes with the program sets out clear goals for me to reach over the course of a week, and the bi-weekly Zoom calls with my personal coach, Parker, helps me with questions pertaining to the training itself as well as my diet plan.
The goal I had set at the beginning of this program was to gain muscle mass. At the end of my four-month program, I am proud to have gained 10 lbs in weight without an increase in my body fat percentage (around 15%). The progress photos clearly captures bulking of my triceps, shoulders, and upper back.
Despite this being a fully virtual fitness program, it gave me solid results and a better understanding of one's diet. The virtual setting allows me to set my own training rhythm without the need to cater to a live personal trainer's schedule. David Wang's Fitness Program is THE real deal.
Prior to meeting and working with David, if you had told me that there was any personal trainer out there that could and would willingly and completely help to demystify and provide you with quite literally all of the essential tools to achieving peak fitness I would not have believed you. There simply seemed to be too much conflicting information out there and that there could not possibly be a generalizable long term fitness solution at least not without sacrificing good tasting food or countless hours at the gym. Certainly an impossibility for someone as career and family life focused as myself. I had struggled for so many years on my own trying what had worked in high school/college and what articles/forums suggested to no avail I was convinced it was literally impossible to become physically fit again. I was doomed to keep on gaining weight.
But I was frustrated and confused by my health and fitness situation. How, when I had done so well to achieve as much as I had with my life was I still struggling so much with health and fitness, was this the way things had to be? When David promised me that I would not have to give up my favorite foods, not even need to commute to the gym and would lose >20lbs if I followed his program I was very intrigued. Then he mentioned "even though this is a losing business strategy, I promise to provide you with every tool possible to make sure that by the end of this program you can continue to see the results you want and more". I couldn't believe it, but I was eager to ask every burning question I had and I was hungry to learn and change my ways for good.
Skip ahead 16wks and after gleaning every scrap of knowledge I could and adhering to David's coaching to the best of my abilities I managed to lose not only 20lbs but over 50lbs. Noticing my own progress I became emboldened to ask every question I had regarding how I could continue my meteoric rise and improvement through health and fitness. Without hesitation, and surprisingly, without much tweaking, David provided me with the keys to further and future fitness success.
Fast forward another 2yrs and I have lost another 10lbs and radically overhauled my body composition to an ~11% body fat @ 167+/-3lbs. I started at >230lbs, I was an XL with a >38" waist, now I'm a size M with ~31" waist. I could hardly, maybe, have done 5 chin-ups on a good day. Now I can do >15x weighted chin-ups as part of my morning workouts. I can run a half marathon in under 100mins. I can squat nearly twice my body weight! Plus I have been able to accomplish all of this while working out from the comfort of my home, ~1hr per session, 5x times a week! All while eating to my heart's content! And did I mention that not once did David ever, nor have I ever, used any drug/surgery, nor extreme dieting, nor dangerous exercising. Because of David Wang's Fitness Program I can confidently say I am achieving my fullest potential in every aspect of my life now.
So like I said before, David Wang's Fitness program is THE real deal.

The program has been vital in helping me achieve fitness goals. In the social media age where there is a costant bombardment of information and opinions about fitness, diet, and health, having a guiding voice has been crucial for me. Working in science myself, seeing that David's team cites their sources and compare multiple studies when providing information in the community calls was a pleasant surprise and very reassuring that they are focused on instilling knowledge and confidence in their clients. Parker has been great to work with; quick to respond to questions and messages, gives good explanations when I have questions on form, makes adjustments to the program to best suite my needs and keep things progressing, and generally being a consistent support system.

I worked with David remotely for ~12 months and cannot recommend him highly enough. My goal was weight loss (more specifically, losing my gut and other fat) and general improvements in strength and general fitness. I wasn't looking to be a bodybuilder or anything, I just wanted to not look like an overweight, middle aged dude and be healthier. I'd spent years doing internet workouts at home and various dieting with little results. Within 4 months or so of working with David I lost 30 pounds (197 to 167) at age 49, and dramatically improved my physique, strength, and fitness level.
David is very easy to work with, and crafts custom plans for YOU that work. He helped refine my workouts to be more effective for a similar amount of time I was already putting in. I didn't want to go to a gym (I'd rather use the travel time to get the workout done faster!), so the plans he crafted for me could be done at home with minimal equipment (dumbbells and a pull up tower, and later a battle rope routine as I progressed). He also helped me change my eating habits and nutrition to where I am now eating healthier foods that I like without being hungry all the time which made it easier to lose weight and meet my goals.
We did Zoom calls every week or two to go over details, and had near daily interaction via instant messenger to review results, review videos of my workout technique, answer questions, etc. It was super easy to get started, and the results were so impressive that my wife started working with him and had similar results. Of course her plan was completely different than my plan, since it was tailored to her needs (e.g. different dietary preferences, avoiding re-injury of previously injured areas, etc.).
David is very knowledgeable and focuses on the science and results. He's not trying to sell supplements or meal plans, so his only motivation is to help you achieve your goals. There are no tricks or shortcuts here, just a solid plan that is doable and works. It's not always easy, but it's not difficult either. Just follow the plan as best you can, and it will work over time. You don't have to be perfect, and David is there to support you along the way. He's very easy going, and is not going to bully you into doing something you can't do, etc.
I could not figure out how to do this on my own, and I never thought I'd be able to get back down to the same weight I was in college, but David helped me get there. Whatever your goals are, large or small, reach out to David to see if he is a fit for you, whether in person and remote. I wish I'd done this 10+ years ago.

As someone who has struggled with being underweight their entire life, insecurity about my body has been a constant factor for a long time. Despite never limiting myself on what I ate, I never weighed in at any higher than 126 lbs. This has limited me in a lot of ways, especially in the clothes that I wear, as I’ve never felt super comfortable showing my arms or legs due to how thin they are, always wearing long sleeves, even in high temperatures. I had an image of what my dream body would look like, but I had no knowledge of what exercises I should be doing to achieve my goals. I made one attempt at trying to get into the gym back in 2019 and lasted a week before falling out of it. I’d spent the last few years dreaming of getting back into it, of achieving what to me would be an ideal physique, but with my complete lack of knowledge in regards to training and nutrition, I didn’t see the point, considering I had no clue what I should be doing. Needless to say, I needed some help. David Wang Fitness has been on my radar since 2022, I remember seeing a client testimonial video and immediately my interest was piqued after going down the rabbit hole, watching a few more client testimonials, and reading about David’s own story. He himself used to be underweight, so reading about his journey really resonated with me. I promptly reached out to him via email and received a response, but I never took the plunge to book a clarity call at that time. Fast forward to 2 years later, it was now 2024 and I was still in the same place I was for years prior. Dreaming of a body I didn’t have and the clothes i’d wear if I did. Still underweight, still insecure. At this point, I decided enough was enough. This had been on my mind seriously since at least 2019, and if I had started and actually stayed consistent back then, I’d already have the body I wanted. I was tired of talking about it, I was tired of feeling sorry for myself and longing for something I didn’t have. I decided if I wanted to make a change, I was gonna have to do something about it sooner rather than later, so I took the plunge and scheduled a clarity call.
That was in January and late February is when I started my training.
Upon starting my program with DWF I was introduced to my trainer Parker who has been absolutely integral in my fitness journey. He created a personalized program for me based on my goals showing me exactly what I needed to do to achieve them. This made a world of a difference in putting me on the right path to achieving my goals as I went from completely clueless, to having a roadmap. Having a trainer completely took the guesswork out of it for me, and if there’s ever anything I don’t understand or have a question about, I have constant access to Parker via WhatsApp and he is always quick with a detailed response, as he’s truly a wealth of knowledge in regards to training and nutrition. I am now a few months into my training, and the differences, although not huge, as we are still pretty early on in the journey, are definitely noticeable. And not only just to me, but to other people as well. I’ve gotten comments from friends and family on my butt looking bigger and general comments on how I’m looking “broader” in the shoulders. My pants, most pairs of which all used to fit me very loosely, to the point of sometimes literally falling down if not wearing a belt despite being the smallest size offered in most mens pants, are now fitting me TIGHT.
My weight, which started at 119 lbs at the beginning of my journey, was at 132 lbs the last time I weight myself. That’s over a ten pound increase and more than I’ve ever weighed in my life. I can confidently say I’m so glad I made the decision to start training with DWF and I would encourage others who also want to make a change to do the same. Your only regret will be that you didn’t start sooner. I can’t wait to see where I am a year from now, as I’ve already made so much progress toward my goals and I know it’s only going to get better. I chanced upon David Wang Fitness through Instagram advertising that he could help Engineers with their fitness journey. Usually, I am pretty cautious in Instagram ads, but I think I'm at a point in life where I feel I needed the help as I've lost weight multiple times but it just never seem to stuck and with my busy schedule as an engineer I know I needed help even more. Upon scheduling the interview, I'm always very cautious so I tried to do a lot research online and everywhere in social to check the legitimacy of his business and it was pretty compelling watching the interviews of other people. My initial interview with David was pretty good and he answered all my questions I had with the program. Upon starting the program, I was introduced to the head coach Parker who had me do a physical assessment and introduced me to the basics of nutrition. 8 weeks so far into the program 26 lbs down from 239 and I gotta say that I am very thankful I took the leap with this program. David and Parker have really made this comprehensive program that is helping me achieve my fitness goals. They have all these science based lessons to help you gain knowledge on nutrition and fitness that helped me gain a better understanding on how to approach my fitness journey, that I feel will definitely help in the long game of my fitness. I was 310 lbs and I've lost 25 lbs in 16 weeks. The biggest takeaway was the change in my mindset about food, Parker worked with me to educate me on how to track my calories and create meals in a sustainable way to support weight loss. I also started to feel less pain in my joints as I got more active and I was stronger; I was able to play basketball for longer because of decreased joint pain and this was a great kickstart to my long-term fitness journey.
This has been a great experience for me because I wanted to get healthier for my soon-to-be bride and the family we'll be starting soon after.
The entire program is great and well thought out. I was assigned to Parker Miller as my all-in-one nutrition & workout coach. He is amazing and always answers any questions I have regarding anything fitness related in a timely manner. I really appreciate that his explanations and overall outlook on both nutrition & weight lifting incorporate science based evidence by referring to case studies. In our bi-weekly zoom check in calls, Parker’s cheerful demeanor and general positivity is genuine and refreshing. During one of our first calls, I was going through a lot of personal stuff and was noticeably distressed and distracted from our meeting. Parker picked up on it and asked if I wanted to talk about things, which I took him up on and vented about what I was going through - even though we barely knew each other lol.
The only reason why this review doesn’t get the full 5 stars from me is actually because of the first initial “consultation” zoom call I had with David Wang. I thought it was just going to be a meeting regarding the program and to answer any questions I had, which it was in a sense. However, after giving his bit, he came off as overly pushy about getting me to sign up for his program right then and there. I understand that it’s a common business practice but I didn’t appreciate it. I was already pretty convinced about signing up for the program but wanted to call David back later so I could double check I could financially commit to his program. After telling him this, he pressured me to stay on the call with him while I did some finance planning. Not appreciated. Regardless, Parker is an amazing coach and I’m glad that I was assigned to him.
