The Davinci Vaporizer is a great…
The Davinci Vaporizer is a great vaporizer for light users like me. If you’re planning to buy one I suggest that you go ahead and buy the explorers collection because it has everything you need specially for outdoor hikes. The kit provides you with an extra batter, a stash container where you can also use to keep your spare battery, a zip up case for your Miqro with pockets inside, and anti-shock silicone sleeve for a nice comfortable grip and protection for those butter finger vapers. The set really sells itself but I got a lot of my questions answered thanks to Hector. So all in all it’s a great product and the fact that their customer service is very efficient is also a good advantage.
Horrible faulty miqro
Horrible faulty miqro. Premium build yes, but but does have some underlying problems.maybe just my unit. I still waiting to get this resolved :(
I cannot seem to get my device working
I cannot seem to get my device working, Left it charging for more then 30 minutes..
I've got a Davinci IQ vaporizer since…
I've got a Davinci IQ vaporizer since 20.10.2017. I had loved Davinci Ascent.
But this IQ has got a lot of problem. I can't use it anymore because when the battery reaches 70-75% IQ says "low battery" and switch it off. I tried with new batteries (18650) but the issue is the same.
This is a terrible device, and might explode
This is a terrible device. It got so hot that I could crack an egg on it and cook it. I had to bring back this piece of garbage within the same 24 hour period I bought it, and I will never purchase another product from this company again. The quality is what you’d find in China. I was worried it would explode!
The unit set on fire!
The unit set on fire!!
Be very careful when thinking about buying a Davinci iq! The build quality is terrible. The hinges became loose, the battery was loose inside the chamber, cracked ceramic oven and terrible customer services.
Then to top it all, whilst I was packing the oven I noticed that the battery (Davincis own battery) set on fire and melted the unit. I was extremely lucky that I was using it at the time, had I have not done this I can only imagine how catastrophic it really could have been.
DO NOT BUY! I strongly suggest you take a look at another vape. I myself will certainly not be buying one of these again.
Recently purchased an IQ2
Recently purchased an IQ2 and had some trouble figuring out how to use it. Called their customer service line and they were awesome. Helped me on how to use and answered all my questions I had. One of the better experiences I've had with a company. Awesome service.
A complete waste of a lot of money !
A complete waste of money ! The battery doesn’t last worth a darn, it tastes funny, and EXTREMELY difficult to get a hit. I am so extremely sorry I WASTED so much money on the POS. Please don’t make the mistake I did and buy this worthless and expensive piece of garbage !!!
Oh God, the battery.
Bought the DaVinci Miqro about a year ago. I had to read the instruction manual 10+ times before just watching a youtube video, which wasn't much more helpful. They put a lot of work into the aesthetics; boxes for attachments/USB cable/cleaning supplies with matching color schemes fit perfectly into the main box under the felt cut-out the device fits into. It has everything you need to pack it and to get all the vaped product out right inside of itself, and the miqro is sleek and highly customizable to heat level (once you figure out how to use 3 buttons to navigate over 7 functions). Oh and it gives you little kitch messages every time you turn it off. While being plugged into your laptop/outlet the entire time you use it.
This product has so much potential, I wish they put any visible amount of effort into the battery. I have to be attached to the USB cable at all times, I've left it charging for over 2 hours and it has yet to last longer than 5 MINUTES without dying. I see other reviewers saying 20-30 minutes and I would be completely fine with that amount of time compared to the literal moments I can have once I turn it on after it's been charging for hours. It's a miqro. I didn't purchase it with the intent of passing it around a party like a volcano bag. But I would like to be able to bring it on a hike, or even walk into a different room in my house without it dying immediately. To add insult to injury, I do my best to keep this thing clean and EVERY time I open the "hatch" that contains the pastel colored battery (as I said, you can't fault them for their color palate) I almost throw it across the room after investing 20 minutes of my life getting that little latch to hold and stay shut. I also see the word "discrete" in their literature a lot, and with the amount of vapor that comes out and the smell, you might as well just move to Venice Beach.
Waste of money, and after reading quite a few horrifying customer service review stories, I think I'll just take this as a life lesson and never make future purchases from this company. 1.5 stars.
I've had a good experience with my vape…
I've had a good experience with my vape (MIQRO).
Looks like a Ferrari, but actually a Mazda
You have to say this really is a nice looking vape, or er, paperweight...but that is where the nice ends. I have been a Davinci ascent user for years, but they not only lost my IQ business but future business as well with this model.
Here is a list of what I have experienced so far and tech support will not work with me to replace the unit which is only 3 weeks old and I purchased it here:
+ The first thing you notice is that the unit gets so hot past 360 degrees that it ruins the whole experience. I enjoy mine at 374 and it hurts to use it.
+ The battery is not a good fit in this device and when you move the vape, the battery rattles. So you constantly hear this.
+ The unit itself hisses, which tech support assures me is normal and the unit is not about to explode.
+ The top part of the vape constantly comes lose so you have to keep it shut or it will then knock the battery out of whack and shut off the vape
+ Which brings me to the next point, the vape constantly shuts off 2, 4, 7 minutes into a sessions randomly...No this not due to a preprogrammed setting, it is simply a bad design and poor battery...
+ And don’t get me onto cleaning this thing, which might be actually easier than dealing with their “support”.
+ My last point, you will obviously have one of these problems and need to contact support. Good luck getting a coherent response, and then they will make you run through hoops so you give up trying to send it back. Case in point, they did not believe my vape was faulty and needed video proof!
Poor quality and more of a hassle
I’ve had the Davinci Miqro for 2 weeks and I wanted to love it, but it’s an awful product. First the stuff that makes no sense.
-Learning how to use the device. You can watch as many videos on YouTube on how to use it, and it’s still not easy to use. Click 5 times, click once, click up and down to dim the led lights that can be seen from the NASA space station because of how bright it is.
-The only mode that sorta works is when you use the boost mode, the other way is a waste of herb. But the problem is how hot the device gets, you need to cover the Miqro with a plastic glove sold by Davinci or it’s pretty intolerable to hold the device while using it.
-The battery life says about 30 minutes and it’s more like 20 minute after charging for a long time. Make no sense to me, and it must spend a lot of energy to have a charger on all day.
I’ve spent around $180 already on wasted herb, you don’t get the same high as a pipe. It all burned fast in the vaporizer, felt little to no effect, wasted herb.
So disappointed, because I thought this was supposed to be the Benz of the vaporizers. Do your research!
I will never purchase from this company again.
I will never purchase from this company again.
From the day I unboxed by Davinci IQ these were my problems:
- battery latch is very difficult to shut
- battery turns off when you set it down on a surface.
- Mouth piece latch WILL NOT stay open when using. You have to hold your finger down.
- The USB that came with it was faulty.
Not to mention the disapointing battery life and the unessesarily difficult nature of cleaning this device.
Contact 1: Oh yea we can fix or replace that no problem let me forward you to our tech experts!
Contact 2: Tech experts demand a video of the device to prove i'm not lying.
Contact 3: After they got the video they gave me MORE questions and stupid requests like 'a picture of the serial number'. Why? They could see it wasn't working but more and more is needed.
A company that demands this much money and calls itself 'high end' should not be on anyones list of 'best devices'.
I'm going back to my more afordable brand Arizer where they answer your calls and treat you decently. Seriously the vapor isn't much better in the Davinci compared to my old Arizer Solo 1. And my Solo takes a few minutes to clean unlike these 30 minute cleaning sessions with the IQ.
Davinci IQ after a year
Bought a davinci IQ 1 year ago. Terrible to clean, the unti has started turning off when placed down like a feather, or shaken in the hand and to make matter s worse, its impossible to work with the warranty team. After just quitting smoking I'm now forced to smoke as I have no that way to vapourizer, except for spending on another one. Terrible piece of kit. Terrible battery life. Great vapour. Get a cheaper one of Amazon. You'll be better off I promise you
Overrated
To be honest, I don't really understand why people go nuts on the IQ.
The ceramic oven, air path, flavour chamber and even mouth piece are pretty nice. Very easy on the lungs even for a cougher like myself, but it's a pure conduction vape, CONTRARY to what Davinci themselves claim:
"While all of our vaporizers are actually a hybrid of both heating methods, they are closer to conduction than convection."
Seriously, I've no idea what they're talking about. The Ascent or IQ (Never used the original one) are as 100% conduction vaporizers as they get.
Draw resistance was pretty annoying, and it being a conduction vape means you probably want your oven packed, which is why you get the adjustable pearl.
The App is a complete joke. It looks nice initially, but I could rarely get it to connect to the IQ on the first go. It would also crash frequently.
It's like this App was developed just because the IQ doesn't have the same display as the Ascent, so you can't program the presets unless you use it.
When vaping @ 200C/392F or higher the it gets STUPID hot, and if you think that the OFFICIAL silicone glove they offer helps, you will be sadly mistaken.
I cannot even begin to understand why would they make a vaporizer this compact, with an all metal exterior.
Usually, at the end of a session, I need to swap batteries but the device gets so hot that the battery gets jammed inside the holder. I either force it out or wait for the device to cool.
But the biggest thing that bothered me the most was the extraction efficiency. The CFX... Tera... Mighty, they all hit so much harder, and the feeling lasts CONSIDERABLY longer.
The whole 'discreet' thing is pure nonsense, in my opinion. What? You think that if it's harder to spot a vape in your hand, people will somehow miss the huge cloud of weed smell you're generating?
Honestly, 3 stars is being generous.
Terrible vape to clean.
I bought this vape about 2 months ago and when I first got it I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. I'm a daily user...I've tried many different vapes and the quality of the vapor on the IQ is exceptional compared to many others. The flavor chamber alone is a beautiful complement to this device allowing you to appreciate the aroma of many different herbs of your choice together in one unit.
The problem right off the bat was the app which doesn't work on my phone and it was one of the selling points for me to purchase it. Apparently the app has many glitches causing it to malfunction on many phones so that was strike one as I cannot use to app at all.
Now I would have given this 4 stars if not for how laborious it is to clean this thing. In this day and age of advanced technology and beautiful engineering with these vaporizers, I don't understand how the Davinci engineering team have not redesigned this vape to be more friendly for the user to clean and sanitize.
What happens with this vape is the taste degrades substantially after about a dozen times using it because even with cleaning the bowl and flavor chamber after each use, there is a very very deep cleaning that is required after every 5-6 times using the vape, and if you don't do that it starts to affect the taste because of a crust that forms that is inaccessible with regular cleaning.
The vapor stream travels up the bowl through a gap between the bowl and the flavor chamber up to the mouth piece. That gap collects all the residuals left over from the herb heating, meaning all the brown crud gets stored there after each use and it is almost impossible to clean because there is only a very small diameter to access that gap. You can get a Q-tip to clean the accessible area on the underside of the bowl via that very small diameter once you pop out the flavor chamber, but you can't easily access the baked crust which continues to bake over and over outside of that small diameter hole. Consequently, your herb starts to taste burnt if you do not eventually rectify this. The only way I have found is to get a Q-tip with a little alcohol and try to bend it so that it reaches underneath the metal where all that crust is collecting. This requires many Q-tips, time and patience to get in there to make sure you get as much as possible but some always remains. If you could access this area with greater ease, it would be much easier to clean, but the current design is super flawed in my opinion because of this problem. Consequently I will only be using this vape as a backup because I am tired of this issue and I'm not interested in spending a half hour sanitizing this thing every time it needs a deep cleaning which is often. Otherwise you risk flavor and vapor quality substantially with this device with daily use once a week has passed.
I would encourage the engineers to think of a better design for the next version of the IQ because I feel this could be a truly excellent vaporizer if this matter is addressed.
Bought the Ascent for my wife for…
Bought the Ascent for my wife for helping with her cancer treatment. She did not take to it. I used it personally not more than a dozen times in a year. After that the battery would not charge. Customer service initially told me to go buy a new battery in case it was that. You cannot open an Ascent to change the battery. Finally sent the unit to Las Vegas and waited and waited. Heard nothing, then got a new unit from their warehouse in Ontario. Not the colour I ordered, & with only the charger included, nothing of the rest of the kit. Apparently that's my fault and my tough luck. For the unit to die after minimal use, indicates
very poor quality control. And a "so what" attitude from service. Expensive lesson. Oct 24/18 follow up: Da Vinci sent me a new Ascent Vape minus the interior glass tubes. Had to email them a couple of times. 2 weeks later the glass tubes show up. Tried this one for 3+ weeks before it quit as well. Emailed again about this. They said to send it back so they could evaluate it. Not a chance. My cost to ship it back the first time. Not doing it again. Spending more for a unit that does not work. The hype on their site is way over-rated.
Great vape
Great vape, I don't know about these other reviews but I love my davinchi iq and it works perfect, some times I even dab with it(just roll up 100% cotton with a dab and 400+ degress)
Purchased two separate products- each only lasted 3 months.
I originally purchased a DaVinci Ascent. I used it for a couple of months and then one day I started choking while I was using it. There was weird smelling very strong noxious smelling smoke coming out of the unit. It was so hot it felt like it was going to explode in my hand. I was afraid to use it anymore and I went and bought a traditional DaVinci unit. A couple of months later and that unit is already broken. It is not accepting a charge. At this point I have averaged $100 a month over the last 6 months for two useless vaporizers.

Abysmal customer service.
Tried to buy a vape at Da Vinci website. They emailed me after purchase and insisted I send them a screenshot of my bank statement (with critical info blacked out of course) because they have had a lot of fraudulent purchases. I did so but told them I found that objectionable. They attempted to placate me with nonsense justification. They're making their problems the customer's problem. I've been shopping online for decades and never had anyone suggest something so stupid. I was stupid for agreeing but I was getting this for my daughter to help her quit smoking and just wanted to keep the process going. Then to add insult to injury they sent an email saying I would have to be physically present to sign at delivery. Which means taking a day off from work. They wouldn't even address that issue for me at first. They were only worried about covering themselves instead of what the customer needed. I finally told them to cancel the order. Avoid this company and their products at all costs. Just an awful experience. I'm going to every blog I can find. Shut down bad companies. Tons of better places to buy vapes or anything else. Last but not least I have to wait 3 to 5 business days to be reimbursed, I was told. Quick to insist on money up front. Reluctant to lose a sale. Transparent greed.
