Online Tackle Order
I was worried about some of the negative reviews online. My experience was excellent. Davo’s provided adequate communication as outlined in the shipping policy and my purchase was delivered promptly with tracking. The courier even delivered on a weekend. My order contained everything I purchased and was in excellent condition. Would be happy to recommend. Thanks
Never received item
Ordered a snorkel set for my son’s birthday on September 13 for his Bday sept. 27.
It is November 21 and I’m yet to even receive it! Contacted them through their online form, replied to their emails and tried social media several times. I have never heard back from them. I want my money back. I have now reported them to qld ombudsman.

URGENT WARNING TO CUSTOMERS
I placed an order with Davos Tackle and when the payment went through I noticed my old address was used, maybe glitch in the system. I tried to contact them straight away with no success. I tried for a week with emails, facebook and phone calls that they just don't answer. They leave a recorded message saying you can cotact them on Tuesdays but that is a lie as I tried all day on Tuesday. The only contact from them is a generic email saying your order is in the process stage. All the bad reviews out there I found since I researched them. I fail to see how they are still allowed to operate with cutomers not receiving their orders and Davos Tackle not contactable. How can you have a business that takes peoples money but not be contactable. Please save yourself a very stressful time and buy elsewhere. They might have a cheaoer item but it is not cheap if you don't receive it. I will be doing my best to have something done about this business.

I ordered a wetsuit
I ordered a wetsuit, upon receipt found the wrong size was selected. I emailed them within 5 minutes to rectify order.
They email me back 5 days later saying the order has been processed therefore I have to return which will incur 10% restocking fee.
2 weeks later the item hasn't been shipped, can't see why they couldn't just change the order. I am certain I selected the size I wanted and not sure how the error occurred.
I hate to write negative reviews, please deal.with other online sellers and save yourself the hassle

WARNING! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY
I placed an order for 2 products on the 26th September it wasn't dispatched till the 8 October. They do not tell you that it is standed to be waiting up to 10 business days for them to ship your item. I received 2 items 1 being wrong and they won't refund the difference in price unless I ship the item back to them and I'll be more out of pocket if I do this. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with and will not purchase from them ever again.

Order placed 30 September 2025, delivered 21 October 2025 (21 days). For Australian on-line retail sales that is an absurd service. I followed up after 10 days but sales support only provided on Tuesdays meant my follow up was not actioned in the required time. (Goods will be returned as my fishing trip commenced 18 October - items purchased are no longer of use!)
Manipulative, slow, and the worst customer service in the country
They claim to have some of the best returns process in the country, yet you cannot return incorrect size, or change of mind for anything but store credit (PLUS a 10% restocking fee).
So once you receive your order after waiting approximately a month from date of purchase, say your product did not arrive in time for your trip, there’s no chance of a refund.
That’s right, expect to wait a month at least to receive your order.
And don’t bother contacting customer service. They only work one day a week (Tuesday). Must be exhausting. And on that one day of the week, they will not reply to you.
Please do not bother with these manipulative crooks.
Update:
So the customer service isn’t limited to Tuesdays, as it’s a Friday and Davo is debating customer criticism rather than making the pledge to do better.

Communication Poor & Very Slow
Ordered with davos tackle just some lip grips nothing fancy and it took 2 weeks for them to even pack them let alone get to me. I had no emails/messages saying that there was gonna be a delay or anything like that i then try to see what going on and they respond with a automated response everytime. Just terrible experience communication extremely poor and very slow.

Incredibly slow processing times, no chance of contacting them as they don’t have a phone number and only have customer service hours of 8am to 4pm on Tuesdays.
Won’t be buying from them again.
Edit - it took 2 weeks to receive the order with no information from davos until 2 days before it arrived.

Placed the order and pay by PayPal on the 23 -9-25 a week later send a query about the delivery and told Davos that I was worried because I had to leave the place on the 5 of October and asked them to change the address,the only answer was,this office is only operating every Tuesday,impossible to ring,davos did not answer my request and I am in Melbourne and the good were delivered today the 8 of October 15 DAYS AFTER BEN PAY ,DISAPPOINTED TO SAY THE LEAST and the good are in Lucinda far North Queensland

Lure’s are great and at good prices however there’s a long delay before the order is processed and shipped. Unfortunately the fishing trip was over before they arrived
Very Poor Service
Unfortunately, this business has appalling lead times which mean orders are not dispatched for an extended period of time after the order is placed. I suspect they drop ship for a lot of their stock which means they are probably selling stock they do not have and are ordering it in after they recieve an order for it. I would recommend going to a far more reputable and customer focused seller like MO Tackle, Tackle Warehouse, Anglers Warehouse, Compleat Angler Ringwood, Otto's Tackle World, Fergo's etc. Genuinely surprised that in an industry where repeat business is critical to success that this enterprise remains afloat.

Slow post horrible customer service
Slow post and terrible customer service that is only active on Tuesdays, this purchase was from a store credit I had to take instead of a monetary refund for another item that took 6 weeks to arrive and by that time I no longer needed. If you don't mind the item being delivered by horse and cart and customer service replying 1 time a month on a Tuesday lunch time then this is the store for you.

Order #122653, interesting that you reply straight away to this but take 2 weeks to reply to an email then I hear nothing again for another 2 weeks, how does a business in this day and age take as long as your company to ship an order, then when I requested to cancel the order prior to it being fulfilled you denied that and when I requested a refund as I had to purchase another reel for a trip I had planned, you said I could not get a monetary refund just a store credit because it was a change of my mind... Most reviews say the same thing. Everyone I've told this too has agreed they will not be buying from Davos tackle, I'll continue to let people know my experience, mostly because I was happy to settle this via email but you weren't so here we are....

Not a good way to shop
Not a good way to shop.
I messaged seconds after the order went through as I saw the mistake on colour selection. I get a message back a week later saying they can’t do anything after the order has been processed.
It could have easily been solved if they attended their emails sooner..
I needed them for my trip in 2 weeks Now I’ll have to buy again and they are going to take 10% off the sale price to restock.
So in the end, even though they are cheap, I am now stuck with buying another one for the trip.

Don’t bother with Davo’s tackle if you would like your items sent
Ordered items on the 14August .Not one notification to say shipped until 5 days later saying “they’re working on it “ well still nothing despite my enquiries that were never answered and left warehouse finally on the 29th . Then an another 2 weeks and delivered finally on the 11 August . All this was terrible service and the items bought arrived way too late for our fishing trip !
Do not bother with this company , go with stores that care from now on .
