I needed a decent lamp for painting detail. I am not a professional artist but came across this company website and was attracted by the clean look of its products and the neat efficient online ordering site. My choice arrived quickly and was very well packaged . The lamp is very good quality for the money in my opinion. I chose a mid to low range price within my budget but It has a good heavy base and an easily adjustable flexible arm high enough from floor level and adjustable in all directions and plenty of lead attached to the plug . The magnifying lens is fine (around tea-plate size) for me and the levels of light and magnification it produces are ideal for my needs , it also has a loose dust cap for the lens when not in use . The range of products online seemed very good and the higher spec items were more sophisticated so I was happy to find one at a suitable price and spec. This one was exactly as described and if anything I was surprised at how good this item is within my budget . The only reason I gave a four star not a five review overall at the moment is that I want to use it for a while and see how the flex arm performs in regular use but first impressions are it is a nice looking thing - functional with everything I wanted and at a very good price and spec compared with others I researched on the market. Very pleased with my choice . Thank you Daylight Company .

The absolute best magnifier/lamp out there! Would recommend to anyone doing fine needlework. I have three other Daylight lamps and the company never disappoints. If anyone is thinking Ott Light, don’t; a Daylight lamp and bulb is far superior in giving a true daylight experience.

The lamp and stand are good but the plastic (supposed) magnetised cover for the magnifying glass is weak and does not hold the cover steady if the lamp is moved at all. This wouldn’t be a problem if the cover was simply a good snug fit, but it isn’t and it appears it was designed to be held in by the 3 small magnets. My worry is that I will knock off the cover, it will break and then I’ll have to cover it with a cloth when not in use. So - in my humble opinion it’s a pointless plastic cover on a good lamp. If I can add a video to this review retrospectively, I will. I will also contact Daylight to ask if this is a fault or designed that way and my guess it’s their manufacturer’s issue.

I've owned a Daylight product for almost 20 years and still enjoy it. However, one of the casters on the base broke, so now I leave it stationary. I bought an Ott 2-in1 but needed another one for our RV (I'm an avid cross stitcher). I decided to try the new Magnificent Pro. I love that it has 3 levels of brightness. The switch for the on/off and brightness levels is very convenient. I'm using it currently as a floor lamp, but have the option to make it a table lamp, if needed. The only thing I think that can be improved is the cover for the magnifying glass. It's supposed to have magnets, but there is definitely room for improvement. Otherwise, I love the light. Great quality. Oh, I brought the Ott lamp to the RV so I can continue to use my favorite light at home.
