Very bad service

Very bad service. Their paylah has complicated issues to retrieve the password back. Their customer service call centre is also very slow to respond.

Keeps preventing me from transacting…

Keeps preventing me from transacting online and causing a lot of headaches when I wish to make online purchases. It's not just once, it has happened more than 5 times and the problem still wasn't resolved even after informing them of the issue multiple times.

My recommendation is to not use this bank, find another one that is more trustworthy.

Hated this bank from the beginning.

Hated this bank from the beginning.
Pour service client, even so I had a company opened they refused to open a bank account until I found a physical address for my shop, which was in no way their problem. They require SMEs to keep 10 000 s$ AVERAGE on their account but would charge 40 s$ to you if you're at 9 999s$ at the end of the month even though the average is above the required 10 000. They charge the fee without even sending a notification, email or anything.
The list of complain could be a lot longer.
Run away from DBS business if your a SME

They don't stick to their words and…

They don't stick to their words and it's all fishy things. They show you offers at beginning but then turn down them saying different different conditions while the offer is straight forward. Worst part is service executive doesn't care to cater your issues and never respond on her own even after a month.

Terrible for SME's

Terrible for SME's. They claim to be SME friendly but put huge hurdles in place to open an account, and they take months before they reject you.

Having rejected you they then keep on sending spam emails telling you how good they are and suggesting they are great for SMEs and why don't you open an account.
Unsubscribe doesn't work.
Email complaints don't work.
Calling them doesn't stop the spam.
They do not listen to you. Avoid!

Never able to get hold of anyone thru…

Never able to get hold of anyone thru phone or email. Very frasturing. I'd called the customer service hotline and wait for beyond one hour and still not yet is available to answer. Emailed them multiple times and never get a response.

Rate based on their credit cards

Rate based on their credit cards, service are the worst among all banks. They will not entertained on the late waiver regardless 1st time or multiple time. For cancellations, they are swift and no intention of customers retention.

Lucky I got no loan, instalment or outstanding so can cancel and use alternative. For those considering loans or instalment, seek other banks.

OCBC services are better for me and the cherish their customers.

Looking at the reviews, please go thru as many also have same experience before signing up with dbs or posb.

Getting bad online

The DBS online banking is getting bad. I am overseas and trying to change my fixed deposit maturity instruction online. The website claims i can do it online, but after i input all the details the system says 'function disabled and call bank'. I try to compose a message to the bank, the messaging function is totally disabled other than getting fee waiver for credit card and cashline. The digibot is not updated with the latest changes and patchwork of the online system.
Piyush was commenting last month on the Global Singapore network about how engineering is changing their bank. But i am seeing a decaying infrastructure that is going backwards.

Unprofessional

This is not a service review but a complaint. DBS professionalism is very poor from what I have seen/experienced. DBS offered a friend of mine (Polytechnic student) an internship and decided to withdrawal their offer at the very end, due to interested candidates from Universities. There is no issue with companies choosing a candidate whom is more qualified than another. However the problem lies with the fact that they went back on an agreement. If there were no acceptance from the other party then yes, it is alright to withdraw an offer. However both offer and acceptance has been establish in this case. So to DBS, seriously what the hell?

Not Recommended for International Clients

I am an International client .
Last March 7, I made standard request. Today is June 1, and I still have not received what I need.
I have submitted all the documents that was required numerous times , used DHL to ensure
proper delivery, and made regular phone calls to their call center.

The only group that seems to be working well is the DBS call center. Unfortunately, they are dependent on
- the competence of the rest of the company
- their attitude towards international clients
- and how much they value customer satisfaction

They have obviously failed in all of these items. It is not part of DBS' core values.

It has been traumatic dealing with DBS .

Horrible Customer Service

I was trying to get hold with of a customer service online today via phone banking. After a long wait online for 35 mins still not a single soul is available super frustrating, service far room for improvement. In addition, have requested a week ago to lift out the cash advance fee as accidentally used the wrong card as atm for withdrawal confirmed with the customer service on 27/04 n yet I was billed in my May statement? Poor customer service.

Horrible customer care experience

Worst customer service ever. Had to spend 2 hours on the phone with 3 separate calls from me to the generic customer care hotline (waiting on hold for 20-30 mins each time). Multiple calls were due to repeated errors in DBS customer care personnel's advice to resolve an issue, with no accountability from DBS nor were there real solutions provided. The error in question was a credit card being mailed erroneously by DBS to an outdated address that is neither the registered address, or the one stated on the credit card application form. Not only a privacy risk, but also fraud! Seriously considering closing all DBS accounts now that you cannot even write a complaint or feedback, nor have customer-centric solutions offered through customer care hotlines. Says a lot too that I'm leaving this feedback here just so that it can be sent to them, since as a customer, I cannot find any other way of sharing this feedback to them directly.

Substandared customer service

I was told to send in a form to close an account. But there was no reply after 3 weeks. I called, and they said I have to go over. For another account, they did not reply for a few weeks, when I called, they said the signature is different. So they just sat on it!!!!!

The customer service officer just rattles off at a speed no average person can comprehend.

Worst “customer service” I’ve…

Worst “customer service” I’ve experienced from any bank I have ever dealt with. Don’t usually write reviews, but DBS is not even responding to my emails at all. I tried to call but was hung up on after 10 minutes of waiting. Emails get a generic response, if any. I need to complete ONE transaction and then will close my DBS accounts forever, but seems like staff is still unwilling to help.
