Kia Llandudno ... never again!
Kia Llandudno. November 2022, took our car in for MOT test and service and was told by one of the male staff members that the car needed all of the brakes and discs replacing, which would cost nearly £800. Mentioned this to a friend who suggested that I take the car to a local, independent garage who he knew to be highly recommended.
So did as was suggested only to be told that nothing, in terms of the parts Kia told us needed replacing, were in any way defective.
Just had the second MOT test carried out at the local garage, and still no requirement to have brakes and discs replaced.
Kia's (Llandudno) behaviour in this instance is disgraceful! Was it because my female partner took the car in and was taken advantage of or is this general practice?
Do not use Kia Dorridge.
My recommendation, stay away from Kia Allen at Dorridge. Disappointing customer service doesn’t begin to describe their attitude to customers… hopefully other dealerships are better but my experience at Dorridge is they don’t call you back at all even when promised, ignore issues, and lie when you inform head office. It just make me regretting buying Kia in the first place. Their warranty is also not worth the paper it’s written on.
Kia you should be ashamed
Dealer failed to update Sat nav again !!
AND they charge you £40
What a rip off for doing nothing except pressing a button
To do it your self you need a USB with 25GB which I don’t have
And only use iPad so cannot do it anyway
My Audi did it automatically!!
Poor Customer service and car work
I recently had an issue with my car where I was informed that the clutch needed to be replaced in Dunstable, despite the fact that the vehicle is fairly new and all my MOTs and services have been carried out through your team. The repair cost me a significant amount, and I also had to hire a car while mine was being inspected, as I rely on my vehicle for work.
After collecting my car, I was assured that everything was in order, yet less than 24 hours later, the clutch failed again while my family and I were in the vehicle. I had to pay for recovery services, extend the car hire, and cover additional petrol expenses for the hired vehicle. Although this issue required a relatively minor fix, it took almost three days for your team to even start work on the car.
I was initially told that I would be compensated for all these expenses and was asked to provide the relevant invoices. However, the response I received via email (after all our prior discussions had been conducted over the phone) stated that you do not provide refunds. Instead, I was offered two free services as a gesture of "goodwill."
This offer is not only inadequate but also an insult, considering the stress and danger this incident caused my family. It's clear that this gesture is simply an attempt to retain me as a customer, despite the fact that it would be void if I were to sell or lose the car.
If this issue is not resolved to my satisfaction, I will be left with no choice but to pursue legal action
I highly recommend the Kia
I highly recommend the Kia. Castleford, dealership!
We were sold a car by Darren, he was amazing from start to finish.
He is highly knowledgable, he gave us great communication, we highly recommend anyone wanting to buy a car from this dealership. Definitely 10/10 customer service.
I attended the NEC in Birmingham on…
I attended the NEC in Birmingham on Saturday, October 5th, as my car is due for a change in November, and I was interested in Kia’s electric vehicles. However, when I approached one of their representative with hair down blonde colour, she walked away from me mid-conversation. I had to go after her and explicitly state that I was interested in an electric car. Her response? A dismissive “Are ya?” as if my inquiry didn’t matter.
After that unprofessional encounter, I walked away. If this is how Kia handles potential customers, I’ll stick with Audi or BMW—brands that actually value their clientele. Hugely disappointing.
Nk kia Nottingham
If NK KIA Nottingham is a credible branch to what kia’s values, morals and representation are then I am truly appalled. You would think the customer service would be paramount to this trading company KIA, unfortunately this is not what we received. We were under the impression that for a huge very successful business that we would be given a fair, truthful and honest sale regarding a preowned car that was placed in KIA showroom (NK Kia Nottingham)
We had been looking for weeks for the right purchase when we came across a KIA Sportage on auto trader, it was advertised with all our desired spec, and a great family car for our young family. This had heated seats and heated steering wheel upon the advertisement. We clicked the link that took us to the kia dealership and again written in the spec was heated seats and heated steering wheel. Un be known to us the advertisement unfortunately was not true to its word. when dealing with a huge dealership why would we question the advertisements that are a mirror image on both professional/legal platforms.
My husband had gone to pick up the car a few hours drive, once there the deal was closed and the car signed for, he hadn’t drove half a mile when he noticed, the false advertisement on the car. The car advert included heated seats and heated steering wheel. Upon finding out the car wasn’t up to the spec we required or advertised, he returned the car within 10-minutes of leaving the dealership. where he was told “it’s your car now” he tried to reason with them, but to no avail. We didn’t want the car we were wrongfully sold. My husband left the car there as he wasn’t getting anywhere with the member off staff who had closed the sale.
Ourselves and the finance company cannot understand why they are stating “we cannot get our money back” we have had statements such as “the car is left at our own risk” I mean why can’t we return wrongfully advertised goods? I am willing to share the unbelievable correspondence that we have been sent, but I will give NK kia an opportunity first to resolve this issue before I do so. i.e advertisement change and emails! I do have all evidence needed!
I have never witnessed such rude arrogance of a company. The slogan “movement that inspires” surely starts with customer service. To which I have no inspiration to do a deal again with a Kia company. “Strive for perfection” is not what I’m seeing. There is no slander or malice here in this review, just an honest hard-working couple with a young family who was desperate for a family car!
In conclusion to this review, we are desperate for the right honest outcome that we deserve! Our full money back. Our youngest is just six-month-old, its hard being a full-time working family with two children without the stress and anxiety that this case is causing. I feel that this needs to be resolved asap in a professional way that I have not witnessed thus far from the NK KIA company. I would not recommend anybody to purchase a car from this dealership as the customer service has been horrifying.
Horrifying experience
Kia and Allen Kia Bath - give them a miss
I left an excellent review of Allen Kia Bath, back in May 2022.
This time it is a very negative review. It has taken 4 months for the dealership to send details of a problem to Kia about the paintwork on the bonnet of my car, which was diagnosed by a Kia approved paint repairer, as an original manufacturing fault. Kia has come back, and is refusing to honour the warranty.
After the hassle, and disappointment I have experienced with both Kia and Kia Bath dealership, my next car will not be a Kia. I certainly would not recommend Kia Bath for purchase or service of a car.
Kia Kirkcaldy branch.
Kia, Kirkcaldy. My husband just bought a car from Michael in the Kirkcaldy branch. Brilliant friendly service, fast and efficient. Would definitely recommend and we drove all the way from Glasgow to get it Thanks.
Excellent customer service as always
My Kia Niro EV 3broke down on the way back from Scotland on 18th July with a very unusual fault and after a horrendous experience of the AA taking 20 hours to finally deliver us and the car back to Peterborough , Boongate Kia started trying to diagnose the issue which was finally traced (with the help of Kia Technical) to a fault in the charging module and the failure of the eCompressor used for climate control and battery conditioning.
Unfortunately due to the rarity of this component failing no spares were available in the UK and the part was placed on back order, meaning the car was off the road for exactly two months.
During this two months, Boongate Kia have kindly kept me on the road, loaning me spare cars that were comparable cars and switched me to another EV as soon as one became available.
I cannot thank the whole team at Boongate Kia for the help, support and above all patience (given that I was probably a complete pain in the backside). The whole customer facing staff were amazing in keeping me informed, putting up with my calls and their professionalism. Special thanks must go to Andy, Simon, James, Jack, Tom and Cassandra along with the hidden team who diagnosed, fixed and valeted my car which I picked up today, 19th September.
I brought my Kia for £20,000. DON'T
I brought my Kia for £20,000 and with in Less then 2 years my car broke down the head gasket had gone and the turbo was not working either. After over 6 months of trying to get the work done under warranty [through other kia dealships] Mantles did the work and got the car repaired. when i was told it was ready they then charged me £750 for a new battery and other bits that were not covered under the warranty, but for a car that i had for less 2 years and had sat there for over 6 months i was upset to be charged anything special as i had to use my own money [£5000] to rent a replacement car because i was told i can't have a courtesy car.
I got my car back and with in a few weeks my exhaust system failed. So the car went back up 2 Mantles and they did a hard reset and brought the car back to me and 2 days later the same thing happened they then did a second hard reset and brought it back. The manager said to me to save money have the Catalytic converter cleaned by someone for few hundred pound. I asked why can't it be done under the warranty as it is obviously link to the other issues, his reply was we can try but he doubts it would be done. so once again using my own money i had the exhaust system fixed.
10 months later my turbo goes again, my warranty has now finished so when i called Mantles to get it fixed under the parts guarantee, they tell me its not covered as i didn't pay for the part as it was originally done under the warranty.
i mean are they having a laugh with in 10 months the part brakes again and they refuse to do anything. This just shows the poor work that Mantles have do.
They don't care about you once the money is spent. I spent £20000 plus nearly £10000 on other repairs and retails.
Mantles manager even said to me theses things can happen then tried to sell me another car he also said to make sure all work and services are done through them, WELL THATS A JOKE. They only want your money.....
£30,000 for a car, which in total over the years i had it ive only been able to drive for 2 years tops. OH i forgot to say the car only has 60,000 on the clock.
WHAT A JOKE.
Save your money don't buy from Kia or Mantles their 7 year warranty means NOTHING at all. They will always try and find a way out of helping you.
Warranty void.
My son was about to buy a Kia Stonic five years old one owner and five services done by Kia, all done in the recommended time apart for the first one that was done two months late and had only three thousand miles. Kia told me the warranty was void and ignored the fact that Covid prevented having it done before.
Kia’s owners and management are nothing short of gangsters.Shame on them.
Fantastic Service

Approach with CAUTION!
I purchased a new car from Speedwell Kia Exeter in collaboration with Forcescarsdirect in September 2023. Unfortunately, my experience with Speedwell Kia has been extremely disappointing, marred by poor service, lack of communication, and an apparent unwillingness to take responsibility for their mistakes.
The most significant issue I encountered was that Speedwell Kia Exeter never registered the vehicle in my name, nor did they send me the V5C document so I could do it myself. Despite clear instructions from Forcescarsdirect, including an email sent in September 2023 highlighting the error, Speedwell Kia failed to rectify the situation. The email from Forcescarsdirect specifically instructed Speedwell Kia to correct the registration details with the DVLA, yet nothing was done.
Nearly a year later, in August 2024, when my car tax was due for renewal, Speedwell Kia finally contacted me to ask if I had received the V5C. I had not, as they had never sent it. It was only at this point that they took action and contacted the DVLA to get the car registered in my name, as it was still incorrectly registered under Forcescarsdirect.
What makes this situation even more frustrating is that Speedwell Kia appeared to deflect responsibility, implying that the issues were due to Forcescarsdirect. However, the communication from Forcescarsdirect, which I have in writing, clearly shows that they had flagged the problem and instructed Speedwell Kia on how to fix it back in 2023. This lack of accountability and transparency from Speedwell Kia is deeply concerning.
As someone who has served in the forces, I expected a higher level of professionalism and after-service, especially from a dealership that partners with Forcescarsdirect to cater to military personnel. Unfortunately, my experience with Speedwell Kia Exeter fell far short of these expectations. I sincerely hope that my treatment was not due to my background, but regardless, the service I received was unacceptable.
Speedwell Kia Exeter’s core responsibility is to sell vehicles and ensure a smooth registration process. Their failure to do so, combined with their attempts to shift the blame, has left me questioning their commitment to customer service and integrity. This experience has been a source of significant frustration and disappointment, and I would strongly advise potential customers to be cautious when dealing with this dealership.
I hope that Speedwell Kia Exeter takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements to prevent other customers from going through a similar ordeal.
Customer service FAIL KIA
I have a kia Sportage less than I year old. In March it needed an exhaust filter. It took 8 weeks to repair. Whilst keeping the car they damaged the front window screen a host of scratches. I was told they would do it when they serviced it. I phoned the service depot. To remind them of the scratches. They told me bookings don't know what they are doing. They just get bonuses for booking things in. We don't do glass repairs. I phoned auto glass who advised me the cost would be £1675.00 for a new front screen
I phoned motability who advised me it has to be the garage who pays. My car had its service today. No contact was made to me. It was returned no glass done. I recieved a video hours later With an immediate repair needed. The under tray needs replacing.
It's a five minute three screw job. I phoned to ask why they didn't warn me. And why didn't they just do it. I was told it's a check of the vehicle not a booked repair. Again I'm back onto central booking. Still waiting for a call from the manager. I will never choose KIA again
Lyndon was very good
Lyndon was very good, took time to explain everything about the car and had plenty of patience, did rush us at all.

Kia Sportage 2018 was the worst car I have ever bought in my entire life!
I bought the car from Cargiant 1 year and a half ago! The car was already 5 years old and they assured me that all the services were up to date and it was still under warranty!
And I believed them! 🤬
One day it simply stopped working, I called Kia Servicing Coulsdon
And I took my car to the tow truck and after 3 weeks they told me that they could not find out what was wrong with my car and that I had to pay £700 just to open the engine to see what happened 😳 And that my car had lost its warranty because the previous owner had only been in the garage once and therefore the warranty was void!! How was it my fault if I had not really checked the documents!!
I believed Cargiant's words 😶🌫️
I sent the Kia to another garage and they immediately discovered that it was the turbo and the engine burst!
In short, I will never buy a Kia again in my life!
