This company still wants me to pay for…

This company still wants me to pay for the months I was physically unfit to use the gym. (with evidence provided from my gp) Appalling. They are adding late charges onto my account, all sorts of random amounts. They said the late fee would be waived. It hasn't been waived and that I would no longer recive debt collection messages which I still recieve! All of their staff say different things. I would avoid signing up to any membership that uses this company. If anyone wants to sign a petition for the court let me know. I'll. Be intouch

Very disappointed

Very disappointed. This company arranges direct debt for gym membership. Had two emails to say they couldn’t collect payment. Having spoke to them the same day was told to ignore the emails as it was an error and everyone received the same email. Later the same day received two texts stating they couldn’t collect payment. Late payments would be charged. They shouldn’t have anyones private details as they are incapable of doing simple direct debits .

I’d give zero star if I could

I’d give zero star if I could

I would not sign up to any gym if they use this company, ridiculous charges for payment which are a day late, very difficult to cancel subscriptions

Absolutely diabolical

Absolutely diabolical! I canceled my son's membership because he didn't like it. I was then bombarded with threatening emails and late payment charges, and told I owe extra months. So, a 6 year old child decides he doesn't like his club and you can't cancel when you want? You have to give months warning and pay them months? Hahah. Fk off. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Horrific experience

Horrific experience.

I cancelled my membership with the swimming pool as I have no income, as is my right to do so.

This company have hounded me for money I don’t owe ever since. The fees grow extortionately high every time they email me. It’s a disgrace that people are being hounded like this during a National cost of living crisis.

I have reported these crooks to the Financial Ombudsman today.

Should be shut down

The worst company I have delt with they avoid answering questions. Reply only to what they want to. Lie to you on the phone. Will do as little as possible to help. Company should be shut down for how they operate.

Unreasonable T&C's

Unreasonable T&C's. They do everything possible to make it as difficult as they can to freeze/cancel memberships. Extremely dodgy company.

Definetly a red flag if a gym uses this company. I'd avoid at all costs if possible.

If you're going to cancel your membership, cancel your direct debit before they try and rob you of any extra £.

Has anyone actually paid the extra fees these guys try and charge you? Surely even if they took it to court they'd never get anything from it.

You are able to see some of the companies employees on their LinkedIN page, they need to ge held accountable for supporting this scam.

(100%) £15 late fee on a gym membership…

(100%) £15 late fee on a gym membership and being charged an extra payment. I'm really not sure that a 100% late fee is representative of the effort needed to get the late payment paid.

I emailed to complain but the person has clearly not read my email or tried to understand what I am saying.

I'm somehow paying 13 instalments on a 12 months of membership. (No sign up fee)

Shame I couldn’t give them zero stars…

Shame I couldn’t give them zero stars this company has been taking payments from my account since 2020 for a gym membership that I was told was cancelled due to Covid I raised an indemnity with the bank and got my money back and now I’m receiving threatening letters saying debt collectors are coming ! They don’t reply to emails they are con artists and fraudsters

DFC are happy to collect payments on behalf of businesses they gave lost contact with

I cancelled my gym membership with a member of gym staff in February 2022 due to relocating to help a terminally ill family member.

Since then I’ve had numerous emails from DFC claiming that I’m in a six month contract and owe them £X amount, they’ve applied late fees etc. which has now taken my outstanding balance to over £200 in fees.

I’ve contacted them numerous times since February regarding this and they’re unable to do anything to help me until they have a response from their client. Who they have conveniently lost contact (which is very concerning) with as they’ve had no response to their own emails to them since Feb but obviously DFC is still happy to collect funds on their behalf.

I’ve spoken to a number of DFC colleagues who are extremely inconsistent in what they tell me - one week they can escalate to a manger (who never contacts me), the next week they don’t have a manager and the best one was they only have the facility to take incoming calls.
I’ve been promised updates from them on a number of occasions but its always left down to me to chase them for an update.

In addition to this they provided me with contact details for a completely different business. The managing director of which was very unhappy that DFC have provided his contact details in relation to a business that has nothing to do with him.

Debit finance are taking money from my account this is puzzling for me as I have no memberships etc to warrant this. I am about to cancel the direct debit as I have had no response from any of my enquiries

DODGY

During the phone conversation I have agreed to cancel membership and make two payments in two installments.. I went to make a payment and it charged me two payments straight away and I do believe direct debit is not cancelled!! Record your phone conversations with them and ask to represent them self's before start the conversation!! They are dodgy don't trust them

Absolute frauds and con-artists.

These absolute charlatans continue to try and extort a gym membership that I cancelled in June 2021. They came back with a change of payment company (from the council to DFC) then within 2 or 3 weeks were trying to take debits from my account when the direct debit had been cancelled for over 3 months.
They even ADMITTED it had been reactivated in error, and 5 months after admitting THAT, they now email to say a balance is owed 3 times that of the original.
This company is an absolute joke, a fraud, and needs to be investigated.

If your a business do NOT use this…

If your a business do NOT use this company, they do not return calls, reply to emails etc. If your a customer do NOT join any company that uses them, if you do good luck as you will need it. Shame we can not give a minus score as I am sure that would be a more accurate reflection of this company. Poor show debit finance, feel free to rename as really bad service finance.

Absoulte shower of ...

Absoulte shower of .... Poor customer services, charged me £15 quid for there mess up and said if I don't pay it there taking further action. So just cancel the membership save yourself some money and go to a gym where you pay a monthly with cash and dont use these people. 1 star because can't go any lower.

One star is too many for this…

One star is too many for this organisation. They keep trying to charge me fees I don't owe. I've now referred the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service in an attempt to finally resolve it.

Any chance to give 0 stars? My daughter signed up to football weekly class - she longer enjoyed it so we cancelled the DD - we received a late payment notice and read the terms, granted we did not give 1 months notice, so paid the fee and continued the class for another month, while also at the same time, giving 1 months notice via their online portal. Received an auto generated email stating no action can be taken for 10 days due to covid (we are in Feb 2022). Based on other reviews, I anticipate another late fee notice in March, but sorry, we have now given 1 month notice and done everything fairly....so feel free bring on the threats of payment demands....I welcome the legal challenge to pass my time by and will be reporting to Watchdog, FCA, Martin Lewis Show and anyone else to ensure this firm is stopped.
