After several abortive attempts to…
After several abortive attempts to elicit a response, from an electrician , to rewire a new shower pump in the loft, I chanced upon this company....they replied to my request within a couple of hours, listened to what I wanted, and within two days had 2 sparkles at my door..
Both were young, friendly and polite....I explained what I needed and left them to it......no fuss, no noise and under an hour later it was all finished.....they tidied up after themselves even though I said not to bother.....
Excellent communication between the the company owner and myself....ill be using them again when I need electrics sorting in my properties...
Highly recommended...

Excellent - professional and punctual
Communication was prompt and clear; booking was quick and easy. Electrician arrived right on time and did an excellent job installing smoke alarms and an overhead light fixture, including some impromptu problem-solving when our smoke alarms turned out to be a little more complicated than anticipated. We're very happy with the work itself and the overall service. Highly recommended.

Highly recommended service
Definitive Electrical Solutions are my "go-to" company. I was lucky to find them several years ago when I needed and electric cooker wiring in, and have used them since.
Their team are polite, competent, punctual, and extremely friendly. One of their qualities that impresses me is that they have time for what could be considered smaller jobs. Yesterday, after attending to my issues (a dodgy light-pull in the wet room, and removing and making safe a defunct socket/timer for underfloor heating) Ricky & Matt explained that they were then going to an industrial appointment that sounded to me so complicated that it was worthy of something from a science fiction film.
Definitive Electrical Solutions have the integrity to not to ignore those of us who are smaller, domestic jobs, and I applaud them for that, as in the past, various electricians have told me, "It's not worth my time, mate." That is why I will always use Definitive Electrical Solutions.
Highly recommended.

Be very wary
We are not commenting on the quality of the work carried out by Definitive Electrical Solutions Ltd, but rather their charging structure and poor information about what a job will cost. We cannot judge whether the work they do is worth approximately 3 times what other qualified electricians will charge but we feel customers should at least be warned about what to expect. Their attempts to provide information based on costs per consumer unit and per circuit assume knowledge that many people will not have. We thought we had 3 or 4 circuits (as in an older house), not the 19 which apparently new houses may have. We are not suggesting that Definite Electrical are being deliberately misleading or taking advantage of people’s inexperience, and they do say they need to charge these large amounts to cover their costs. However customers will not get the very unpleasant shock that we had, if they know in advance that they will be paying much more for this service, than they would from an electrician with lower overheads.

We have been expecting your review since your phone calls suggesting that you would leave us a negative review if we did not amend our invoice downwards in your favour.
When your husband first contacted us, we explained how we charge for EICRS - by consumer unit and by circuit. This is a method used by most electricians these days and our own market research suggests that our pricing is broadly in line with our competitors - not, as you state "3 times what other qualified electricians will charge". As much as we would not like to disparage our competitors, if they are able to inspect an electrical installation with three consumer units and nineteen circuits for such a knock-down price, they are either not doing a full and proper safety inspection or are just using that time to quote for future work, with yourselves paying for their quoting time.
Your husband indicated that he understood what was meant by consumer units and circuits and I did explain that if he looked in his consumer unit (or fuse box) he would be able to see how many circuits your property had and would be able to calculate the cost of the EICR. He was not strong-armed into making an appointment with us immediately and he had ample opportunity to take a quick look at the consumer unit. Had he done so he would quite quickly have noticed that your property has well in excess of 6 circuits - nineteen in fact. We record all of our calls and at no point did he appear to have any confusion regarding what consisted of a circuit or consumer unit/ fuse box.
As a company we go out of our way to explain everything, including our pricing structure, and we are happy to answer any questions that customers have and send additional information by email if this is required. In addition, we provide a wealth of free information including plenty of resources on EICRs on our website. We get EICR price enquiries day in and day out and most people, if they don't understand, let us know so we can provide them with the extra clarification they require. However, the vast majority of our callers understand what we mean when we explain our charging structure for EICRs so your assertion that most people won't have that knowledge is incorrect.
It is therefore disappointing that you have chosen to give us a negative review when the issue was with your own understanding - Definitive Electrical
