Myself and my wife travelled from anew York to Boston on NYE. When I got to our seats on the aircraft there was a air stewardess stood at my seat I looked down and there was food all on my seat that hadn’t been cleaned off. I looked at her as if to say am I supposed to sit on that or clean it myself she just looked and walked back down to the back of the plane. I wiped the seat down myself and then the plane was delayed 3 hours while we were sat on it due to an engineering issue. All round a poor and inadequate service from these guys I wouldn’t use again unless I had too!

Recent trip from BWI to SHV and return:
CRJ in SHV had no discernible air from the overhead vents while on the ground during sweltering heat....Buy some air conditioners! Complained to FA about the lack of air and she answered " yeah, this is a known crummy plane "...... but they keep flying it!
MD88 ATL to BWI had no water in the restrooms for handwashing while on the ground...a serious sanitation issue.
Same plane had frayed seatbelts and also a loose plastic cabin panel in the passenger compartment.
Also had to sit next to an enormous fat woman whose bulk spilled over the armrest onto me. Big people need larger seats to keep the rest of us from being crushed.
This airline has a fee for everything. If they could figure a way to charge you for the air you breathed on their crummy, dirty planes. they would do so.
Avoid! Take a train

I have been flying Delta at least a hundred times already, and it was always very very good. Friendly staff, mostly perfectly on time.
Everything was okay
I can't believe all these negative comments. Really, we had a great flight from Zurich to New York and back. Very friendly and gentle personal. No problems, everything was okay.
Beware Delta airlines!
Beware Delta airlines!
I booked a flight earlier this year directly with Delta, I entered all my details, credit card stuff etc then hit 'buy'.
Immediately a box opened up saying that there was high demand for these seats and I either pay approx £100 extra per passenger or lose the seats, as we wanted the holiday we had no option other than to pay the extra.
When we got home I contacted trading standards, they told me to contact ATOL, which I did but they said it's nothing to do with them, best try IATA, which I did, they told me it's nothing to do with them either but I should try ATOL....
So I tried free legal advice who told me it's a bit of a grey area, if my money has been taken from the card then Delta can't change the price, but I have no way of proving whether the money has been taken or not. They did say though that even if it's legal it's not ethical.
So I wrote to Delta, they basically said tough luck, that's the way we operate.
There was nothing on the site to say prices may be subject to change at the last second but I'll bet that if I'd changed my mind a millisecond after hitting 'buy' I wouldn't have been able to say I didn't want the flights!
I've booked many flights, my wife booked thousands as part of her job as a pa and never heard of it, so I guess that being professional scumbags is just part and parcel of being Delta airlines.
Best avoided if possible,
Avoid!!!!!!
I'm not sure what the best method of contact is as your staff on the gate clearly aren't the right way.
Due to the bad weather Atlanta was having (09/08/18) our plane circled over the airport as we weren't cleared to land. I understand this is out on Delta's control but everything afterwards was.
When we eventually landed around 40 minutes later, we had to wait another 25 minutes to get into a walkway as no other flights had left. Again, not Delta's fault or ours.
Us and around 10/12 families rushed to the Delta gate to catch our flight to Manchester (Flight 536) to see the plane still at the gate but we were refused entry. I understand there are certain policies but the flight delay isn't our fault.
Your app told us there was a delay, yet your pilot wouldn't be able to find that out? I find that very hard to believe.
This was only the start of my problems.
Salvatore was the only person from the whole of the Delta crew that wasn't completeley unhelpful, rude, ignorant and obnoxious. He tried his best and eventually managed to get us re routed from our direct flight from Atlanta to Manchester and took us to Orlando and then Orlando to Manchester, not ideal but acceptable.
Salvatore also gave us a 30% hotel reduction as we had to spend overnight in Atlanta.
We eventually found a hotel ourselves as no staff would help us with that, we had to find our own way there, again with no help.
The 30% coupon was worth the paper it was printed on as when we checked the prices online that we paid they were the eact same.
We later found out from other families that were in the same predicament that got seen to after us not only got FREE hotel rooms but also got free food aswell. Can someone please tell me why i was treated differently?
You'd like to believe this was the end of my bad experience but it wasn't.
When we eventually arrived at Orlando and boarded to go Manchester we found that the seats we had paid extra for to be sat together and also for extra leg room hadn't been put on because that was for the flight we missed through no control of our own.
Even though on this flight there were spare seats.
Is this the standard you set at Delta? If so then i won't be using you again.
I would like someone to get in touch to rectify the issues I've experienced.
Great experience
My wife, infant daughter, and I flew delta to NY to see family. The airport staff were amazing and the flight crews were even better. They knew it was our first time flying with a child and they did all they could to assist us. I will definitely fly with them again.

4,5 hours delay because of missing plane. Very bad information and absolute no compensation. Never fly Delta 😡
Some Good-Some bad
My flights were booked through Delta, who affliliated with WestJet for two of my connecting flights. The WestJet legs of my trip were stressful and unpleasant due to extreme heat on the plane and terrible customer service. (I reviewed WestJet separately.) Delta was very helpful resolving an issue with a flight delay involving my WestJet flight on my return home. Where I received zero assistance from WestJet, the Delta representative was very helpful. However, I will not book through Delta again if they choose to affiliate with WestJet for bookings.
Worst service
Worst service, their POS app tells you your not going to make your connection so pick another flight, so you do, and make it in time then went you get there they tell you there is nothing they can do for you, worst customer service ever.

I flew with Delta Airliens within the …
I flew with Delta Airliens within the USA in early December 2016, my lugage managed to get lost whilst in Deltas airlines possession , I can accept that these things happen all be it was the first time that i have had my luggage completely lost in well over 30 years of travel never to be returned, what i cannot accept is the terrible experience i have had in attempting to get my luggage back or to be compensated accordingly.
After evaluating the luggage contents the airline agreed to pay a certain amount of money which was below the real cost of the lost items, regardless i seemed to have no option other than to accept the offering, this had taken the company three months to come back to me with a so called resolution, during this whole process i have emailed the Claims Manager Carla Johnson well over 50 times requesting for the agreed amount to be paid and to be updated, limited correspondence, deflecting the situation and not accepting responsibility seemed to be the common practice by Carla and her department, you would think that after the inconvenience caused and almost six months of waiting that the company would be more receptive towards the situation, Upon Carla receiving my 50 th email requesting an update, she finally replied with a status update that the cheque was sent to me back In March, i have not received a cheque and i am still chasing the whereabouts of the funds, the update received from Carla was only three days ago, I have requested to speak with Carla's Manager on several occasions but again it has all seemed to fall on deaf ears, i would never ever fly with this airline again and highly recommend anyone wishing to fly with this airline to think twice before doing so, i am a frequent flyer and understand that things don’t always go according to plan, however this type of practice from greedy international companies is not acceptable. Shame on you Delta Airliens.

Trust Delta..They understood my typographical error, and made the correction. Their service was great.
From now on when travelling to GA, will only book through Delta.
Again thanks for your help. Have a super day
Decent Airline, poor cabin crew staff
It's unfortunate that the partnership with Virgin is present. The Virgin staff re so friendly and great, I flew back with Delta to the US and their staff are miserable as anything- not a single crew member even cracked a smile and they have the cheek to show you videos before flight on how "great" their airline is. I'm even happy to name and shame- K. Mae was a stand out with some abrupt attitude!
Shame on you..
Never gonna travel with Delta after I learned how you kicked off passengers for speaking another language. It pisses me off when I see how the people are waving goodbye.. They are truly not uncomfortable with presence of the the two guys who got kicked.
Have you no shame !!!
Staff kicked a man off the plane for speaking another language. This is absolutely disgusting behaviour.
YOU HAVE TO BE THE WORST AIRLINE !!!
Can't a person speak in another language
Delta just kick Adam Saleh out because he spoke in arabic? Shame on you
Never fly with Delta
We booked our flights months in advance to Maui from the UK. Booked Virgin all the way which is now part of Delta, so when we arrived in LA after an 11 hour flight Delta had overbooked the flight so we did not get on. This is common practice for Delta, who then ask for volunteers to fly later but if no one volunteers they pick on the passengers who were last to check in. Seen as we were on a long haul flight from the UK this was us.
My daughter and I had saved and booked a holiday of a lifetime to Maui and Delta could not fly us out untill 2 days later.
They paid for a hotel a meal vouchers and compensation of $1300 but we had not luggage because it went on the flight.
The money did not make up for the fact that we missed 2 days of our holiday of a lifetime. We had already paid for a rental car and accommodation and transfers so we lost a lot really.
I can't believe Delta are allowed to do this day in day out, and what an earth is Virgin doing going into partnership with such a crap airline.
Richard Branson we were very disappointed!!!
