ONLINE CONSULTATION

Dr Ashworth previously carried out a successful procedure for me several years ago. Having seen him last year and following submission of further details online, I received a prompt response and ultimately an appointment for treatment.

Excellent, Fast & Detailed Response

I have seen Mr Ashworth both in clinic and have used this service twice since. I have found him to be extremely knowledgeable in his field of Dermatology and on all occassions has helped me out when I have been experiencing signifcant flare ups of my condition. He provides detailed reports with practical advice and the right medication. The response time, considering I can't even get an appointment with my own GP is extremely fast and I would have no hesitations in recommending this service to anyone I know that is in need of some expert skin advice. Thank you so much again for your help, it's much appreciated.

Absolutely rubbish

Absolutely rubbish. Waited over a week for a response when it claims it’ll be in 48 hours. I explained in detail my condition & after finally getting a response, they just repeated back everything I had said to them & went on their merry way. No advice, no help, no recommendations, no follow up, nothing. Before I got my response I told them I hadn’t received my consultation yet & they promised to refund me 50%. This was almost a month ago & I am yet to receive any refund. I have contacted them 8 times now & nothing. Bear in mind this cost me €95. Horrible service & horrible customer service. I don’t know how this business is still running, absolutely unacceptable!

I am truly sorry that you are dissatisfied with our service - this is a very rare response - the vast majority of our customers think the service is excellent value - I have checked your report and you are correct - your incoming information was sent to us at 12:36 April 6 - and our outgoing report was delayed until April 14 at 01:23 - this delay of eight days, although pretty good in terms of Healthcare in general, is not acceptable to us, we want to get our reports out in three days maximum - so yes you are due a significant refund and I will double check that and get it organised again today - you are incorrect, completely incorrect, to state " non advice o help no recommendations " - I have checked your report in detail, it consists of 1711 words and in that report there were two different treatment plans outlined in detail and offered on prescription - we included our Direct line OFFICE telephone number for you to let us know how to proceed and the report also contains the Email for our online service - I am sorry to say I cannot find any evidence of voice messages or emails so I am sorry about what happened there - I cannot explain it - I am completely satisfied with the quality of your report which details the necessity for blood test depending upon which treatment service you chose - the advice is solid and sound - and I wish you the best of luck - I will check your refund again today which will take about 10 days to get back onto your credit card - best regards - the SKIN team

I have been a patient of Doctor Ashworth before both as a face to face and on line. His written reply was very helpful and informative. He might not be the cheapest but I feel it’s worth paying that bit extra for the quality of the service. Highly recommend.

Fast, efficient. Would recommend 100%

Fast, efficient online dermatology service. My husband’s spreading rash was diagnosed quickly and he received and electronic prescription which I collected from my local pharmacy. No hassle at all. Highly recommended

I had developed an unusual rash that I was quite worried about. The wait time for an NHS dermatologist appointment was over four weeks, and I didn’t want to leave it that long without answers, so I decided to try this service instead.

I’m so glad I did. Within just three days, I received a detailed, informed response that clearly explained what was going on, along with a prescription to help clear it up. The advice didn’t just stop there — I was also given really helpful guidance on maintaining healthy skin and preventing future issues.

The whole process was quick, professional, and reassuring. I felt listened to and properly cared for. I would absolutely recommend this service to anyone who needs prompt dermatology advice without a long wait.

Fantastic service

Fantastic service, the Dermatologists came back to me within 48 hours and diagnosed my severe case of Eczema.

They provided a prescription at my local pharmacy and provided ongoing care where needed! I would definitely reccomend!

GPs get very little Derm training in the UK - and Derm is very very difficult because there is NOTHING TO MEASURE OR TEST - you either know what you are dealing with or you have no idea - that is why you need an expert to help out - we are here for you 24/7 - thanks for the words and good review - regards

Dear Sue - I have checked your report on the system - the reason you have "not had" your consultation is that you have not followed the correct confidentiality pathway for private medical reports - it is clearly stated everywhere on the website that you DO NOT receive an email report from us (which lack confidentiality) you have to log back into the system and download your report -using your own password your case was sent in to us at 16:19 on Dec 4 - your management plan was loaded onto your private portal for your attention at 09:05 the next day Dec 5 and has been there since that time - less than 24 hours after your payment - best regards

Maybe I’m naive to the world we live in…

Maybe I’m naive to the world we live in nowadays or maybe I expected too much but I paid £95 on Saturday after a year of constant back and forth with NHS about a cyst on my face. I receive an email back today which told me to try book into Alexandra Hospital and terminology used stated “it looks funny” I just expected so much more than to be told what I already knew. I could have just booked an appointment privately and saved my self the £100 but we live and learn. The secretary I spoke to was understanding and explained but extremely dissatisfied and feels like wasted a lot of money to be told absolutely nothing new.

I am genuinely sorry that you thought you could get more from sending in a photo and your history (without seeing someone for an actual physical examination of a potentially complicated problem) - yes we can only go so far with an online consultation at £95 (approximately 30% of the cost of an actual consultation privately ) - your history and the anatomical location of your problem were such that I offered to see you myself but that I advised specialist surgical assessment (by a chosen and trusted colleague in this specialised area) and I stand by that management plan - I advised a consultation at a hospital and with a specific surgical expert who in my opinion would give you the best surgical opinion - that piece of advice is very specialised - knowing exactly who to see for a potentially complicated problem - I think that is very reasonable - I myself stated this "I myself do a lot of surgery, but this looks a bit funny" - I prefer to speak in plain understandable English with my patients rather than complicated medical language and I think that is reasonable - I understand someone else may take a different view on the style of language - once again sorry if you were expecting something else - best regards
