My fiancée ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses from DesignerOptics.com. What she received was a pair of glasses that looked like the bottom of soda bottles. The edges of the lenses were ground by someone who knew nothing of what they were doing, creating bright white rings around the edges of the lenses.
When we presented this problem to DesignerOptics.com, they blamed it on my fiancée's "pupil distance" and said they were "not responsible for esthetics".
My fiancée has been wearing glasses for most of her 50+ years of life, and also worked in the optical field. I too have worn glasses for most of my 60+ years of life, and have never seen such poorly-made eyeglasses.
We were unable to get a resolution with DesignerOptics.com, so we sent the frames she got from them to another company to have prescription sunglass lenses made, and they came back beautifully done... Proof positive that the problem was not the "pupil distance", but the lab at DesignerOptics.com.
(We have photos and email strings to prove all these statements).
So, if you want to pay for poorly made lenses, and then get gaslighted by the company that made the error, and lose hundreds of dollars along the way, then use DesignerOptics.com.
But if you want your glasses done right, the first time, choose someone else.

My experience with DesignerOptics is is two fold the glasses I purchased are as I expected but the there return policy is really terrible and sneaky!!
I purchased the a pair of glasses online and when checking out I wanted to know what comes in the “box” it didn’t show anything but they do say many people purchase these cases with the glasses so I am to understand that there is no case so I purchased them.
When my package arrived I found that the glasses has a very nice hard case if its own and there was no need for the other case so I contacted customer service and asked for refund then they say if you send via them it will cost $9.00+ or $5.00 restocking fee if I send it back in my own label such BS I was so disappointed you should disclose what comes with the glasses 👓 I feel so cheated!!!
I WILL NEVER BUY FROM YOU AGAIN!!

Deeply regret ordering from Designer Optics — buyer beware
I deeply regret purchasing prescription glasses from Designer Optics and would strongly caution others before ordering from this company.
Designer Optics does not offer a virtual try-on, so when ordering online, I had to rely on the frame measurements provided on their website. I did exactly that. When my glasses arrived, they were far too large for me and did not fit as I expected based on those measurements. I cannot wear them.
I contacted Designer Optics hoping to simply EXCHANGE the frames for a pair that actually fit. They refused because the glasses contained prescription lenses.
I am now stuck with approximately $400 prescription glasses that I cannot wear.
I understand that prescription lenses are custom, but that is part of doing business as an online prescription eyewear retailer. If you sell glasses online without providing customers a virtual try-on option, there should be a reasonable solution when the frames don't fit. Other optical retailers offer much more customer-friendly guarantees and exchange policies for prescription eyewear.
What disappointed me most was the complete lack of interest in finding a reasonable solution. Their policy places essentially all of the risk on the customer. Once the prescription lenses are made, you can be left paying hundreds of dollars for glasses that don't fit and are unusable.
Had I understood how little protection I would have if the frames didn't fit, I NEVER would have ordered from Designer Optics.
Buyer beware: If you're considering purchasing prescription glasses here, understand that if the frames don't fit when they arrive, you may be stuck with an expensive pair of glasses you cannot wear.
I wish I had taken my $400 elsewhere. I will never purchase from Designer Optics again and cannot recommend them.

Received my Designer Optics order of two pairs of prescription glasses in an unusable state, with poor lenses, and on enquiry with Designer Optics, was advised this was because I had not ordered anti-reflective coating. Designer Optics said to remedy this they'd need to re-do the lenses, but I'd have to pay for the new lenses(original cost for lenses only was about $500)!Had Designer Optics's ordering process warned or prompted me that glasses are unusable without anti-reflective coating, I'd have ordered it. This is such an unhelpful and uncaring ordering process where Designer Optics made money while I'm dissatisfied as hell! I will never ever buy glasses again from them.

Great Smith helmet. Excellent quality bike helmet. It was very good price, arrived as promised
The product was terrific - better than I expected. And the bonus is that DesignerOptics price was 40% less than Amazon's for the same product.
Fast shipping and great price on my Smith Bobcat MTB glasses.
Very very fair prices!! Thanks for saving me $100!!
Very easy to find the frames that I wanted. Placed my order and they arrived in a few days. Great experience!
I really like my frames. I had the exact frame last year and love them so much I ordered them again. Designer Optics is a great place to buy my frames and they were great to deal with. Also a great price. They shipped very fast.
While their prices are less than other online retailers, it took longer than expected to receive the frames. Initially they were to be received 3-5 days after purchase, they arrived 10 days later. The shipping box as well as the frame box were both damaged and someone opened the boxes along the way. Both ends of the shipping box and eyewear box were torn open. The frames are ok, but I will be weary of ordering from them again.

I found my older, hard to find frames here and was able to put my old lenses in them. The price was reasonable and shipping was fast! I am so grateful they had them in stock!
Excellent customer service. They are courteous and listener. I will use DesignerOptics.com to do all my optical purchases
I order a watch from them. I was skeptical at first but then it has been nothing but a positive experience. I first accidentally put the incorrect zipcode in (my fault). I sent them an email and the next day I got a response that it was fixed. I then received an email that my watch was on back ordered for another month after ordering it when it said it was in stock. I emailed them asking what was going on and that this was a birthday present that was this same week.. They explained to me that their supplier didnt have it when they said they did. They asked me how I wanted to proceed. I told them I still wanted the watch. They thanked me for not canceling my order. Then out of no where the next day I had an email saying that it was on the way and I got it 2days later which was fast than I originally anticipated it when I ordered! I dont know where they found one but I'm really grateful!
I will definitely order with them again!.
I ordered some prescription glasses from this company and they were too small. I called to send them back for an exchange in size. All they did was tell me I couldn’t return them and then they tried to sell me a second pair of expensive glasses. A lot can go wrong with prescription glasses. Stick to the big companies that allow you to return or exchange.
