I have been reading some of the negative reviews which prompted me to give a long-term customers honest opinion.
Our company have been working with Designpickle since January 2020. We pay for the full year all at once which if can be afforded will reduce the overall cost.
We have had the same designer for almost 2 yrs that handles most of the workload on our account (Shout out to Caila).
Our company is an eCommerce SMB, predominantly selling online. We have added over 100 new products that required packaging, manuals etc which design pickle has designed most of. Designpickle does most of our social media images and is currently working on our product catalog. So they do a wide range of work for us.
We would have quite a bit of Photoshop and design experience within the company, as we did it all the design ourselves before we looked into getting more assistance. Having some experience and being able to make basic changes would definitely be a help to get the most benefit out of your designer. We started with the basic plan and quickly moved to the Pro plan as we knew we needed a higher level of output then what the basic could provide. You need to be realistic in your expectations if you are going for a basic and even a Pro plan. You can not expect endless requests to be created.
The unrealistic expectations and complaints of some of the negative reviews I read seem to be mostly down the customers themselves.
The designer will only be as good as the brief and the assets that you can provide. It does take quite a bit of time to write a brief so you need to find ways to shorten this for yourself to not waste a lot of time.
Designpickle, also have a decent selection of free images that can be used commercially that really helps with creating content. We spent a lot more on purchasing images from Shutterstock then we do now as we can choose from some of their free assets to add to our own stock of images.
If you are a small, medium, or a team within a larger company who needs lots of images turned around and created then design pickle will be invaluable. Especially, if you are struggling get enough content created you need. It might take your designpickle designer a little bit of time to fully understand what you want exactly and be more in sync with what you or your brand / company want. So bear this in mind. The longer you go on the more seamless the relationship will be.
The designers we have worked with have been great and a pleasure to deal with. We have received fantastic value for money and that is all you can ask for. It has freed up a lot of time within our company for us to do other things.
Our company is and was at the point where we could hire a full time designer and have endless work for them, why did we not do this? Where we are based the cost of hiring someone like this could be as much as 6 -7 times the cost of design pickle for the year. Having a full time designer on site would be the ideal if cost was not an issue, however in terms of value for money having design pickle is a better fit for us at a much lower cost.
100% recommend designpickle.com. Keep up the good work.
Kind Regards

I have a background in graphic design, but find Design Pickle incredibly useful when it comes to outsourcing some of the smaller tasks my business requires! I primarily utilize the designers for Facebook/Instagram ad creative. I love that I'm able to browse the asset library and select specific stock images for the designers to use - it's easier than trying to explain what I'm looking for, and something that a similar company I'd previously used did not have the option for. The designers are also always quick with any revisions, but I don't often need any. There has been a time or two where I needed to update some text, but because I'm always given the .ai or .psd files, I was able to update it myself in seconds for the sake of time. Overall, I'm very happy with Design Pickle!

Nightmare.
I signed up for the $500 a month plan.
I submitted a design for a business card.
Design request: #1190919
Didn't hear from anyone for 3 weeks.
3 weeks later they told me that business cards are "not in the design scope" of the $500 a month plan.
Now they wont give me a refund for the $500.
Dont use this service - Fiverr will do an amazing business card for less than $100 in 48 hours.
We were valued clients for nearly a year, operating within the constraints of a tight budget as a team of disabled students. Regrettably, our experience with the service provider led us to perceive a tactful persuasion towards their premium package, entailing a substantial cost of $30 per graphic. Assurances were made regarding the creation of a webinar series to attract additional customers, with the implied expectation that this initiative would offset our account expenses. However, we later discovered a concerning aspect of their operational model - the employment of personnel from the Philippines at remarkably low wages, while simultaneously charging exorbitant fees for graphic design services in the United States.
Our financial commitment to their services amounted to nearly $3500, driven by the hope for ongoing support and a collaborative partnership. Unfortunately, it became evident that such intentions were not reciprocated. This financial burden weighed heavily on us, as we are a struggling disabled military couple endeavoring to manage a corporate entity to the best of our abilities.
It is with great reluctance that we offer this unfavorable review. While acknowledging the undeniable talent displayed in their graphic designs, it is disheartening to observe the conditions under which they employ and manage their workforce. A recurring pattern of indifference towards their employees' welfare is evidenced by multiple Glassdoor reviews, highlighting the company's propensity to exploit and overwork its personnel.
We firmly believe in the importance of nurturing healthy and ethical business relationships. Regrettably, it is our perception that this organization prioritizes profit above all else. A thorough examination of the market reveals numerous alternatives offering competitive rates that are not as burdensome as the $1,000 monthly fee imposed by Design Pickle. Superior quality graphics can be sourced externally at rates as low as $5 per graphic, or even as little as $3 per graphic on platforms like Fiverr.
In conclusion, while Design Pickle may initially appear cost-effective at approximately $2-3 per graphic, the residual costs are invested in an entity that seemingly disregards the well-being of its workforce. It is advisable for discerning individuals to allocate their resources elsewhere, thereby supporting businesses that uphold ethical standards and prioritize genuine customer satisfaction.

I have tried the Design Pickle Basic Program and PRO here is my intake on my complete experience with this company:
Design Pickle Basic (Now called Essential)
- Very basic design, no logo's nothing "out of the ordinary" is permitted with this package. They charge $499 USD! and they mention you get unlimited revisions and requests however the turn around time is next day or even 2 days so when you make a request and have an edit to make that means now you are waiting until the next business day to get your project completed. A simple business card task can take 3-5 days to be completed. The designers are very basic and the best part is they don't work on weekends, 9-5 government hours only. So I requested a logo design and that falls out of the "ordinary graphic design" and requires a "PRO".
SO I decided to try the PRO which they promise a dedicated designer, real-time chat via slack with your designer (not through email like the essential)
Here's my take, you get a mediocre designer who also works government hours 9-5, you are promised a dedicated designer who now does "professional work" unlimited designs daily and revisions however what they don't tell you is that you are paying for part-time service. The designer works for you and 5-6 other brands at the same time on the same day so when you provide them with multiple tasks they can only allocate a certain amount of time towards you. When you provide them with a "complex" task they come back half way through the day and state they have maximized their bandwidth usage for you and that's it for the day. I gave this company 3 chances and tried them out for almost over 6 months. It is a complete waste of your money find a good designer on upwork or fiverr and keep them.
Here is what I was told by one of the design managers
Just to help elaborate on what the designer said. We have an allocation per client per day. To give you a further idea, 1 complex task can sometimes take up the day's allocation set for each account. This could go from designing a bulky task such as a menu, a corporate branding, a multi-page document to sales report, brochure, catalogue, etc. — the volume of work required for these types of requests will roughly give you an idea of what comprises a single allocation. If let's say what you have on queue is 1 set of social media banner, 1 amend on a one-page flyer that was initially done, a simple GIF request with no more than 3 designs — this could also be accounted for the day's allocation.
As you see, it could go from one request to multiple ones. A day's allocation is NOT based or dependent on up until what time your designer works on your queue is NOT based on the quantity of requests (or # of tickets) completed in a day is exclusively dependent on the volume and complexity of the task assigned and carried out within each shift
Hope this gives clarity in your doubts/worries about bandwidth allocation and daily output.
in short - they are a rip off, they out source everything to either the phillipines or south america and probably pay these designers less than a few dollars a day and rip you off with either $499 USD for their basic garbage plan or $999 USD for their PRO scam plan.
Save your money, save your time, go find a better designer and stay far away from these guys. They bill out monthly and if you try to cancel and ask for a refund they don't do refunds so goodluck. Make sure to cancel ASAP and don't fall for any of their bull***
You have been warned!

Mediocre designs at best, but here is the worst part, they automatically process your card at the end of your billing term. If you don't catch it beforehand, they will refuse to give you a refund. They processed a $2400 payment on my account, when I realized they had me on auto-billing, I called a day later and asked them to refund and cancel the account. They refused, cited some obscure fine-print, and I ultimately had to charge my card back.
Stay away from this company, they outsource designs to South America, you are better off finding a local graphic designer, I learned the hard way.
Turnaround is sometimes longer than expected. But the work is high quality
Thank you Jen for all your do to uplevel my marketing materials.
Great service and quality. The turn around time is solid and the designers are very attentive and willing to work with you. A great experience so far!
The design work is professional and fast. Good quality of work.
I love everyone I have worked with at Design Pickle. They are helpful and very talented people. Have never received a design I haven't loved!
I have LOVED using Design Pickle so far! The platform is super user-friendly. It even has an AI that can recommend sizes for your different projects. My designer is incredible. Everything he does is excellent quality, and any minor edits I give him, he takes care of right away. Very efficient and well worth the money! Other design agencies just don't measure up!
Design Pickle is the greatest service ever! They are extremely fast, receptive, and provide quality work. We are kicking ourselves for not using them sooner!
I loved working with a designer who was intelligent and intuitively knew what message I was trying to get across to my audience!
Very amazing company. I had never heard of them before but I'm so glad that I have now. Their graphic design work is impeccable and I'm so happy that I had the opportunity to sign up. The designers are amazing and you are able to get anything you need designed super fast. The concept is great and the execution matches. I'm super happy with this service.
Very enjoyable experience working with the designers and the deliverables were quickly turned around and well done. Minimal revisions needed, but I can say that it was clear that the designers were invested in ensuring I was satisfied and happy with the end results.
I consider myself fortunate to have discovered Design Pickle. I’ll continue to use DP to help me curate my content.
