Really happy with my experience

Really happy with my experience.
With the order I accidently gave the wrong delivery address. I emailed the cistomer support and they immediately told me that they were sending another one.

It took around 2 weeks before the it arrived, but it makes sense, because it came from Sweden.

Ordered package of 3 cases

Ordered package of 3 cases. In Europe it should arrive within 1-2 weeks but no information about that. Company is olnot answering any e-mails. Seems more like a scam.

It was great

It was great! We loved playing it, had a lot of fun. The game is well balanced, not too hard, but not easy. Took us about 5 hours, all in all.
The only thing is that the whole game is just papers and printed pictures. For the price, I’d expect something more. Maybe recordings, videos, or some box with material for us to analyze.

Cases all posted separately

The actual product was good but I ordered 5 cases (including a Black Friday bundle of 4 cases) at once and they sent it in 5 different packages which made m pay 4x the postage upon arrival!! The total almost doubled upon pickup! I wish I would’ve known this extra cost, definitely wouldn’t have ordered had I known.

More than 1 month and nothing

I ordered on the 26 of october, its now 29 of November and i still havent received my order... its really shamefull.. also they dont reply to my emails... This is starting to feel like a SCAM.
They say they dont provide any package tracking to keep the shipping fees low, but just think about it, they sell 3 cases for 80 euros, soo basicly they sell 3 piles of paper and card for 80 euros.. and still thay dont provide tracking service, the profit they make must be crazy.. and still cant provide a good service.. shamefull

As we informed by sending you, and other affected customers, in the e-mail sent on November 24th, packages sent from the warehouse between October 22 - October 26 were mistakingly misplaced by our courier, leading to heavily delayed orders. We are genuinly sorry about this, and we have been working around the clock to send out replacements free of charge to the customers affected by this. Reaaally nice

Reaaally nice! Something different to do, other than watching various things on TV. I played the second one (Graduation Party) with my husband and we really enjoyed it. They also have links to various videos & hints, trully interesting. Please try :)

Good at Last

I ordered a case and waited for it to arrive for 3 weeks. After reaching out they told me that because of a system error the package was not to be arrived and that they would send me a new one which they did. Fast forward 3 weeks and the package is nowhere to be found. No replies to my emails, no shipment confirmation, nothing. They have completely ignored my countless emails and have provided 0 updates in the span of almost 1 month. Utterly Dissapointing. It's a shame because i was really excited to experience this game and it has completely ruined my experience.

Edit: it arrived today on 12/1: They refunded me my second order ( the one that got re-sent) and after purchasing again it arrived withing 10 days. Would have been 4 stars if the initial experience was avoided. I think what went wrong is how the system stores the addresses. If i were to propose something it would be better handling of international addresses and maybe providing more updates via emails if something goes wrong.

Avoid at all costs

I ordered a case and paid for 2 day delivery with DHL. Its been 3 working days and I have not heard a thing from this company. No replies to my emails, no shipment confirmation, nothing.

Update
The company now claims the shipment was missed. I have emailed them every day since I placed the order, how was all of this missed?
I appreciate the refund, but DHL has confirmed delivery on the 26th of November. You did not even have the decency to actually send it with 2 day delivery. This was supposed to be a present for today, now I'm empty handed.

Loved the experience!!!

We had so much fun solving the case! All of the details were so cool, some misleading and some so relevant!
Loved the addition of the playlist as well.
Took us about 2 hours
Would 10/10 recommend.

(Would have loved to get more cases but damn international customs is expensive)

Your order was sent from us on the 28th of October, so the order should be arriving shortly. PostNord has not received the packaged yet because some packages sent in the beginning of October got stuck in import because of a mistake from our courier in Norway. Seems like your order was one of these, unfortunately, but they have assured us that the packages will be finished with import very shortly.

DO NOT BUY!!

Purchased an item and was given delivery details. The delivery details related to a parcel force tracking number but when I went to parcel force to track it said delivered. I contacted Royal Mail & parcelforce to ask where my item was and they instructed me to contact the sender. I emailed detectiveforaday to ask if they were able to find out where my package went… they gave me an answer that they couldn’t track international parcels and to wait. I emailed them again twice to explain that I have been instructed to contact them by parcelforce and received no reply. I have no item, no refund and no response. I think this company is a scam and I wouldn’t be surprised if the 5 star reviews are fake or paid for.

I have received a response from the company - they have apologised and refunded and offered to send another which is nice. I’m still not convinced that it was originally sent and, in my opinion, if you cannot facilitate international tracking do not offer international postage.

Shoddy useless packaging, very poor customer service.

This was a gift, ordered in plenty of time, coming Royal Mail, so knew it needed good timing. Item delivered 2 September, normal paper envelope, no protection, ripped open, (looks likein transit somewhere) then Royal Mail shoved in letterbox, obviously didn't fit through so screwed up and bent to get through. Paper work inside ripped, so gift ruined. I emailed straight away, took 3days for a reply, oh dear, that shouldn't happen let's look what we can do, was reply. I replied straight away, asked for replacement in decent packaging before my deadline or refund. Again three days for a reply, can replace for you, I again explained it needed to be here for a certain date or a refund please. This is how it keeps going, Customer service is absolutely dreadful. I don't have a replacement, too late now, or a refund, I keep emailing, no answer for last five days. I won't be recommending, or using again, I purchased on good
reviews, wish I hadn't bothered, waste of time and money. Poor very poor.

I see your order has now been refunded (finally!) - I'm sorry Royal Mail ruined the package, normally we don't have any issues with our packaging. Seems like they ripped it open to check the contents for a routine check (they sometimes do that...).

I also checked why customer service needed 3 days to get back to you, and it was because our team had 2 people sick at that time. Normally we answer within 1 day, so we are sorry about that!

Did not even receive order after more than a month

Putting this here in case anyone else makes the same mistake as me.

Ordered on 31st Jul 25, shows It was shipped out on 1st Aug.

One month in, and I haven't received my package and also haven't gotten any reply to the emails I've sent to the Detective for a Day team. Would not recommend

Very disappointed
My boyfriend had bought the Bank Heist game and we were thoroughly enjoying it until we got to part C. Unfortunately there was a URL that you had to use and no matter what we tried it resulted in an error code. This meant we weren't able to access any further information and had to suspend the game.

I went on to the website and tried the "contact us" section and explained what had happened hoping someone would get in touch and provide the missing evidence we weren't able to access. I never received a response. Not great especially when the game costs £43.00.

WAY more fun than you can possibly imagine.

Honestly, I don't do many reviews for things like this, but I felt the need with these games. I haven't done the OG cases (I've heard they aren't as good, but I'm going to order them anyway), but the Cult case, the Bank Heist and the Hollywood Murders are out of control. The time it must take these people to put this together has to be months...with a team. They take out websites, create FB profiles, have phone numbers to hack and check voicemails (I even had a few charges on my phone bill for calls to Norway LOL). Intricate, diabolical. Do yourselves a favour and order these. Have a few drinks and immerse yourselves. $50 doesn't provide 4-6 people with any worthwhile fun in this world anymore. It takes hours and it's SO much fun. Thanks to the developers, A++ on fun and attention to detail.
