This is the worst experience I’ve ever…

This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a letting agency. After months of not receiving any proper communication or legal eviction notice, the agency sent someone with a tenancy agreement just to harass us into leaving. This man broke the front door with a chainsaw, destroyed security cameras, threw rubbish all over the house, and made repeated threats, saying we had "2 days to leave." The police say they can't act because he has a tenancy agreement, but this man was clearly sent by the agency to intimidate us.

We still have a valid agreement with the previous agency, but the new people took over and are using illegal and terrifying tactics to get us out, instead of following proper legal eviction procedures.

We are living in fear in our own home. There is no safety, no support, and no responsibility from the landlord or agency. If you value your security, mental health, and basic human rights — stay far away from these people.

AVOID

I met with an agent from Chesterton's who was great, but unfortunately she was acting on behalf of this company who have been horrendous.

Firstly, they ask for passport, bank statements, pay slips etc by email, even though a third party carries out the referencing checks.

Secondly, our offer to rent stated that a smashed kitchen mirror was to be replaced before we moved in, we've been here a month now and they seem to have no intention of sorting it out, despite me staying home for workers to fix it but then not showing up.

Thirdly, they use an inventory company who mark everything as being in good condition even when you can see damage in pictures, so I basically had to redo the report so they couldn't try and bill me for all the existing damage when I moved out.

Pakistani scammers

It's sad that in UK scammers are doing good for example - I'm renting with Daniel Ford Estates king's cross office wich is a previously alleged
in fraud, money laundering and scam company for sure (everything's chewable in Google). The agent pakistani guy called Sunil Kapadia is fraudster who is absolute animal by behaviour and methods of dealing with tenants. Basically the agents from Daniel Ford send suspicious individuals with fake contracts to the properties to remove the unwanted tenants by them. The suspicious individuals are causing chaos, problems and tries to bully the rightful tenants for cash in hand payments - propper extortion wich is criminal activity. We involved the police and will involve the council and side agencies in order to resolve the abuse of our tenant rights.

Shocking

This company’s management team treats tenants as though basic necessities, such as heating and hot water, are a luxury and a privilege that renters aren’t entitled to. They lie and say they can only fix things during working hours, so that you’re forced to take time off work. However, their inspections team informed me that they have a specific handyman that exclusively does evenings and weekends for them. They will raise your rent if you push them to ensure standard living conditions in your flat. They take advantage of immigrants, banking on the fact that they might not know U.K. living standards. Luckily, I’m from a country where living standards are higher than in the U.K., but the people who took over the tenancy after I moved are less knowledgeable and able to communicate, and are now living in damp and disrepair. Stay away and don’t be fooled by the kind estate agents. They are separate from those who then manage your property.

They don’t even deserve one star

I recently encountered challenges with the estate agency's support for maintenance procedures. Unfortunately, the agents' responses were not only lacking but also lacked the professionalism I expected. On multiple occasions, when seeking assistance, the experience fell short of professional standards. The combination of insufficient support for maintenance issues and a lack of professionalism leaves room for improvement in the overall customer service provided by the agency.

If i could i would give 0 Stars so i wanted to rent a property they accepted my offer but i failed referencing they offered an alternative to pay 3 months upfront including deposit and i agreed i was told 3 months for the next 3 months and when i was about to sign the contract i had read on the contract pay 3 months upfront and deposit the next rent date will be due on or before the 28th of December how dumb is that it doesn’t make sense, i was gonna pay the 3 months upfront for the next 3 months they turned around to me and said the 2 months will be paid for next year October and November 2023 so i declined why tell me for the next 3 months and give me misleading information so i rang them told them to return my holding deposit he said to me that i will only receive some of it back because i didn’t pass referencing! The guy on the phone even said to me ‘ Take me to court’ how unprofessional is that DODGY DODGY company i will be reporting them to trading standards and citizens advice if they do not return me my money by the end of this week!! BE CAREFUL AS THEY WILL TRY TO TRICK YOU! IT IS ILLEGAL TO KEEP SOMEONES HOLDING DEPOSIT UNLESS THEY GAVE MISLEADING INFORMATION AND I WAS UPFRONT WITH EVERY SINGLE INFORMATION I HAD GIVEN THEM.

This agency is not profesional working

This agency is not profesional working, after accepting an offer they ask you to prove your bank statements, after we send all the documents they didn’t pick up the phone for 6 days stopping us to look in this time for another house.
Finally when they answered to the phone, saying that the rent property we was waiting for it is no longer available.
