It is a scam. They tell you they are interested in buying your car and ask for this report. Just forget them.

They waste your time pretending to be a buyer to get you to pay for their bogus report.

It’s a scam some guy named Brian contacted and said he wants to see the report. I got it and it’s a scam. May those people who do these things rot

I - fortunately - did some research on this company and something felt off about it. Whilst selling my vehicle, a gentleman offered to buy the car, but only if he could see a report from this site. When I said "no, I'd rather do a Carfax as it's trusted" he became quite upset.
Don't let people pressure you into buying one of these reports because they're "cheap" or "more detailed" stick with the official sites.

I also got scammed by them. They used the same methods as other victims have outlined

what a joke same spiel, even the site address is a joke.
ca. as in .ca...lol and the wheel... spelled wrong. and then .com... so not even .ca.... hahaha lol

I got a text from Wendy at 801-405-9658 wanting to look at the vehicle I'm selling and asking for a DV report. At first I said yes, then looked up the site and the reviews. Texted back and said no. She sent me the link and told me it was cheap and she trusted it. I said sorry too many scam reports so I won't be doing that. I'll send a Carfax but that's it. Haven't heard back.

SCAM. Contacted me about my car (in Utah) with an 801 number indicating he will come look at it tomorrow (I never gave my address). Requests a vehicle report, but after I sent the CARFAX, indicated this isn't what he asked for and requires one from this website only.

Complete scam as said in previous reviews listed my car wanted me to buy a report unethical sales tactic this company should be reported and closed

A potential buyer of your car asks you to go to this site for your vehicle report
when you tell the buyer you’ve a Carfax report, he’d insist you should get the vehicle report from Digital VIN Automation. He used American number, how the Canadian VIN number will get United state reports for a car. His name Dave and his phone number is +18013965345, he said he will meet me tomorrow at 5 pm even though I didn’t give my address yet.
When you visit digitalvinautomation.com you’ll be required to pay $20 for the report.
After payment, you’ll never receive anything.
Sounds like a petty scam right? I bet you think losing $20 is nothing to be worried about. But then, your credit card is at risk of being hacked. Especially if you paid directly on the site, or didn’t use PayPal.
Just report them to the POLICE as a scammer!

Complete scam site. Takes money for vehicle V.I.N. history but does nothing.

Just had the same exact experience as shared by @Renita Rodgers on July 15. Complete scam.

Didn’t fall for the scam! Was contacted about my car for sale by an out of state number. Says he just relocated to my state. Asked for a digitalvinautomated report. Can meet me tomorrow says his name is Harry Martin! I said I had a carfax report. He said “I didn’t ask for a carfax I want digitalvinautomated report, it’s more detailed!” Got another one named Josh insisting on a vinfactschecker report! Harry literally just texted, “ i need to see a DA report before taking my day off from work and drag a friend along with me” that is copy and pasted from my text. Josh stated “ Im serious enough to drive down there taking a day off my work and dragging a friend with me just to be able to pick up the vehicle without atleast the report,, I just need to see it before i make the arrangements as Im already committed to buy it if its as described”.

SCAM. The report that is provided just scrapes public information and does not include collision details etc. Once I bought the report, the scammer ("Jack") that requested this specific report said the report looked good and set up a time to meet me the next day...then ghosted me. I had to reverse the charge...but obviously the site got my credit card details so now I have to be weary of future fraudulent charges...

I am selling a car and this guy calling himself Dave wants me to get him a report from digitavinautomation.com. His number is 8013965345. He is insisting that I get a report there and not carfax. It is a total scam, do not fall for it. As you can tell all the 5 star reviews are from within and non of them speak proper English, red flag!!!!!

I met buyer Jordan today who insisted that i get the Digitalvinautonomation.com which after review is a hige scam to steal your creit card and peraonal information. Jordans number is 801 341 9822

Exact same experience as the others here. Guy was super insistent that Carfax wasn't good enough.

Same as the other reviews, tried to sell a vehicle on Kijiji, a guy named 'Sam' says he'll take a day off work and get his friend to come but wants the report first. Even though I have the MTO report. Some kind of scam, most likely they take all your personal and credit card info.

A random person (likely affiliated with digitalvinautomation.com) tried to lure me onto this webpage and to buy a "report". Just because I've posted a kijiji ad to sell my car.

Scam!!
Please believe all the reviews that call this website a scam. Buyer Jordan will message you when you put up and ad and refer you to this website. Do not put your credit card info in and avoid giving any info to these people
