For transparency, our activation records confirm that this Windows OEM key was successfully activated on December 22, 2024. At the time of activation, Microsoft’s servers generated a digital hardware ID based on the system’s motherboard, firmware identifiers, TPM data, and related hardware components. The license was then permanently associated with that specific hardware configuration.

An OEM license is valid for one PC and one motherboard only. Once activation is completed, the license becomes linked to that hardware identity under Microsoft’s licensing system.

If activation is later attempted under a different hardware identity — for example due to motherboard replacement or certain firmware-level changes — Microsoft may treat the system as a new device. In such cases, activation will not be approved because the license is already associated with the original hardware ID.

For clarity:

• Windows updates alone do not normally affect OEM activation
• BIOS or firmware-level changes can alter hardware identification
• OEM licenses are permanently hardware-bound
• One OEM key corresponds to one hardware identity
• Activation validation is fully controlled by Microsoft’s servers

Because OEM licenses are permanently linked to the original hardware, users who expect to make hardware-level changes, reinstall Windows frequently, or transfer Windows between systems may find Retail licenses more suitable, as Retail licenses are designed to allow transfer to a new device under Microsoft’s licensing terms.

The key provided was valid and successfully activated in accordance with Microsoft’s licensing rules at the time of use.

We act in good faith toward our customers. Unfortunately, this request was not made in good faith.

The customer activated and used the original Windows key. Later, they attempted to use the same key again after installing new hardware (a new GPU).

Under Microsoft’s activation system, significant hardware changes — including GPU changes in a new build — can cause Windows to detect the system as a new computer. When that happens, a new license is required. This is a Microsoft rule and is outside any seller’s control.

The customer then requested a second key for a newly detected system at no cost, which is not possible. Each Windows license is valid for one PC only (1 key = 1 PC) and cannot be reused on another system.

When informed of this, the customer responded by threatening negative reviews and public posts rather than accepting the licensing terms.

Attempting to obtain an additional license without purchasing one is not a valid support request.

The product provided was valid, delivered, activated, and fulfilled as described. No refund or replacement is possible for a used digital license.
