The company is employing racists

The company is employing racists. Absolutely disgraceful. Ive seen the employee commenting incredibly racists posts online. Have screenshots as a proof Seth Coman's hate comments.

Outstanding Customer Support

I've been using Directnic for at least a dozen years without any problems. I recently needed some help getting a personalized email address working with a new email service, and Jeff of Directnic got me up and running in minutes! Outstanding service.

They have a server being blocked by…

They have a server being blocked by yahoo and microsoft, one employee told me it was a problem with my email and then another tech person told me its the whole server and all the users, they are not honest about the issue, my entire office cannot email anyone with a microsoft or yahoo email adress, and they will not even be honest with the users who are affected by this. Very poor business practices by this company. I am a long time user of several services with Directnic.com and they have completely let me down.

Worst Domain Registration Company

Worst Domain Registration Company. They have mind blowing domain renewal prices. Living in stone age, cant accept transfer out of domain. So if your domain gets stuck with them after expiry you can expect lot of BS from the support service. They even threat you to cancel out the domain transfer if you insist them to approve transfer out of domain after 7 days. Stay million miles away from this 3rd class company.

Very poor communication, zero trust.

I was locked out of my account, and they ignored my request for help via E-Mail. They advertise that they will reply 24-48 hours later. I sent a follow up E-Mail seven days later and they replied saying that my E-Mail was unsolicited, and that to get help, I had to log onto my account and file a ticket from there - even though the original problem was being locked out of my account.

I finally called them on the phone, and the operator was unhelpful, arrogant and rude, just like others have said.

Customer service is king in the glut of online services, and they don't have any.

Michael helped me

I called in 3 times today for help with my hosting. The first 2 representatives blew me off. The 3rd one (Michael) was very helpful.

Terrible Support experience

I used Directnic for buying 2 .com domains, but when I contacted their support for canceling one domain they were just too rude.

So, 1 star for support experience.

This company has a good interface but…

This company has a good interface but when you really need assistance forget it!! The help desk members are arrogant with no room for reason. They lack a global view on what service looks like.

Vernon Decossas, I believe you are the CEO. I need some simple assistance, nothing more than the legacy support I have received over the last 15/16 years of being a customer.

I am reaching out for assistance,

Refusing to remove my data even though its a legal requirement

I had an account with them for a domain that I didn't renew. The account was locked due to inactivity and when I asked for my personal data to be deleted as per GDPR: The Right of Access (Article 15, Recitals 63 & 64), the agent told me that doesn't apply to them because they are a US company. It does apply to them, they are processing a European citizens data. I will be reporting their activity to my local GDPR officer as I have requested my data to be deleted and the request has been (quite rudely mind you) denied.

Edit:
I got a request from Directnic.com to share aditional private information to "help them respond to my review". I left the review 4 years ago so only requesting this now is strange. I have no interest in handing over ANY personal information to a company that outright refused to delete my personal data in accordance with GDPR

Hi, Daire! Happy to help. We just gained access to our TrustPilot account this week. We want to clarify our stance on GDPR.

Directnic does comply with GDPR. However, as an ICANN-accredited domain registrar, we are also legally required to retain certain account and transaction data for a defined period, currently up to two years after a domain expires or an account becomes inactive. GDPR explicitly allows data retention where there is a legal or contractual obligation.

Data that is no longer subject to retention requirements is deleted in accordance with GDPR.

We understand your concern about sharing information years later. The only reason we asked for account details was to correctly identify the account and ensure any eligible data is removed. Without that, we have no way to act on the request.

If you would still like us to review and complete any applicable data deletion, you’re welcome to contact our support team directly. We’re happy to help.
