7-Year Customer No More!!
I have been a customer for SEVEN years. Paid my bill in full, on time every month, all 7 years. Installer put my dish post in the ground with no concrete so of course it corroded and fell over eventually. That was at least late April. I repeatedly tried to get an appointment scheduled for them to fix it, to no avail. I called today to get a credit for the months of no service and to cancel my account. Nope. They won’t credit my account and can “schedule me for a future disconnection.” That’s what you get for seven years of loyalty as a customer to Dish Network - to have half your Sunday wasted arguing with customer service and to ultimately have your credit damaged by the company that didn’t keep up THEIR end of the contract, not the other way around. Another day, another dollar.

I have had dish for 2 years now and am strongly disappointed with dish. They have played the same old movies now for 2 years. They just keep rearranging them on different networks. They do this to encourage the subscribers to buy on demand movies. I will canceling dish in a day or two. What a scam they have going! Unordered charges keep showing up on my bill and they say they can't do anything about it. $74.99 for some wrestling event. We never watch wrestling or even know where those channels are. They won't take the charge off and the agent on online chat just basically blew me off.

In general I like DISH. That said, DO NOT invest in an external hard drive to store movies or shows you want to keep. I had about 80 movies stored when, what I assume was a DISH software update caused my hard drive to stop being recognized by the hopper. DISH techs were no help. After jumping through numerous hoops with no success, they sent out a new hopper, which also couldn't see the the hard drive. I tried everything to try and restore it, to no avail. I ended up having to reformat the hard drive, which of course means all of my movies were deleted. Bad, bad, bad ...
Bad customer servive.
Bought their sound system after being assured that it was guaranteed. One of the speakers started cutting in and out after 1 week. Contacted Dish and was told I had to box it up and send it back at me expense. Then the other speaker started doing it. recontacted Dish, more run around. Long story , short, they are sendinf a tech out, after telling me this was against policy. They wanted me to box the system and leave on the front porch for pick up by UPS. Told them it would cost them for my time and effort and i would not be resonsible if porch pirates stole it. They decided that sending a tech was cheaper. Will never do buisiness with the Dirt Network agin.
Worst company ever
I have been a loyal dish customer for three years. I have been able to shut my account down and restart it and pay whatever it is that I used towards my next billing cycle. Now they’re telling me that it’s pay as you go when the last gentleman I talk to back in February or January told me that all I had to do was call back in and that they would restart my account again with whatever I have left for that monthly cycle. Now they’re telling me I can’t do it so I have to pay the full month in advance that they shut it down last year which is false because I did it last year. I did it this year in January. This is one of the biggest ripoff I have ever seen. If you’re an old person like me that likes to do a little traveling and likes to have the dish set up while you’re traveling but don’t use it all the time. Then they’re going to abuse you and steal your money like they did for me. I’d give them a half a star if I could and not even that I had one lady on the line that was going to help me, but everyone else wasn’t willing to help me with my problem . One of the worst companies I’ve had to deal with in a long time besides AT&T

Had an appointment Tuesday. They were supposed to come between 12-5. No one showed up. Called customer service and they couldn't give me a reason why no one showed up. Rescheduled for Friday which is ridiculous to wait a week for some one to get here.
I definitely wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Customer service does Not exist!! First they couldn't find our account. Then they charged to have a change $53. Then after charging us said they had no time available. We had to speak to a supervisor after we already paid for service and we're finally given the next Thursday (we called M9nday).

Bait & Switch! I was paying $97 a month to Dish Network for about a year and a half. Last month the Bill went to $107. I then got an email from them offering a two year price lock. I signed up. The following month, I got a bill for $139! I was online for 30 minutes, then told to call, and the rep said, “we didn’t say the price would be. It will now be $122”.

And they don't have a lot of variety certainly not quality programming to justify what they charge. They just plain suck. Stay away.

Dish has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. My box, rented from them keeps having issues, and I was told that if I wanted a technician to check out my box, it would cost me $95/hr. I rent the box from them?!?! Why should it cost me for their equipment?? Dish, you are not for your customers, you are about $$$$in your pocket. Super disappointed to say the very least.

Do not get Dish! We were with them for over 20 years and they started raising our rates by over $30 per month. The wait times for customer service are 1 hour or more! Their packages are horrible. You can get much more through YouTube tv, Fubo, anything but Dish. Now we get to take the UGLY dish off our house too. Their customer service reps are HORRIBLE too. They will not honor what another rep said. Plus, you can’t understand them. Awful experience. We have so many more channels now for a fraction of the price.

Dish sucks
The most recent version of dish anywhere (their mobile app) is horrible. It crashes constantly and just does not work. It takes about ten minutes just to change a channel or to load. They will not let you cancel their terrible overpriced service and try to force you to call them on the phone. DO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. NEVER EVER. My bill was over $200.00 a month!! They are charging me over $50 a month just for equipment. Get a streaming service instead (Fubo, Hulu live etc.). No equipment needed.
dISH IS ALSO CHARGING ME TO RETURN THEIOR OWN EQUIPMENT. THEY ARE A JOKE. They are requiring me to climb up on the roof and take apart their own stupid dish. I have to send them back the LNBF and Node, or they will charge me even more money. So if you are elderly or infirm, you can never cancel dish. Aholes
