We had been relatively happy Dish customers for over 10 years. Endured an ESPN block out and then more recently local channel block outs. I finally had had enough and despite having the same equipment... See more

Same thing never received 500.00 gift…
Same thing never received 500.00 gift card now stuck in 2 year contract. Said I didn’t do any of the steps to receive the card. I wasn’t told to do any of it. It was a lie. I think we need to band together and get an attorney and sue DISH! In these hard times the only reason I took dish was for the 500.00. And now if I cancel them it ruins me. Sick of being lied to.
Nearly 10 years!
Have been a customer for over 9 years.Had auto pay so never late. Call today when my bill jumped. Said I had a deal at set cost. They said no price was going up. I asked for a discount to sign an extended contract. Said $7 discount for three whole months and didn’t give discounts for paying on time or loyalty! Wow! And if I wanted to terminate it would cost $20 dollars cause I did not fulfill my obligation?!! Oh and have a great rest of your day! May dish network get what they deserve! Please try an antenna or steaming service. I am!!!!

Want to cancel service
Want to cancel service. Dish won't allow us to return the equipment locally... must wait 10 business days. We are LEAVING the house in 5 days. Said they will charge up to $350 for a box they say was delivered, but wasn't. Please listen to their customers... DON'T buy their "service". You will regret it.
I got some really nice offers today
I got some really nice offers today, Paramount plus Showtime for free 2 months and AMC plus free for 3 months. Well I loaded them Paramount worked fine but not AMC. I made the mistake of calling, rep removed both of them and then added a paid subscription. I called again of course they can't add them back. They will add the paid and give me a credit. I am nervous because I can't see credit until billing she said. Well I declined it and now I didn't get to enjoy my offers. They need to hire people that can be trained
Customer service and promise of a gift…
Customer service and promise of a gift card that was never received. In their promo, Dish promised a $300 gift card and it was never received despite numerous follow-up calls. Basically was told we would get it but never rec’d. Was going to keep Dish for a year and then cancel. Direct is so much better for us! We went to Direct early and canceled Dish, which cost me $300. Guess the joke was on me. Will never go back to Dish.
Dish said they updated the home screen
Dish said they updated the home screen, bs it went back in time it almost useless!!!!

I was a 19 year customer who got ripped off.
I was a 19 year customer. I got a call from them saying my box would be obsolete and they have to install a new one. Of course I agree to this and then they snuck in a new two year service agreement which I had not agreed to. I made a bunch of calls and was told by four different people that this would be waived. so when it came to me waving it, they said they couldn’t do it. One guy even told me there would be no reason for them to call me as if I called to get a new box and it wasn’t them. They called me. I protested this and this is been ongoing for six weeks. The FCC has contacted them twice and they’re supposed to contact me but they have not either through email or letter or phone.
This used to be a good company, but now they are very deceptive and all they wanna do is take money out of your pocket. I also protested through the Better Business Bureau as well. I can only hope people read these reviews before looking into satellite companies and forget about Dish Net. They will not take care of you in anyway
After repeated contacts to them through the FCC, they finally agreed to waive the early termination fee although they made it seem like they were doing me a favor. The truth is, they lied about this and they are a disreputable company.
We had the new dish hopper installed a…
We had the new dish hopper installed a few month back three tv’s the only knock I have is the remote control is so smooth it slides off my L.R. Sofa etc. it should had a silicone backing to it so I called well of course got nowhere the rep. Was wanting to send us a new remote at cost he couldn’t understand what I was telling him so I told I found the exact fit hopper 54.0 silicone slip on cover on eBay 3 for $17.xx maybe they’ll check them out and start adding them with there package…???Na. Thanks for viewing. Rick n Ky.
I had the old system for 12yrs no…
I had the old system for 12yrs no problem-I got call from dish on a promotion they were pushing(The Hopper system)They told me my system is going to be obsolete shortly and they would install Hopper for the same price as I was paying for the old system and I would have the same service for the same price-Well I agreed,so they sent a privet contractor to my house and he installed the new system-What a joke I ended up with 3 tv’s 2 that worked independently and the 3rd. worked 2 tv’s with the same channels-I called and they said I could get the 3rd. Tv to work independendent like the other 2,but I would have to add another Joey for $7.99 a month(bullcrap) I have had nothing but trouble with this Hopper system. I called because 2 of my TV’s were not working and they said I would have to pay $100.00 to have a tech come and fix it-their equipment shouldn’t they maintain it? I had tech come out and he said the privet contractor screwed everything up and he would fix it-he did fix all 3 tv’s but he left my wall down in a room he had to remove to run a new cable and also left one of his tools in the same room. When he left I had no caller ID -so I called Dish to tell them I had no caller ID that I had before he showed up-they said they would send him back for another $100.00 to fix it- I said what are you crazy!! I guess I will go without caller ID - I can’t wait until my contract is up-this is only a couple examples that I have endured in the 6 months that I have had the wonderful HOPPER system-Don’t get it!!!
Over charges, hard to cancel
Had sever problems with dish network over the years. When I finally decided to cancel the agent told me my balance would be between $10-$20 for the prorated balance. Then I receive a bill for $140! I called and they told me they can’t do anything for their agent giving me wrong information. Their service is okay at best but beware they will change you like crazy, and make it almost impossible to get rid of them
$500 gift card promotion from switching…
$500 gift card promotion from switching from DirectTV to Dish. I submitted needed paperwork as directed and in time allotted. Website said “Thank you for submitting request! Please check back to monitor your gift card’s status.” No gift card after 8 weeks. Called customer service. Said it could take 12 weeks. Called customer service again. You didn’t upload document and you didn’t make 90 day window. Yes, I did. Give your manager. He will tell you the same thing. Manager: everything looks good on your gift card, but not sure why you haven’t received it. Called again. You didn’t upload documents, you didn’t make the 90 day window, you don’t have autopay. Yes, yes, & yes! They just kept making up lies about what I did or didn’t do. FALSE ADVERTISING…they never intended to give that gift card and customer service was so rude!!! Don’t sign up for DIsh Network!!!

Pay for over 200 stations. Watch 7or8…pay for yes channel. Yankees never on Yankees channel. Way over priced for what u get. Never again. Why can,t I pay for channels I watch. Tired of paying for hundreds of channels nobody watches. Thanks for throwing them in tho
DISH doesn't read these reviews, but here's my new one, anyway
DISH doesn't read these reviews, but, once again, I am being significantly overcharged, and not being given the package I wanted. Once again, I will have to send a certified, return receipt letter to the CEO. In addition, when I call, it is far too difficult and time-consuming to reach a human. I have two accounts (in two states), with the same phone numbers, and don't have my account number written down, but keep being asked for my phone number or account number, over and over and over and over again. There is no option to say "I don't know" or hit a button for customer service. I am currently paying $30 a month more than my other account, and receiving things I don't want, and not receiving what I DO want.
DISH Network in two words - BIG MISTAKE!
The first red flag was at the time of installation - with the installation window to be between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. The installer showed up at 7 p.m. Pretty much a wasted afternoon and very late dinner. From the get-go, our Wally kept switching from the news channel we were watching to the Cartoon Network, several times during the day. It took three tech calls to get that to stop, and each time they'd end the call with "everything should be good," not so. We have experienced several outages (with nothing obscuring the dish) and inopportune Wally updates. The packages are a joke. I only watched four channels out of the 120 total and they pack a lot of PPV's, shopping channels and other useless garbage. After our two year contract was up, our bill went up drastically and there is no negotiating to bring it down even a dollar. Ending service has been an even bigger headache. Suddenly, after thanking me for being a 'valued customer', "Negm" from customer service wants to offer free Netflix for 2 years, 20 certificates for free movie rentals and will match for two years the competitor's price (I'd already switched to another provider with no contract strings attached.) I was placed on hold at least twice, with each time as he tried to sweeten the deal. I know I wasn't rude, in fact, I was thanking him for his kindness each time, but as I told him, I just wanted to be disconnected the last day of my billing period. Instead, the last time I was on hold, I'm sitting across from my television and suddenly get a message on screen saying that I am no longer subscribed. Negm gets back on and pretends that he can't hear me and eventually hangs up. This required a second call from me to figure out what I'm supposed to do with the equipment. The friendly customer service person tells me I will receive a shipment box and label within 5-10 business days and tells me I can just leave the dish on my home. (A little free advertising never hurts them, right?) She neglected to inform me that I would be charged $20 for the box and label they are sending. Days later, I received a closing bill via email to share this little tidbit. Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for this box and label and continue to receive emails that are offering me to restart my service with threatening undertones that if I don't restart, I'd better not try to sell their equipment - as if I would try to swindle some poor sucker into falling into their trap. In hindsight, and in advice to others, I discontinued "auto-pay" before I made my initial phone call for disconnection. This was the only smart thing I've done since signing on to DISH.
I been with dish for roughly 10 years
I been with dish for roughly 10 years. My recent issue i had with them is that my satellite signal was going in and out all month and went out completely this on the 14th of this month. Called dish told them i wanted to cancel.
-they didnt want NO for an answer
-technician would be there on the 27th of september.
-Put you in commitment for years
Called them on today (9/18/2024) guys was extremely rude ask to speak to someone above him. She was no better. My thing is you shouldn't fought someone on wanting to save money and get more bang for the buck. And it not with them. They want me to pay a termination fee. Due to a commitment and repairs are not repaired. That's not right at all. So if you get to reading this my advice to you is TO FIND ANOTHER SERVICE TO GIVE YOUR MONEY TO BECAUSE YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED.
Do Not Trust The Company’s Word
I recently closed my account with dish and needed to send back all equipment. I was sent 1 box for 7 Joey’s, remotes, and hopper. The rep( Patrick was extremely rude and told me get others boxes yourself because dish wasn’t sending anyone. I was told the fee would be waived, he stated it wouldn’t be. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone.
On the phone again…
I’ve been with Dish tv, on and off for years, but tonight, I’m done (after my contract is up, because I can’t afford the cancelation fee). Two of my 3 tvs don’t have a picture. Called tech support, got a lady that I couldn’t understand, which made her grouchy when I kept asking her to repeat.
Long story short, said tech has to come out, app’t in 3 days. Said if I don’t have tech service, it’ll be $95! 9which I didn’t have). Said she could add it for $11.99 A MONTH.
So sick of dealing with businesses, on the phone for hours. I’m switching back to a previous company (Comcast), who people say, isn’t much better.
With prices rising so much, WHEN are these companies going to develop a discount rate for seniors/low income?!!
Had Dish Network for years but the…
Had Dish Network for years but the price tag wasn’t worth it. Got lied to by the rep stating I’d get to keep my favorite channel at a lower cost. He lied.
Company would not stand behind this. Most streamers offer the same programming without an over priced contract. This was worse than getting out of a gym membership.
