I recently visited the DJI store for a pocket 3 and while the equipment itself is absolutely top-notch and the staff are fantastic — knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful — the overall experience was seriously let down by the store environment.
The store was freezing cold, with both doors fully open the entire time. It was extremely uncomfortable and honestly unpleasant to stay inside for more than a few minutes. I genuinely felt sorry for the security guard having to stand there in those conditions. It’s not fair on staff or customers.
It’s a real shame because the products and team are excellent, but the store needs proper heating and better management of the entrance. Until that’s addressed, it really impacts the overall experience.

Freezing cold shop!
Staff are wonderful, service is always on point, however my only gripe is how freezing cold the shop is. Everyone looks cold! Why is there no heating? I really feel for the staff.

Good kit, needs some brackets.
This is a good bit of kit as I have my camera fixed to my motorcycle helmet, and this lets me start/stop recording with a visible display, that said I wish there was a hard bracket I could fit to my handlebars.

Went into the Birmingham shop on two occasions recently purchasing a DJI Pocket 3 and OM 8 Gimbal along with accessories both times served by a wonderful member of staff named Ying who very had a great personality very knowledgeable and patient whilst I decided what I wanted. Definitely will return when I saved up some more pennies a must get yourselves down there

I bought my DJI Neo drone last year, and like many boys’ toys, it sat unopened on my desk for months. Partly because most of the holiday destinations we visit don’t allow drones, but mainly because I found the setup instructions a bit daunting.
Then one day, walking down Corporation Street, I spotted a store I didn’t immediately recognise as a drone specialist — but I’m so glad I walked in. I was greeted by Han, who instantly made me feel at ease. He introduced me to the same model I owned and took the time to give me hands-on training.
Han was absolutely fantastic — patient, knowledgeable, and diplomatic — treating my lack of understanding with real care and encouragement. I left the store not just confident but genuinely excited to finally take my DJI Neo out for a proper flight.
Thank you, Han, for your time, professionalism, and passion. You turned a boxed gadget into a hobby I can’t wait to explore!

Perfect… almost

There is no way of getting direct email to support/customer service/ to ask generic questions/legals/regulations (that is not a live chat or telephone….) call me old school. But there is still a place for emails… h I had to google this one…

Friendly Staff, Annoying Policies
I really enjoy DJI’s products and find them extremely useful for filmmaking. I’ve recently shot two short films using a Mini 3 and Osmo 6 gimbal; however, the in-store experience is quite a letdown.
First of all, it’s difficult for me to even get in the store. My local Birmingham store has a restriction, disallowing anyone under the age of 18 to enter without an adult, and considering I do all my shopping without an adult, it really doesn’t help. I completely understand it’s for theft prevention, and I also understand stopping school kids who look like they’re going to cause trouble, but when you have full reason to be there to purchase something, it’s extremely annoying. A few weeks ago, I tried to enter with a friend, both of us being 17, because we had just come from a shoot and I wanted to upgrade my gimbal to the new Osmo 7. Despite telling the security guard I was there for a purchase and had the product with me to show him, I was unable to gain entry.
Apart from the difficulty to get in, the in-store experience is pretty good. The staff are friendly and happy to help, and the store is generally organised. Unfortunately, however, most of the display products are dead and are rarely charged, so interacting with them to see how they function is quite challenging.
I hope the experience improves over the coming months and maybe just have a maximum capacity policy to prevent large groups from entering. Considering all products are locked and tied down, and that there’s a security officer at the door with a barrier in place, I don’t think the current rule is as much needed.
