I cannot thank DLG Barnsley enough for the service I’ve received throughout what has been a long and stressful process following my accident.
From start to finish, they have been professional, proactive, and genuinely supportive. A special mention has to go to Matt and Tom Garbett – both have been absolutely fantastic. They kept me updated, pushed things forward when needed, and really took the stress out of the situation.
All of the girls in the office were also incredibly kind, helpful, and always happy to assist whenever I called. It really makes a difference when you feel looked after.
They did everything they could to get my car sorted as quickly as possible and made a difficult situation much easier to deal with.
I’m very happy with the service and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Please give them all a raise! 😊

In my past I ve dealt with many dodgy garages but this place beats them by a mile . They are a bunch of incompetent crooks. I had to take my car 3 times (took them a month and half)to fix wat was supposed to be a minor job. And they did such a great job that after 3 months marks started to appear. I realised that they are a bunch of thieves when I asked the price of repairs and job done.(I found in the end from my insurance over 4200£) also instead to replace the damaged wheel they decided to repair it because make sense why replace something that cost 100£ when you can do a bad job and charge thousands ,to be honest I still have the warranty but dealing with this horrible people is not worth it.
Not to forget first time when I took it back they forgot some materials stuck to the wheel that was overheating witch could lead to a fire if I wouldn't discovered in time. Second time I hade to drive for a week with defective brakes causes they said is safe to drive.
So one star is to much for this place but I can not give 0. If you want to deal with crooks incompetents thieves this is the place also they lost some minor parts that i had to buy caps mold sealant

A brilliant service from start to finish. My car was picked up and a courtesy car delivered (this was immaculately clean). I was kept informed of how the repairs to my car were progressing. All the staff I had contact with were very friendly, polite and professional. I am hard of hearing and the young lady on the phone was very patient. My car was returned, repaired to an excellent standard &valeted inside & out. Could not have wished for anything better.

My car was repaired quickly and efficiently and when the car was returned it was so well valeted it looked like a new one. Well done DLG superb service.

very efficient at booking in and collection times, but work standards leave a lot to be desired, on the rear door they had tried to buff the scratches out of the paint but there are still two marks that have not come out and are quite plain to see, when we collected the car the dust inside was so deep you could write your name in it, drivers door must have been opened while raining leaving the dust to turn sludgey then drying have washed the door card twice and it still hasnt come of . a big company like DLG should not return cars in this condition

My experience was fine up until the issue with a headlight DRL was shared with me as the car was on the flatbed waiting to be returned.
I was asked if I would be happy to take the car back with a " minor" issue with the DRL which they assured me could be fixed within an hour on my driveway. As I needed my own vehicle back I agreed. A week.or so later the electronic repair guy arrived and within 30 mins announced that the car would need to return to Barnsley as " the front of the car needs to come off to replace a light module". The car eventually went back on the 8th September under the assurance it would be back in time for its MOT on the 12th. During the week ALL COMMS had to be initiated by myself, and I was yet again assured it would be returned in time for my MOT booking. Long story short it wasn't and so , the following week ( Wednesday) DLG took my car to their " regular " garage which promptly failed the car...I was advised by my phone app it had failed....yet they did not pass on this information to me until I called them on Thursday evening. I asked for a quote from the garage to carry out the required repair work , but by Fiday evening I had heard nothing. Monday I called and was told the work couldn't be done until the next Friday....so I asked the now MOT'less car to be returned and had it done locally by Thursday the 25th. For 2 days I had no transport as they took the loan car back. 15 days to fix a light? Extremely poor communication . A local repair shop would have been a far better option . Churchill insurance. Take note.
EDIT: As expected i got the stock ut and paste resonse from DLG and just to add a cherry on top my renewal from Churchill now states if I prefer to go to a local repair centre in future I will have to pay an ADDITIONAL £250 EXCESS. Looks like I'll be looking for a new insurer then as I'm not going through this circus again. By the way, my car now makes an annoying whistle sound from the front pillar of the repair....left a lovely gap in the panel fit. Thanks

This is the 2nd time in a few months that our insurer has advised to use DLG & they couldn't be more informative from start to finish about every detail they were undertaking in respect of our car repairs.

When it was time for them to pick the
car up & bring ours back, both the man
& woman were really personable, friendly & kind, could have talked to
them all day! The car came back like brand spanking new, it's never looked as good.
If there's a teeny tiny bit of feedback it
would just be that it would have been good if the courtesy cars are brought
filled up as that would have made it
easier to ensure the right amount of fuel was replaced, as when I came to try to guess the right amount back I ended
up paying more, but honestly that was
the only thing.
If Heineken made car repair shops this
would be it...... 😘

My experience with these guys from the Barnsley branch was not a pleasant one. After I told them and informed in an official way of the issues of my car, they collected my car on Friday and next Monday I got a phone call from a chap called B*****y telling me that my car would be ready soon as only the bumper was to be changed. I tried to explain to him again that that is not so, my car was damaged beyond just the bumper and I have sent them the evidence and extra comments. The chap was clueless, he never even reviewed the evidence judging by the conversation we had back and for. He ended up treating me as a liar and invited me to see the car and talk to them on their site.Conveniently, B*****y was not there to speak to him face to face when I went. At my expense of time and money I went there and showed one of their engineers there was more damage than they were telling me there is. This other chap was a gentleman. They fixed the car according to the extent of the damage apart from one bit. One of my rear shock absorbers started squicking badly after the accident and they did not fix that despite telling them this was not there before just all the other issues they though were not and proved to be that were from the accident. Anyway. I eventutally called them back for the 10th 12th time to tell them the car is still not fixed properly and said they will book me in for another look with one of their garages to determine if this was caused by the accident or not. This never happened and I still live with the annoyed squicky suspension to this. They were unprofessional, time wasters and did not do the job fully. All this at my expense people... I've not gone into any details, that is where the thrill is. But I dont want to waste more time with this company. They don't deserve their good ratings judging by my experience with them.
