Seriously Bad

Seriously! The worst internet provider I’ve used. Yes they are cheaper, but their service is terrible. Stick with who you’re using. It can’t be worse than Dodo.

Been a loyal, long-term Dodo customer

Would give no stars. I have been a loyal Dodo customer re mobile and the internet since 2014. And electricity since 2021. In 2021, I was told by Dodo that if I bundled electricity and nbn I would get $10 per month discount. I have looked at my invoices, the discount never applied - Dodo argued they did & I only get $5 because I didn't bundle gas, but I don't have gas & they never stated such. I'm disputing through Ombudsman. Dodo says check portal but no energy is available on the portal - just 'coming soon'. Furthermore, I just swapped mobile where for my plan Dodo charged me $31 pm - TPG same plan $12.50. I am also decided to leave Dodo re electricity go elsewhere, & at the end of 2027 when the new modem paid, go elsewhere for my internet. During the time I was a Dodo customer, I have had to involve the Ombudsman several times & only then does Dodo comply. After more than a decade of being with Dodo, one would think they would treat loyalty better. When on phone to them, I have mixed responses - some good, others terrible depending on the person &/or department. The other issue is when you do have a problem, Dodo requests the customer to call Dodo, but in my case, I require written evidence, not glossed up information that doesn't make sense. There were times, I would have rated Dodo very highly, but moving forward, they have lost me forever as a customer - I just have to wait until I have paid off the modem and also had I known I could have gone to another company re nbn & signed up to receive free modem. The old modem was Dodo only 3 years old still working but patchy internet so Dodo said that it was old technology, & I needed to upgrade that was why the internet was patchy - the new modem - internet still patchy & they increased the cost of internet plus I have to pay back the new modem that isn't much better service than my old one. BS. So, basically what terms, promises, discounts they offerred are either untrue or misleading.

Extinct? Please!!

Totally unacceptable wait times for chat or phone assistance and when a response is received invariably unhelpful.
Tried numerous times to get some solutions to my email service being shut down but nothing constructive or useful provided.
Dodo sets a new low in competence and customer service.
Should have gone out of existence long ago

I am extremely disappointed with Dodo’s…

I am extremely disappointed with Dodo’s customer service and billing process.

First, I had to wait 30 minutes on hold just to ask one simple question. When I requested to change ownership of the account, it took almost one month to process. Even after I informed them that I was no longer staying at the property, I was still charged for other people’s usage.

Initially, a payment was cancelled due to insufficient funds. Later, when my account had enough balance, Dodo automatically deducted the money.

The following week, they deducted additional charges for the modem without clearly informing me in advance. Because of this unexpected charge, my account balance became insufficient again. I had to call and wait another 30 minutes on hold. Only then did they explain the modem charge.

I clearly asked if that would be the last deduction from my account. The staff confirmed yes. I transferred money again and assumed it would be automatically deducted.

However, the next week, a Dodo staff member called me and spoke very rudely, accusing me of not paying. I was shocked because I had already made the payment.

This whole situation has wasted a lot of my time and energy. The communication is unclear, the billing is inconsistent, and the customer service attitude is unacceptable.

I would not recommend Dodo based on my experience.

Dodo ,slow as…

Just a waste of time dealing with dodo, I already have a dodo new modem it's already set up but it's been five days and i still got no internet, dodo are completely useless.
I wouldn't recommend dodo to anyone if you're looking to get your internet hooked up quickly stay away from Dodo.

If I could give no stars I would

If I could give no stars I would! DO NOT sign up to any internet services with them. I took out an internet wireless plan and received a notification it was ready to go and connected. It never ever worked so I phoned customer service for 10 hrs several times a day and not once did anyone answer! Haven’t been able to cancel the service as you have to phone them to do it but they never answer but they will still take the subscription out of your bank. What on earth! Worst company in the world!

Worst Internet service provider ever…

Worst Internet service provider ever first of all sold me a 50 MBPS plan but we’re only ever able to deliver 25 MBPS. Got a Refund for the period of six months I had been overpaying. Then my service dropped out and I had no Internet. They said it was an NBN issue and I requested to cancel on that day (only two days into my billing cycle and for a refund for the month). Refund was confirmed and service cancelled on top of my original refund for overpaying for six months. Got a call from the customer service representative who had already confirmed the refund saying that I would only get the initial refund as he didn’t understand my case. He was rude it is the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Dodo had no solution to my issues ever.

Dodo has disappointed me in all their…

Dodo has disappointed me in all their areas. I had energy, nbn and mobile with them. I haven't received one electricity bill, and have no visibility on my online account for any of my services. I've been on the phone to them for countless hours asking for this to be resolved. And they have taken money out of my account for my last energy bill which was unusual high compared to the rest of the years usage.

Don’t bother with anything from here - it’s not worth your sanity

Offshore call centre, Phillipines based so expect English with ZERO logic nor understanding. Just spent 8minutes repeating myself asking simply if there were any signup offers for gas, power, internet and mobile. Agent Laurence proceeds to try to verify my details five times - I’m not an account holder. He then begins explaining each plan for internet only, avoids speaking about power or gas let alone if any signup offers for a new customer. I eventually gave up and hung up, I’ve signed with a different company. Don’t bother, this company is only worth your peace if you have nothing else to do with your self and want problems. Too bad it couldn’t be a local call centre either maybe some logic and understanding could have gained a customer.

I have recently switched my NBN 500to Dodo

I have recently switched my NBN 500 supplier to Dodo and on completing the application details online and entering my credit card information I promptly received an email accepting my request.
The email stated that my current connection could be disconnected within a few minutes and will receive an email as soon as the service is changed over. I could find no facility to nominate a changeover date on the application, which I have had with all the other providers.
I promptly phoned Dodo and waited nearly ¾ hour for the phone to be answered and was then told I need to speak to accounts. They switched me to Tech support and after another ½ hr I finally spoke to accounts stating I needed to advise my current provider of a cutoff date and coordinate the switch over.
I was then told verbally my internet had already been switched and they could do nothing about it, they were very unsympathetic. I then waited for and did not receive a promised email advising me that the connection was completed and also the instructions on reconfiguring the modem. Consequently no internet for ½ day until I finished up phoning Tech support which resulted in them having to reconfigure the modem so that I could use the internet.
Beware if you need to advise your current supplier who requires notice before a switch Dodo has no facility to do this. It is done as soon as the application is completed. There is long wait on the phone to get answers meanwhile you have been switched. Your previous provider generally won’t give you a prorate credit for any overlap time as payments are month to month. Not happy Dodo.

Don't waste your money.

If I could give 0 stars, I'd give less than.
Can't get through a single 40 minute episode of something without having to reconnect 35 times (not even an exaggeration), let alone a movie. If someone is watching something, & someone else comes home, literally the SECOND they pull up & their phone links to the internet, it cuts off. When you contact them to fix it? Oh we'll upgrade you! And it works!... for like 3 days! We live in the middle of town, there is absolutely no excuse for the internet to be this trash for the amount paid. Will not be reconnecting when we move.

Customer support is poor

Please improve the customer support response time. It takes a long wait to reach the support. Anyways, I have no other issue with them. I hope they will care more for their customers.

Useless customer service

Useless customer service

I bought 5 sim cards, everyone's except mine worked. The coverage is pretty good, I will admit. But the customer service is useless.

1st attempt - Phone was stuck on SOS after sim card activation, Dodo told me to wait 24 hrs.

2nd attempt - Dodo told me they're doing a network restart. Wait 24 hrs.

3rd attempt - Dodo put in a mydodo request and to wait up to 72 hours for a response. No response despite a follow up.

4th attempt - DODOsaid they'll send me a sim card replacement and tried to CHARGE me for the service, stating the service will be suspended. Around this time it's been 7 days. They also said a sim card will take 1-4 business days and to call them if I hadn't gotten it.

5th attempt - Dodo are now saying sim card replacements actually take 10 business days and promised me it'll come the next business day. Get stuffed.

Thanks to Dodo I've lost my number and have to get a brand new one. Incompetent staff and long waiting time. I understand it's not one individual person's fault but Dodo is a bloody disgrace. I would avoid them at all costs.

I was with Dodo for 2 years

I was with Dodo for 2 years. I moved house and signed up with them for the new house and they sent me their welcome letter but 4 months later and no bill from them I rang to see what was going on. I was passed to 2 different people and then they told me they don’t supply electricity to this area. When I asked why I wasn’t told she hung up on me. Now I have had no provider for 4 months and have a huge problem. I would never go with dodo again and I hope nobody else gets this company for their electricity. Don’t do it.
