Charlie from the help desk - incredible customer service
Charlie from the help desk at dog friendly cottages was amazing. I found a cottage in this website but was overseen by Sykes cottages. We had left our accommodation booked on Sykes this morning as we booked somewhere else with Sykes, to then be told that we couldn’t have that cottage so was stranded with 2 children under 2. Charlie was able to forward on a message from dog friendly cottages site to Sykes as they wanted to charge us much more money and Sykes was useless helping us. With Charlie’s help we was able to secure the cottage we found on dog friendly cottages, and I cannot thank her enough. She was polite, friendly, helpful and the star of the day for us. Well done Charlie x thank you. Wish we could book direct with dog friendly rather that the overseeing website .

Don’t waste your money here , find somewhere else
We stayed at this caravan in March 2026, and it was one of the worst accommodation experiences we've had.
The caravan was extremely dirty when we arrived. There was dog hair everywhere, the bedding was dirty, and the overall cleanliness was completely unacceptable.
The biggest safety concern was the gas boiler. It did not appear to be safe, and you could actually see the flame through the boiler. To make matters worse, the gas ran out very early in the morning, leaving us without heating.
The biggest issue, however, was the £100 deposit. The owner would only accept it by bank transfer rather than through a secure payment method. After our stay, she refused to return the deposit, claiming we had left the caravan messy and had left some bin bags outside. These accusations were exaggerated and appeared to be used as an excuse to keep the money.
I have been trying to resolve this since March 2026. The owner has been very difficult to contact and has largely ignored my messages. I also contacted Booking.com several times. They attempted to help by contacting the owner, but she failed to respond to their emails or cooperate with them.
The owner claimed she had to use our deposit to pay her cleaners for extra cleaning. Based on the condition of the caravan when we arrived, I find that very hard to believe. It certainly did not look like it had been professionally cleaned before our stay.
My advice to anyone considering staying here is simple: don't. It may appear cheaper than other caravans in Wales , but there's a reason for that. What looks like a saving could end up costing you much more in the long run, both financially and in terms of the stress and disappointment it causes.

Having dog friendly locations in one…
Having dog friendly locations in one place is a great idea and I did find somewhere suitable via the site. It lost a star though as the first three locations I clicked on turned out not to allow dogs. To be fair, one location even had 'Dogs welcome' on their website but then told me they didn't allow dogs when I rang them to book.
