Wanted to book a Dog Friendly cottage .
Wanted to book a Dog Friendly cottage .
Picked the cottage and the price for 4 nights , then click Book Now ( price is shown)
Then extra £25 for dog ( is this for dog carrier? As it is not taking a bed ? So it must be for damage it may cause )
Then received a call to inform me either pay EXTRA £25 non refundable or Refundable £100
If no damage caused.
NOW I have been charged before for a tiny mark on wood floor the owner tried to state was caused by dog
So they want damage insurance that they claim a dog has caused PLUS they charge £25 for dog ( why ? It’s not for the space it takes ? So it must be for the possible damage it may cause)
Plus non refundable £25 for damage insurance
This makes this holiday not expensive but very expensive
SO NO THANKS

The price, was almost 100 pound cheaper than booking through sakes and Airbnb.

Easy to use app very good information about each property including the not quite so good things. Felt dog friendly cottages gave honest appraisal of the propertys.

Made a booking and deposit paid at 11:30 and at 1:30 received an e-mail to say the reservation had not gone through. Really disappointed!

When making the booking I booked from…
When making the booking I booked from 31st May for 5 nights leaving 5th June. The email confirmation stated arriving 30th May for 5 nights leaving 4th June which isn't what I booked. When I tried to get in touch i was forwarded to Sykes who's customer service has been very poor. I contacted Sykes on 16th May and yet to receive a response to resolve the issues.
