Dollywood Reviews 

We have been going to Dollywood for 9 years now And we absolutely loved it. We buy season passes every year & we got another season pass for this year. today my husband and I just came back from Dollywood and I am very disappointed. One of the things I enjoyed about Dollywood was as soon as you walked in there was country music playing all over the place. they had gazebos with live bands playing and it was a very Festive, enjoyable time there. But Today, when we walked in,the gazebos were gone & There was no country music playing , not even on the sound system. we only found one country Western show. The others were a 50 show which didn't enjoy and 1 was a dog show, which was excellent. We took the train and was very disappointed to see that They took the old log cabin down.That was one of the special things to see on the train. after this year We will not be getting another season pass, Because I don't think it's worth the money anymore. We're 76 years old, so we don't do the rides, We just go for the country western music. We live in Simpsonville SC, so it is a 3 hour trip for us to go there. But we still love Dolly!

There are more cons than pros:
CONS:
1) Parking lots require lots of walking, are very dark at night, some signs were incorrect, the rows are numbered with tiny black numbers on end posts which are impossible to see even during the day. Security had to help us find our car after walking far away from it for over 40 minutes!
2) While in the park, signage was awful. We had to ask several times where something was, even when standing by it! The workers agreed it was bad and said they have all complained about the lack of signs but nothing was fixed.
3) The Lightning Rod roller coaster needs to be banned. We had no idea of its extreme speed and there was no preview since the ride was mostly hidden. Rides are supposed to be fun but this one was one to hate!
4) Riding the train was messy because black soot continually showered down on us. It was not a scenic ride but just around a bunch of trees. And, when sitting outside watching performers on stage at various spots, the dark brown smoke from the train filled the audience! Not exactly great to have to breathe that and have the smoke in your eyes!
PROS:
1) There are many talented performers throughout the park. The variety was very nice and there is something for everyone to enjoy. We even saw a famous singer inside one of the buildings and she put on a fabulous show.
2) There are a few restaurants throughout the park and prices were reasonable.
3) The grist mill bakes cinnamon bread daily and you can smell it far away. It's quite popular and there are tables nearby to enjoy this warm tasty treat!
4) Exhibits were very interesting & well done. We enjoyed Dolly's newest exhibits featuring her clothing, wigs, guitars and more! We walked through her tour bus and a replica of her childhood cabin.
5) Each season offers new stage shows & exhibits, we heard. If visiting a lot, it would be worth it to buy a season pass.

Dollywood is the biggest waste of time and money.

Dollywood was great. Plenty of things to do with the rides, shows and shopping. Some advice. It can be hot. Be prepared for a lot of walking in the heat. Dollywood is roller coaster heavy. If you don’t do rides buy a one day pass vice a two day or use to second day for the water park.

I went to the DreamMore resort and spa, They promised me work and then backed out and to get rid of me they ambush me at valet and publicly humiliated me. They called me a. Loiterer to get rid of me

I was going there for dinner there for three months and then they made me feel wanted and then three months later they pulled this also, I have cerebral palsy quadriplegia they don’t give many opportunities to people with quadriplegia when Dollywood heard about this they did nothing. I thought Dollywood was very spiritual. Seems like it’s a double standard when someone like me wants to work.

Love this magical place! Food was delicious! Staff friendly. Rides fun. Shopping has a variety of things. Shows spectacular!

Won't be back until the parking and tram station are moved back closer to the gate. The walk with the new parking set up, through what use to be the handicapped parking lot is too much for someone in my condition. Apparently I'm not the only one either, according to my conversation with several other attendees. I have to pay $50 for an EVC after I get into the park, now I need my own to get to it. In the past you were able to drop someone off at the front gate for them to wait for you to park, not anymore. Dollywood has changed so much to secure their ESG score that they have forgotten why they exist in the first place, their customers. They don't seem to care about a handicapped person at all when they force them to walk the length of the park just to get there.
