I ordered four meals. I was missing parts of two meals and missing the main for another two meals. I contacted door dash with pictures and within 3 minutes I was told that my concern had been 'thoroughly reviewed' and was not eligible for a refund or further action. No explanation. Just denied. It was my first and last time using Door Dash.

As a restaurant owner I’m often use DoorDash service, I wish I wouldn’t. But if you look the way society is built right now, I’ve would say it’s your fault. You become lazy to pick your phone and order from restaurants directly, to go outside and pick up your food. Little tips for you they doubled prices on everything you ordered, order that cost you $20 if you pick it up you’ll pay over $50 plus delivery charges. Stop using greedy DoorDash service!

DoorDash has become one of the most blatantly exploitative, misleading, and infuriating services I’ve ever dealt with. Everything about the platform feels engineered to squeeze money out of customers while delivering the absolute bare minimum in return.
The pricing is a joke. You think you’re paying one amount, and by the time you reach checkout, DoorDash has quietly stacked on fees, markups, service charges, mystery surcharges, and whatever else they can slip past you. The final total looks nothing like what you expected — and that’s not an accident. It’s the business model.
The app itself is a mess. Items disappear, menus glitch, orders get stuck, and half the time you can’t even tell what you’re being charged for. Delivery times jump around like a slot machine. One minute it’s 20 minutes, the next it’s 75, then suddenly your order is “delivered” when it’s nowhere to be found.
Customer support is a black hole. You get canned responses, scripted apologies, and “credits” that don’t come close to fixing the problem. If your food is missing, cold, late, or never arrives at all, DoorDash treats it like a minor inconvenience instead of the service failure it is.
And the worst part? DoorDash behaves like a company that knows it can get away with this. The manipulation, the hidden costs, the constant upselling, the chaotic interface — it all feels intentional. A system built to confuse you, frustrate you, and push you into paying more than you realize.
DoorDash isn’t a convenience service anymore. It’s a friction machine designed to extract as much money as possible while delivering as little accountability as they can get away with.
If you value your time, your money, or your sanity, avoid this platform. DoorDash has turned into a full‑scale disaster.

If I could give negative stars, I would! Worthless app and drivers! Doordash clearly only hires lazy people or thieves then they cancel the orders and leave people hi and dry with no explanation and now my money is tied up between them and my bank because they sure don't replace the money as fast as they take it from you! Incorrect order/delivery time
I have two accounts a day and half apart.
1st: ordered two pints of ice cream and a bag of chips from Wawa, the Wawa I ordered from is 10 minutes from where I am and the dasher take 25-30 minutes I would prefer my ice cream not totally melted
2nd: tonight I ordered 2 frozen ice bars, water and chips. Again from Wawa, again dasher takers 31 minutes, ice cream was melty, a small case of water (I wanted one) and no chips. This is ridiculous and not my first or 5th time having issues with this app and company. No longer using it and advising friends and family to not use it anymore

I was charged for 2 orders, because their website locked up on an error near the end of my order, and i had to log back in and finished the order. I then saw on my bank statement I got charged twice. I logged a complaint with a chat support person and they tried to get me a refund, put the company refused because the 2vorders were made within 5 minutes. Does that make any sense? I had a terrible experience with DoorDash. I spent $96 on an order, and when something went wrong, I contacted support expecting help. Instead, they only gave me a partial refund and kept $54 of my money.
I even requested for the order to be re-delivered, but they refused and still kept the rest of my payment. This feels completely unfair and honestly like a scam.
Customer service was unhelpful, unprofessional, and dismissive. They hide behind policies instead of actually resolving the issue.
Do yourself a favor and don’t use this platform. Save your money and go pick up your food yourself.

Horrible customer service
I’ve order four times through doordash and 2 of the 4 times, we got someone else’s order (one time we got a food that had the date/time of the day before on it and the other time we got two chocolate milks and a box of cookies instead of dinner). The third time, they forgot to leave the chips and guac. And every time we call, we either can’t get a hold of customer service or when we do, iithe driver has already left and they offer no solution - no refund either.

When ordering food be prepared for the delivery to be more than two hours late ! I ordered at 5:15 and my order is still not ready and it says it will be arriving between 7:50-8:00. What a joke. I stopped using it in a previous town because the drivers were a mess but had pretty good luck in my new home until today. Same nonsense. They'll straight up admit they didn't bother to check your order and then she tells me to Google the customer service number. So great, I'm missing half of my stuff and I get to deal with some poor overseas rep who I'm sure loves getting yelled at all day for being hard to understand. They give me a $13 refund which is the cost of product and tax but I still paid over $17 for a single monster and two single sized candies because they don't refund the tip or their fees. What a rip. I won't be wasting my money again and quite frankly don't understand how they're still in business.

Dashers tend to cancel my orders, and when they do it gives me a notification that my order is cancelled. This time it never asked me if I wanted a refund or Credits, it automatically issued refund. I contacted support to get it into credits because i always have issues getting refunds back and NEVER get my refunds back which is why i always do credits. Was told i’m not allowed to do credits and that i have to wait. Never have i heard about this let alone im ALWAYS asked if i want credits that way i know i get my money back.

Customer service is extremely slow and rude. The promotion award I received for ordering multiple times in a timeframe was a scam. It applied to an order the restaurant cancelled and wouldn’t allow me to reuse it. Customer support told me it was still applied and wouldn’t reimburse it. It’s only $10 but out of principle it felt wrong. The woman on the line couldn’t give me anything and couldn’t have been ruder to me about it. It doesn’t feel good to give money to a company that has such poor customer service. I’ll be cancelling dash pass and switching to another provider. Twice in one morning, the Dasher left my food outside without knocking on the door... my dog barks EVERY TIME there is a knock at the door. We are a hearing impaired family. I wanted a refund since it happened twice. They refused asking for evidence. How do you provide evidence of the negative? You cannot prove that something didn't happen. It is unacceptable! Hearing loss is a disability. There response showed a complex disregard for servicing a customer with a disability. I order from them frequently throughout the week. So the guy had a stop before he showed up to the house and delivered my food to the people before me that only spent 29.00. So I called customer service and they told me they would give me a refund. They haven’t. And the pending on my account went through so I called customer service a second time and asked them where is my email for the refund. They told me they don’t send the emails until the funds get returned. So now it been like 10 days as they told me to wait and no refund I would give this place a zero star if I could there customer service is a joke. Worst company to even order food from. Then I had to go pick up food for the family and lose out of my money that I paid for and the food my kids didn’t even eat. Thanks for nothing DoorDash. I won’t be doing any business ever again with yall.
