Terrible company this is regsrding a…

Terrible company this is regarding a item i purchased through temu and sent by them i said it wasnt worth the money also there is a horrible smell to the chopping board with dents in the wood that can cause food contamination but because its heavy they dont want too arrange a collection from my house evri shop wont have it due to weight so where dose that leave me i would not bother at all with downton but else where

Shocking customer service

Brought 2 lamps back in October 2024, I noticed last night a crack has appeared right down the front of the lamp base, it's not been knocked over or anything, as ive been in hospital, contacted downton interiors to be told, that there us nothing they can do as any fault would be reported within 24 hours if delivery, however the crack has just appeared so how could I tell them about a fault within 24 hours, beware substandard goods and very very poor customer service, no guarantee just go away not our problem

EBAY from Downton Interiors…

I brought a James Martin block from them through E Bay.i didn't realise I had to open it to make sure not damaged. Unfortunately I was having a new kitchen fitted and once kitchen was replaced I then opened it. Damaged. I contacted the seller and said I had to get back to Ebay again Unfortunately it was 6 weeks later and my time had run out.so again phoned the sellers and explained again..they gave my order details etc..but will not give me an exchange or a refund for damaged goods..I have not even used it .they say inhavevent any rights to a refund..its disgusting.

Ordered a mirror from Downton Interiors yesterday and it has arrived today. Very well packaged. Beautiful mirror. Great price too. I'm delighted!

5 stars for Downton Interiors!

I have just taken delivery of the Agadir silver plant table from Downton Interiors. It is absolutely stunning, was super easy to assemble even for someone like me who struggles with anything like that! No tools were needed, and the table looks fantastic. I will now be ordering some in white and gold for other rooms in the house. Thank you so much!

My 16 year old Granddaughter chose a Mirror from Downton Interiors for her Birthday. I ordered it through Amazon and on arrival was shattered!! Amazon were useless so I rang Downton Interiors directly, spoke to Robyn on Friday, she was very apologetic and sent a replacement on the Friday and it arrived Today to a very happy Girl. Cannot thank Robyn anymore just great and caring service. Will use the company directly from now on☺️

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service, and in breach of consumer rights legislation.
I ordered two pieces of furniture for a total of around £550. The website stated clearly that delivery is included. It was delayed, and then they called me saying it will be a kerb side delivery and they will leave both heavy cabinets on the street! So I had to hire men or as they suggested "get friends and neighbours" to come and carry my furniture in and on the stairs in the middle of the day! They blamed COVID but when I spoke to their delivery company they said it had nothing to do with COVID and this is simply the delivery that Downton interiors use. I offered to pay a supplement but they wouldn't cooperate. So I asked to cancel the order - which I perfectly have the right to do in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 but they said it will cost me £120... However much I reminded them they have no right to do this they insisted. When I mentioned to the manager that I will report them to Trading Standards they reluctantly said they will reduce my "fine" to £60 which still didn't make any sense. Then I waited for the refund for over a month and it never arrived. Then they said they refunded via Paypal but Paypal confirmed there was no such request registered anywhere. They messed me around for weeks and I lost patience and opened a case with Paypal who after their own investigation obtained a full refund. But the experience was very painful. Definitely not worth buying from them.

Amateur customer service

I bought a brand new, extra large mirror from Downton Interiors for just under £90 via eBay, which arrived undamaged. However, a week later, whilst hanging it, we realised the glass was badly distorted. On alerting Downton interiors to the problem, they simply blamed their supplier; took no responsibility themselves and offered to knock off a tenner - this was despite me forwarding them a glaziers quote of £36 for the true cost of replacing the glass. I suggested then Downton Interiors send me a replacement piece of glass, but they declined to follow that option up either. My emails to them were eventually ignored so finally eBay (shout out to them!) had to step in and force Downton Interiors to issue me a full refund - all so unnecessary. Please up your game on the customer service front Downton interiors otherwise your intransigent and unprofessional attitude will only continue to backfire.
