Put simply, EVERYTHING from start to finish, was EXCELLENT. The experience and expertise of the staff were clearly apparent, and this, when added to the generous discount authorised by Steve the Furniture Manager, encouraged me to purchase a second motorised armchair rather than just the one as originally planned. EMMA from the Sofa Department was also most helpful right from the start in early March this year.

Bought a new corner sofa and cuddle chair - really please with the aftercare - the cuddle chair arrived damaged and we were given a loan chair until a replacement was made and delivered. Service throughout has been exceptional - a big thank you for the team at downtown.

I was impressed by the price AND free postage. My order was dispatched quickly and,arrived in good order. The transaction moved along well. I was amazed that I didn't even have to give my card number, you seem to have it all.
I've ordered sheepskin gloves from Derbyshire in the past. That firm was very helpful, so I think you must have special people up there.

Downtown is a lovely store, an old-fashioned department store that has been upgraded into the modern day. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, they really care about the store and their products. We bought carpet and it was ordered,delivered and fitted with such care, making sure we were happy at each stage. We then ordered a new lounge suite, again each stage was double checked to make sure it was correct. We were informed when it arrived in sore and dislikes booked. The delivery was so smooth, the old suite removed and the new placed where we indicated.
We are long time customers and will purchase again in the future as the service is first class and the goods are high quality and long lasting.We are so happy.

After a 5 month lead time our 3 piece suite was delivered. It came well protected and boxed and was assembled by two pleasant delivery men.

Dualit is a super make and I am very pleased with my new toaster.

Just made amazing purchase through Downtown Boston. Service from Gary and Meashelle has been exceptional throughout. Seen Gary now a few times looking at various sofa’s, nothing too much trouble, showed extreme patience and has excellent product knowledge. Needless to say went back today and completed purchase with Gary, two extremely happy customers. Also was helped by another extremely helpful team member Sue who sold us curtains that were the perfect match. Extremely helpful staff who helped me find the right components for an unusual order.

Bought a double reclining bed 6 months ago which wore and went soft and saggy far too quickly. Downtown allegedly called us 8 times to arrange for a third party assessor to visit but mysteriously I only had one missed call...Assessor finally came to check it approx 6 weeks after our initial complaint only to say this saggy blancmange of a mattress is fine (despite many reviews of Highgrove beds having the same issues as ourselves. I have Parkinsons disease and degenerative spine problems so needed a decent firm bed and this bed was sold to us as suitable. I can't sleep on it and certainly can't get out of the thing, currently sleeping on the floor and my back problems are now far worse. Looks like about £800 worth of mattresses will be heading straight to landfill.
