I researched online prices with several different suppliers and found a wide range of prices. Downtown Stores was a lot less than its competitors. I was prepared to trade off a longer lead time for that reduced price but, in the end, delivery was quicker than had been predicted.

We had excellent service from Elizabeth when ordering our Dining Room furniture. Delivery was quick and the delivery men were very efficient. They assembled the table and took all the packaging away.

I love this company I have shopped here for years ,we spent over 8,000 last sept 2025,As we decided to gut the lounge and dining room ,Got rid of all the furniture and start again ,Brought all the furniture from downtown, Even the wall paper ,lovely quality and very happy with the purchase, The two men that delivered were brilliant they made sure all was ok and took all the packaging away for us ,Excellent service thank you .

Had a new bedroom carpet fitted by Oldrids yesterday and the guys made an excellent job of it. Given I didn't want to move some modular wardrobes they fitted the new carpet around them and you'd never know it didn't go completely underneath. Oldrids price was slightly higher than I could have bought the carpet online for, but I wanted to support local business and I've dealt with them for years without issue - Sometimes price isn't everything :)
