Quality of service is dependent upon work ethic of driver

The quality of DPD's delivery service depends entirely on the work ethic of its drivers. On this occasion, one lazy driver delivered two huge boxes from an Ikea order I had made but couldn't be bothered to knock on my front door to alert me of the boxes. I phoned Ikea and complained to them. I can't get through to DPD so am leaving this review instead. How to improve: ensure you employ hard working delivery drivers who care about their jobs. There are some excellent courier drivers out there, the one who delivered my items was not one of them. How much does it take to knock on a customer's door!

Driver parks up on my driveway to deliver parcels…

I came home from work to find a white delivery van parked horizontally across my driveway. He left me a small space to reverse onto my own driveway and when he saw me he said my door number to which I replied “yes”.
He gave me my two parcels and as he was taking a photo I said to him “you shouldn’t really be parking on my driveway though” and his reply was “huh?” so I repeated my statement and he shrugged his shoulders and said “okay”, got in his van and drove off.
When I looked back on my Ring doorbell footage to see if there was a reason for him parking on my driveway in the first place, there were no other vehicles obstructing the road so he didn’t need to park on my property.

Worst Courier by far.

We have a lot of parcels delivered daily and if ever there is a problem with one, we can almost guarantee it will be DPD. Nearly all others are great with no problems. The staff in general are unhelpful and arrogant. The driver for our area is hopeless often claiming we were out when we weren't and frequently just throwing parcels over the gate including on one occasion a car battery from Tayna batteries that burst leaving battery acid everywhere.

I asked for parcel £23 to be left in garden with gate wedged open. they instead left it in busy footpath but said 'left in porch' we do not have a porch. luckily a dog walker alerted us. If someone had taken it where would that leave me with 'Gardeners Dream' a ebay shop.? I won't be using them again either

Am I caught between a parallel universe

DPD must be employing idiots again, that can’t read, or impaired. They don't seem to learn from their mistakes.
Once again, my friend waited in for a parcel that was guaranteed next day delivery. The order was stating that it would be delivered between 2:59 – 3:59 pm. They were working in their office which looks out to the driveway so they could see when the van would show up.
When it got to 3:50 pm they looked at the order and it was now saying the driver attempted to deliver this order at 3:59 pm, are we dealing with Space Time Continuum or something, can DPD time travel on bogus deliveries. It was a no show again......
The next update message was the parcel was refused, as the contact name was not recognised. Please tell me am I missing something.
Is it because it is Friday afternoon and they get paid by attempted deliveries, or they just can't be bothered.
What is their recruitment strategy, they take people on with the lowest IQ and train down.
Avoid this company.

Today day 5 ref no 1550 3801 376 293C

Today day 5 of trust pilot review of DPD a Gabriel (sounds familiar) was going to deliver my parcel between 13:10 and 14:10 !Surprise time now 18:42 no parcel asked to wait till 8 as drivers work till then as he may get it to me by them. Call Centre closes at 8 customer services 6:30 so I have to be patient after all I have now only been told 5 days my parcel will be delivered. Is this normal how about my parcel will be first out not planned to fit in with others or use another service. Time now 21:30 no parcel no excuse just poor unprofessional service.Simple.

If I could choose 0 stars I would

If I could choose 0 stars I would. These people are a joke. I ordered next day delivery . By the time I get it , if I do, it will be 4 days . My road is closed but there is a diversion and I live about 100 yards from the sign. Day 1 the driver could not be bothered to use either the diversion or his feet to walk to my door. The next day the time slot which I could not choose clashed with an appointment so I was not in but the parcel was easily letterbox size . I have ring doorbell & spoke to the driver who point blank rudely refused to leave it with a neighbour or put it through the letterbox !! So now the company in their electric vehicles have wasted two trips both avoidable .
This company are not with bothering with and I did not close them but my supplier did . I’ve been told by them before that they tried to deliver and I was out which was a lie as my front room is where my door is and nobody came. So my advice don’t use and ask the shop to offer an alternative

WHAT CAN I SAY???

WHAT CAN I SAY! 😳 This is the second time I have had a delivery scheduled, the first time it took DPD two weeks to deliver my purchase from a Bathroom shop, and then nothing... no delivery, and I had to chase them, eventually the shop sent out another delivery to another address as they couldnt find me! They said no one was home, when I was waiting, no one came, no ring on the door bell. I think it was just the easy thing to return it to base. TODAY!! I've been in all day waiting for medical supplies that I ordered over a week ago, on checking with my supplier they followed it up and I got notification it would come today, between 7am and 10pm, 4.30pm still at home, I get a text to say there was no one home to sign for the delivery... no one knocked, no door bell rang, do you delivery guys think I'm stupid??? I'm down to have it are delivered tomorrow, sunday. I will be in all day... I'm not very hopeful. This last time I asked the supplier to include my mobile number for the driver to call me if stuck, and even then... no
phone call. What does it take to get a parcel delivered??? Contacting the warehouse phone number listed on the internet is useless as it's all automated. SO.... tomorrow we shall see if I can get third time lucky???

“Simply The Best”😅

Dpd is another delivery company that is unwilling and unable to do its job well. Their responses to telephone enquiries are particularly funny. I received a message from dpd with the collection number and time, which meant 8-17.00. I called to explain that I could not wait all day for the goods to be collected. To my amazement, the employee was not only unable to find the information dpd had sent, but also to change the time or give any "reasonable" answer. Eventually he tried to stop me to explain that he was not trained. When it didn't seem normal to me - Fantastic was the sequel... The employee thought I was asking for something supernatural so he said : "You're not going to MacDonald's and demanding to go and get a chicken?"
Simply the best!!😂

Watched driver pull into my drive

Watched driver pull into my drive , get parcel out walk up take photo of house chuck under his seat and take off .
I’m in crutches so couldn’t make it too door , opened window he ignored me and left.
DPD say no address on parcel - but can’t explain how he pulled into my drive . Deny he took photo good thing all filmed wasn’t .
Customer service useless and make up anything to cover up.
Then also said no one at the flat ?? No as he’s been sat on my drive ?
Appalling Customer service let alone the lying drivers

My experience was not great today

My experience was not great today, IAM literally fuming, I knew I had a parcel coming between 3-4pm it was saying in my DPD app that it would be here , at 15.15 pm , I was home the driver has said that I was not home, do didn't even knock on my door or ring the bell

Abysmal service

This company is horrendous! Had a parcel that was supposed to have been delivered on Friday. The courier delivered to the wrong address and after several calls, they said it was going to be sorted. I waited the whole day and nothing. Called again today and they said they would call me back. Nothing. This is absolutely the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. My parcel disappeared and this incompetent driver that was supposed to have fixed it never did. Costumer service workers were very polite but didn’t resolve my issue at all. Awful service and a bunch of liars!

The worse company in the world
The worse company in the world , i waiting for parcel today all day , i check my apps , on apps is information to delivery today but when i call to dpd Hollytown Glasgow , lady form depo tell me to delivery cant be delivered today because parcel is to havy . I pay secund time to delivery , first time my parcel was delayed and back to sender , this time is this same sytuation !!!

I was expecting a delivery from DPD and I spotted him photographing my building

I was expecting a delivery from DPD and they are usually the most reliable. I track the delivery and wait at my door to make it quicker for the driver. I saw the driver waiting at the traffic lights. ready to turn into my place. He got out his camera photographed the building from the cab and drove on, he submitted the photo as an attempted delivery.

Waste of Time

Numerous missed collections, each time using the same excuse with random photos sent of some random address.
Utter waste of time. 4 collection attempts later and I've given up.
In all 4 collection attempts across almost a week not once did they even turn up!
Honestly do not bother, faster to walk it there yourself.
I just don't understand how they stay in business.
My advice would be use Royal Mail or Parcel Force. Maybe old school but at least they turn up!!!!!

Never arrived got to 1 stop away then "your driver is running late and will be with you shortly" but never arrived - this has happened a few times with DPD now I avoid using companies who use DPD
