Pathetic, Useless, Rubbish Ridiculous Courier company....

Hello All,

I want to share my personal experience with DPD two times in a week time which is worse and forced me to write this for the company which isn't good at all.

DPD is the unreliable worst, pathetic, unprofessional, rubbish, ridiculous, appalling, bad, poor, shocking, disappointing, disgusting Etc... company that anyone can do business with them. The service is so pathetic that the driver didn't come to home to deliver the parcel though i got message 30 mins away and then next delivery is mine. This is not the first time they have done it. This is second time in a week and so many times whenever DPD has chosen for delivery. i never ever use DPD to send parcel anyways but can't stop the retailers who still using them though the service is worse then EVRI which i think is the worse courier company.

Initially it happened with first parcel in the week where the driver didn't attempt delivery at home and never came to knock or bell the door. I got a message sorry with missed you and the driver will leave the package to the drop off point which i never selected as an options. i called through app straightaway and the customer service department is also really worse and not helpful at all. She said i will try to call depot and after a while she came back and said driver is not answering the phone and said that driver has uploaded the picture which isnt mine and he lied to the back office and the hand held device that they use, how ridiculous and appalling service is that. I raised the complaint and advise it will be investigated internally and brushed under the carpet as what normally happen in DPD. I took the pain and collected the parcel from the pick up shop which isn't convenient for me.

Today i knew that DPD will deliver the parcel and around 14:30 i called through app and said that since DPD drivers are not reliable and telling you that i will be at home during the one hour slot i have been sent and told her to send this message to driver as delivery is very important and i need desperately and she said she i have done that and it will be deliver. in the evening i got a message that the driver is 30 mins away and then got a message that your delivery is the next and after 15 mins the driver put the message sorry we miss you and driver won't be back today. I was literally fuming and frustrated, i called from the app and contacted to another unhelpful advisor and she said the same let me check with the depot and the driver didn't answer the phone. i asked her why this is happened second time in a week and she has no answer to anything, advised i will be at work and can't leave my work to wait for the parcel and want the parcel to be delivered between 16:00 - 18:00 when i will be back after school run but she said no its not. after waited for around 15 mins advised that i want to speak to manager and she said she will arrange call back within two hours and no one called back as expected.

The management at DPD is aware whats happening but behave like blind and they have no control on there drivers are their performance they don't have any KPI's for there delivery drivers and drivers have monopoly where they are playing with the management the way they want. They know that they are untouchable and customers are stupid enough to use DPD as they probably lazy and probably not even there own drivers.

I always thing Hermes/EVRI is the worse service in UK but now i think DPD is just a name which give you feel a well customer eccentric company but its absolutely wrong. The Management including the top level are all rubbish and dont care about the poor level of service they are providing. I will report to the retailer for this mess up and request all the retailers not to use DPD as this will not only disappointment your customers but one day people will not do the purchase because the company use DPD as courier. i have experience so many issues with there drivers and their attitude which makes you feel like that the drivers only need money.

please i beg you all to share your worse experience and let people read and set the expectations accordingly. I will try my best to use almost all the social media websites, review sites to spread the worse ever service in my life i have experienced with DPD. Beware of thee lies as well as this is the company culture to make things up which doesn't help the customer anyways. I will make sure i will spread these words to whole UK. Thank you so much for reading and please share your worse experience in this platform so that we can spread out experience with worse company like DPD.

App doesn't work full stop and…

App doesn't work full stop and developer email doesn't exist.....guess it about it sums total experience of a lie. Delivery is like a random time machine....more chance of winning the lottery!

Unreliable - faster to pick up myself

They changed their delivery date 3 times, and then had me waiting for over 5 hours promising that the delivery would arrive "shortly", only for the tracking page tell me at 10pm that the delivery would not arrive. The package randomly turned up the next day - before being notified again that the package would be delayed.

Customer services are just as bad as the delivery. I tried to complain to them, just to be told to contact another department. They couldn't even be bothered to forward my complaint to the relevant department. Maybe they would react better if I had complained publicly on Twitter instead of sending them a direct message.

Impossible to contact when you have…

Impossible to contact when you have problems without a tracking parcel number but if your complaint isn’t related to a specific parcel how do you contact DPD! You can’t basically I’d avoid using these guys if I could so annoyed that they don’t make it easier to contact customer services

DPD only deliver torn boxes but won't collect

DPD delivered a battered torn box containing a damaged order. Arranged a return and get this, the DPD driver refused to take the battered torn box back because of its condition. It wasn't the obvious double standards that surprised me but a DPD driver pretending to care. In truth he hates his job so took it out on me. Resolution: I have to return the item in a better box than they delivered it in. This is why my heart sinks when a retailer uses DPD.

If I could award a minus score i would

If I could award a minus score i would. Delivery should have been made yesterday am. Then pm. Then a message to say Lincoln has problems (no kidding!) so delivery Monday. This morning a text to say delivery 1500-1600 today. I waited in the car at the entrance to our barrier protected property for over an hour. No DPD. Rang Lincoln depot, got a lady in Northampton, who rang driver who said he hadn't got my parcel in his van even though it was recorded as loaded.

LIARS, INCOMPETANTS AND CHEATS the lot of you, but you won't read this, or take any notice will you?????

Lincoln still haven't rung me as promised; I still have no idea when to expect delivery and from other comments here I am not the only dissatisfied customer - in fact there are NO good reviews!!!!!

THE worst UK Courier

We have nothing but trouble continuously with DPD. We are a business so unfortunately get sent a lot of parcels with them . Always delivering out of business hours but even when here they just claim we arent (neighbours also here) and rather than bring back later or next day they dump it other stores so most of the time we are collecting rather than them delivering as they are paid to do.
Tried emailing to complain to their 'makitright' email, no reply, head of customer service- no reply. Absolute waste of time.

It's a total waste of my time and money.

Without coming to my address, they said I was not at home, even though I was at home waiting for my delivery.
The next day they sent half of my delivery to me, and another half they returned to the furniture company that I originally bought the chairs from; without any reason.

Now I am stuck without the unhelpful furniture company (NCF Living) for the other half of the delivery.

It's a total waste of my time and money.

I’m so disappointed with your service!

I’m so disappointed with your service!! I keep blaming thè companies who use you BUT I see it’s your delivery drivers who are to blame for leaving parcels on the doorstep which I cannot bend down and lift up as I’m not well, they leave boxed parcels in the rain, they rush back to their van before I can get to the door!!! I’m not going to buy from any company dealing with you! I’ll also make sure that I use my media platform to leave this review of your company!! Disgusting and unprofessional!! This has happened several times !!!

Thieves !

Thieves !, Three separate international parcels, on 3 separate days, all stolen by DPD.
Due to the present costs and DPD being the cheapest, I took the gamble of using them, and failed.
My business was not making fortunes and DPD prices made it just possible to export my items.
Now, after 3 thefts by DPD staff, I can no longer afford to send items overseas.
Folks you won't listen to this warning but I guarantee one day you will be on here warning others
DO NOT USE DPD.

How can they still be in business?

How on earth can DPD continue to function with such terrible service! Yet ANOTHER parcel delivered to the wrong address today (still not traced). I usually vet online suppliers to check if they use DPD and then just shop somewhere else, but this one slipped through the net! I'd give zero stars if I could!

AVOID 100% AWFUL

Ordered an expensive item, paid for a deliver slot. When the driver hadn't knocked the door an hour after the slot, I checked the tracking which said 'delivery refused'. Apparently someone called Sarah refused delivery. There is no Sarah in my household or withing the 7 or more neighbours in either direction, so IF they knocked a door it wasn't mine or anywhere NEAR where I live.

Honestly I think they got to bank holiday Saturday and went home, because the next day the rescheduled delivery was cancelled due to 'unforseen circumstances'. I now have to wait another 3 days with no refund for timed slot, and no guarentee they'll read the address this time.

I live in a small street. The numbers are sequencial, HOW do you get that wrong even if you put in only the tiniest of effort? Simple you don't.

Not my first time with DPD, but it's my last. I will not order from any company using them now - just not capable.

DISGUSTING!!!!!

Disgusting service from dpd, had a pet food delivery today only to find the delivery driver has smashed items at my property. Then you just dump my delivery and don't even knock on the door, I don't even get a message saying delivery complete. Well done ELAINE KERR CEO of dpd you have failed 👏

DPD delivery driver came to deliver my…

DPD delivery driver came to deliver my new phone. I had got a discount on the new phone because I was trading in my current phone. The delivery driver said i had to hand over my current phone right then or I could not have the new phone. Obviously, I did not hand him my current phone so the delivery driver left with my new phone. Samsung has since confirmed I need to send my current phone onto them within 7 days. I have tried calling DPD on 2 separate phone numbers and it is a short message then cuts off. I have tried using their email and it wont go through. I have tried using their "chat online" but it is a robot, not an actual customer service advisor and you go round in circles. Also, my parcel is showing under the tracking on their website that the parcel has still not been received from Samsung (yet they tried to deliver it to me today)! I literally cannot speak to anyone at DPD. Disgusting customer service.

Driver in bad mood

Driver arrived to pick up a parcel being returned to a supplier, he was in a bad mood that he missed our house and had to reverse all the way down the hill. I said it was a big heavy parcel. He started stressing that the van was full, I helped him carry the box out and when he lifted it, he dropped it on the corner of the box. I told him to go easy, it was a sewing machine that cost £5.000, he just carried on muttering and shoved it on top of the other big boxes. He just muttered his way around the van and drove off. I have contacted the supplier and warned them the machine left me with just one fault.

I get it that people have bad days and it's not me that plans his route and parcel pick ups but you don't take it out on the customers. I used to work in a holiday complaints department and would have been in trouble if I had treated a customer like this.

I am fuming

I am fuming, driver called this morning rang the bell twice and before i could get to the door he vanished all within 15 seconds. Received a message that they will not try a second delivery and the parcel will be delivered to a DPD pick up point the next day. Whats the matter with these people. Parcel # 05308083319223

NO EFFORT TO FIND ADDRESS

Like others, I would give negative stars if it were possible.
I was expecting a delivery of wine from France, handled by Chronopost, a part of DPD Group. This was delayed beyond the predicted time, and I accept this in view of problems due to Brexit.
Consignment number was XJ941290721JF.
I received a message giving me a one-hour delivery slot. I was at home throughout the day. At the appointed time, my mobile rang once, then stopped. I assume this was the DPD driver asking for directions. I range back immediately, within 2 minutes, and then repeatedly during the rest of the day, but the number was constantly delayed.
Next day was a Saturday and I could not contact DPD. On the Monday, I checked the tracking site and found that the consignment, already significantly delayed, was in transit back to the sender in France!
When I ordered the goods, I gave directions to my house, and these were included in the confirmation email.
I live in a small village of 100 houses, where I am well know, and one enquiry at any house would have told the driver where I live. DPD clearly have my mobile number, because their driver used it.
The wine was needed for a function and it is now too late. I have had to buy more expensive wine locally.
I am very angry that they have made no effort to deliver my consignment.

Not recommended

I would not use DPD if you live outside a city area. We have been waiting for 2 days for a collection. An item which can not be replaced or refunded until returned. We 2ill now be waiting all day again on Monday and no means of contacting the company. Don't touch them if you want a reliable service.
