Website difficulties
I had difficulty making an online reservation due to the website not recognizing an American phone number. Eventually, after interacting with customer services several times, they made the reservation for me. Customer service replied to my inquires promptly, but it took several days back and forth due to time differences to get the reservation.

Extra charges for inexistant damage
I had a terrible experience renting a car in Milano Centrale. The vehicle was dirty and covered in scratches. To make matters worse, I was charged for a scratch that didn’t even exist! I provided photos as evidence, but the rental company completely ignored my concerns and went ahead with the extra charges. This is a total scam and a caricature of poor service. Avoid this place at all costs—it's the worst of Italy!

Poor customer experience - Drivalia at Turin Airport…
I rented from Drivalia at Turin Airport (14–21 February). Pre-booked snow socks were unavailable on arrival and I was told to go and buy my own from a petrol station. After pushing back, I was upgraded to a comparable 4x4 — credit where it's due.
The problem started after returning the car. I used the key drop box on 21 February and the vehicle was in perfect condition. Since then, I have been unable to get anyone from Drivalia to confirm receipt or release my £500 pre-authorisation deposit (less fuel). The Turin Airport office goes unanswered. The UK customer service number routes you to new reservations, and every attempt to transfer to complaints ends with the call dropping. Two other published numbers — no answer, no callback.
It is now 26 February — five days after return — and the deposit remains on hold. This is well beyond the standard 72-hour release window.
I would encourage anyone considering Drivalia to think carefully, particularly if you're using a drop box return where there is no staff confirmation on handover.
Update to follow once resolved.

Overall ok
Overall, our experience with Drivalia was good. The booking process was smooth, the staff was polite, and the car itself was clean and in good condition. Pick-up and drop-off were also easy and well organized.
However, there was one serious issue. We specifically requested winter chains, but instead we were given textile snow socks. Unfortunately, they tore very quickly while driving on snowy roads, and we were left stuck on snow with summer tires. This created a stressful and potentially dangerous situation.
Apart from this problem, everything else was fine. I would recommend Drivalia, but I strongly suggest making sure proper snow chains are provided if you plan to drive in winter conditions

Zero stars
Zero stars. Avoid at all costs.
This company has absolutely screwed us and has stolen money.
Starting with not having the car we booked, then supplying a defective car, then charging us more money after an accident, even though we had full insurance, not replying to emails, and being all around absolutely useless, you'd be better going to literally ANY other company.
AVOID!

AVOID - YOU'LL BE OUT OF POCKET!
We hired a car at Treviso Airport for 7 days. The car wouldn't start on day 3, after 9 hours roadside recovery turned up and took the car away. Leaving us stranded.
Drivalia advised on day 6 we could get a taxi to the airport (2 hours away) and get a new car. I advised there was not much point as we flew home the next day.
THE OPERATOR TOLD ME THE CAR WOULD BE REFUNDED AND TAXI REIMBURSED - IT HAS NOT BEEN

For your own safety & sanity please…
For your own safety & sanity please don’t use this company.
They don’t have the cars you book and give you a supposed upgrade that’s not an upgrade but in fact a car not fit for purpose. I ordered a winter pack & was promised it was included, it wasn’t and put us in a very dangerous situation in the mountains. We booked an estate car, manual with winter pack. We received automatic electric hybrid car that was not fit for use in the mountains. A few days into the rental it broke down on a remote part of the mountains leaving me and my family including children completely stranded in awful weather -6 where there was no phone reception. They have no emergency number. Their customer service is non existent, I contacted their number around 100 times to be cut off every time! Finally after 4 hours managed to contact them to be told they will recover car but not us. It cost me 100 euros for an emergency driver to get us to safety for the night. On calling customer service the next day when open they advised they would not replace the car and I must go to their store 70 miles away. It cost us 200 euro to get a private transfer, it was a 9 hour round trip. Where we are is remote with no public transport, hence why we hired a car with a winter pack. On arriving at their office 70 miles away I was told they had no cars we could have. They refused to give me a replacement. I had to go to Avis to hire an alternative car costing us a further 500 euros. Missed holiday and skiing already paid cost us another 300 euros! So far the damage they caused is 1100 euros plus the 500 euro it cost to hire from them and we have not even had the car we hired or in fact any car for most of the holiday!! Their service is disgusting! Luckily booked through a 3rd party who’s customer service is good and I’m looking for recompense!! We still have the key to the car and no one has even been in touch, that’s how incompetent they are! The car is probably still stranded on the mountain!

All was great
Wrong information at rental time costed 204 euros.
I rented a car from Palermo (PMO) to Rome (FCO) and had a very disappointing experience.
The attendant provided incorrect information twice about the insurance cost and she could not cancel it at the time because the system did not allowed her so she asked me to send an e-mail to Drivalia regarding this, which I did the same day.
At first Drivalia replied that they could do nothing that basically that mistake would be on me and nothing they could do if the person gave me wrong information. I even had a writting paper with the email and what should ask but they did not care.
Edit: After publishing here, Drivalia got in touch with me, asked some information about the rental and got in touch with the store to check it and refunded me. I did not expect they would really solve it, but thankfully they did! Thanks.

Everything was great.(but 2 things)
Everything was great.
Two notes:
1. We didn't "scan" the car before leaving, we just got a key.
2. It was hard to find the Drivalia parking when coming back to the Airport, a bigger sign near the right side entrance (where we entered by mistake) could help.
And a sign "Drivalia is in the other building" near the Sixt's signs inside the second building.
Thanks

Rented a car at Mian Linate airport.
Their fleet is very poor, I received a car with some damages on its body, some rated as serious on the report but the worst is the bed smell inside.
The good thing are the operators working in Linate Drivalia site: one guy at the collection point tried to spray some perfume inside and the front desk operator did his best to find a decent car, even if he could not, due to the lack of availability. I would like to thank Mr. Adel for this, otherwise my rating would have been zero star instead of three.
ZTL fine Almost 2 years after renting a car from Brindisi aeroporto
Almost 2 years after renting a car from aeroporto Brindisi Italy we received a fine for ZTL. We had already returned the car and left the country when the offence was committed. Drivalia gave our details to the authorities instead of the actual people who committed the offence.
I also remember how awkward the lady was when we collected the car. She did not want to list the damages on the car before we accepted the rental. The car was extremely dirty so it was very difficult to assess the damages before accepting the car.
It’s a very poor experience and now we are dealing with the authorities to clear our name.
