Although I experienced an issue with the Drivalia website, the Drivalia team resolved the problem promptly via email and ensured that all conditions, including the discounts, remained intact.
I would like to apologize for my previous review, as I had not received a response at that time. However, I am now truly grateful for everything the team did to resolve my concerns.
Considering this, I can definitely recommend Drivalia

UNFAIR COMPANY
Drivalia refused to provide a prepaid car rental based on a condition that was not clearly disclosed before payment.
We were present on time and had a valid credit card holder available. We asked to change the main driver accordingly. This was refused and no vehicle was provided.
The company retained the full payment and falsely treated the case as “requirements not met”, despite the fact that the rental could have proceeded.
Retaining money for a service that was never delivered and refusing a reasonable solution is misleading and constitutes unfair business practice.

The website is not working
The website is not working, and contact by email or phone provides poor service, as they quote higher prices compared to the website, where discounts are available.
This is unfair to the customer.

be carefull
Be careful about the condition you pick-up the car, make pictures including for accessories in the trunk. Also receiving back the deposit might be delayed a lot.
I booked a vehicle specifically with a…
Update: The rental company reached out and refunded part of the cost as compensation. It’s a nice gesture, but I still wouldn’t recommend them.
Original review: I booked a vehicle specifically with a Winter Package (winter tires and snow chains) for a trip to the Cervinia Ski Resort, but the company failed on every level. While I accepted a different car model than the one originally requested, the vehicle provided was completely unfit and dangerous for winter conditions:
- Bald Tires: The car was equipped with worn, "Rain Type" all-season tires with minimal, almost bald tread—extremely dangerous for alpine snow and ice.
- Missing Equipment: Despite my booking, no snow chains were provided. I pointed this out at pick-up, but I was simply told that none were available.
- Maintenance Issues: The windshield washer fluid was a summer version that froze immediately, making it impossible to keep the windshield clear in freezing temperatures.
I definitely do not recommend their services to anyone.

A Life-Threatening Experience: Drivalia’s Negligence and Extortion
If you value your safety and your money, stay as far away from Drivalia as possible. I rented an electric Peugeot e-208 for a trip to the mountains with my child. Not only did Drivalia fail to mention that their charging network is incompatible with the car’s CCS2 rapid charging needs (offering only slow/medium speeds), but the battery was also completely unfit for winter conditions—dropping from 100% to 71% in just 40 minutes.
When I got stranded near the French border in freezing temperatures with a small child, their 'customer support' told me to wait 5 minutes and then simply stopped answering because their office went on a break. I had to pay for emergency accommodation just to keep my child warm. To top it off, the Turin airport staff was incredibly arrogant, told me 'you knew what you were getting into,' and forced me to pay an additional €650 for a basic Fiat Punto. This isn't a rental service; it’s a predatory scam that disregards human life.

A Fine Disaster
I arrange the trip online and prepaid. Upon arrival your team refused to rent the car - even though there waere no preemptive info or indications. There was another gentelman with the same problem - we both went next door to your competition and arranged rental without a hassle. Seems that your people up there in Verona Airport work for another company. I requested the return of the payment and have not received anything to date.

The car rental services at Fiumicino Airport provide a seamless experience for travelers. The process of picking up and dropping off the vehicle is generally efficient, with clear signage and helpful staff. A diverse selection of vehicles is available, catering to various needs and budgets. Additionally, the convenience of having a rental service right at the airport saves time and enhances the overall travel experience.

I have used Drivalia several times - But this was the last time.
I have rented from Drivalia several times before. The cars themselves are generally acceptable, though often already scratched or worn. For the price, this had previously been tolerable.
However, this summer was definitively the last time I will ever use this company.
I booked the rental with full insurance through DiscoverCars. As I always do, I thoroughly documented the vehicle at pick-up with both photos and video, clearly showing all existing scratches and dents.
Approximately 10 minutes into the drive on the highway, a piece of rubber from the vehicle in front of me struck the windshield and caused a crack. When returning the car, I was completely transparent and immediately reported the cracked windshield in writing.
Later, I received a damage claim from Drivalia listing every single scratch and dent on the vehicle, in addition to the windshield, all charged to me. This was despite the fact that these damages were clearly visible in my pick-up documentation.
After I submitted my evidence, Drivalia removed the scratches and dents from the claim — but increased the cost of the windshield, without explanation. Communication throughout this process was extremely poor, with unclear and inconsistent English. Eventually, the claim was paid and fully reimbursed through my insurance, and I considered the matter closed.
One month later, I began receiving new invoices, sent without explanation and only in Italian. My emails requesting clarification were never answered. Instead, the same invoice was repeatedly resent. Now, a third-party company is contacting me demanding payment for this unexplained invoice, again solely in Italian and without any meaningful communication.
This pattern strongly suggests a systematic attempt to pressure customers into paying unjustified charges long after a claim has already been settled.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Drivalia. What should have been a straightforward rental turned into weeks of stress, unanswered emails, and continued harassment. Be warned: even if you pay and resolve a claim, they may not leave you alone. This company has the ability to turn an otherwise great vacation into a prolonged and unnecessary nightmare.

The customer service at the desk and by phone are helpfulness …
The customer service at the desk in Gallarate was so rude, racist and helpfulness. Also by phone, at Roma, they didn't help me.I couldn't collect the car at the end because they have a tricky information aboutcreditcard, the bureaucracy is so obsolete and old to be part of EU. It was my first time in Italy, never ever rent a car with Drivalia.

Stay away from this rental company
Stay away from this rental company. The information they provide over the phone is fake. I called to ask if I could bring a few hours later and I was told “you can keep it for an extra 12 hours for 50 euro”… it was over €110 - I tried emailing, then called and was told that all the extra fees were added. So dishonest. Never using this again!!! I’m now dealing with my credit card company.

Unacceptable Condition of Provided Luxury Vehiclesve received…
This is the second time I have received a luxury vehicle in extremely poor mechanical condition.
On this occasion, the vehicle was making abnormal and unacceptable noises, creating a constant feeling that it could break down or fall apart at any moment, especially while driving on urban roads. This is completely inconsistent with the standards expected from a luxury-class vehicle.
On the previous occasion, I was provided with an Alfa Romeo Stelvio that was visibly damaged on all four sides and appeared to be a collision-damaged vehicle.
Receiving vehicles in such conditions is unacceptable and highly disappointing, particularly given the premium service that was promised and paid for. I expect an immediate explanation and appropriate corrective action to ensure this situation does not recur.
I look forward to your prompt response.

Don’t book with Drivalia!
Don’t book with Drivalia! Definitely wouldn’t recommend this company. Had pre-booked a car online - they ended up charging the card twice and still haven't refunded, and not getting any response from support. Upon actually picking up the car they said I didn’t have the right documents, even though I did. I, myself, had to show them their own terms and conditions. During that process they made me cancel and then rebook - making that the third charge to my card. I overheard another customer having similar issues. They then told me the car that I specifically booked wasn’t available, then ended up giving me a car that had quite a bit of damage - the battery being in the “severe” category - the car clanks and sounds very sick, stained seats and dirty inside, smells strongly of cigarettes, and not even a full tank of petrol! One of the worst renal car experiences I’ve ever had.
