My intructor Simon was the best, from going from never drove a car to passing in about 6ish months on my first time is fantastic, the support he gave me was 10/10 the app they use great to helps keep track of lessons and a report of what youve done and what to aim for

I’ve been with Driving Skills North east from the first time I sat in a drivers seat to being handed my practical test certificate today. Throughout that time Gareth has been enormously helpful, patient, and insightful. He has both taught me how to become a good driver and how to pass my test. The school itself has been fantastic at moving up test dates when appropriate and making getting an earlier test far simpler and I now feel ready to go out on the road by myself. I recently completed a 20 hour intensive automatic course and passed my practical driving test in Durham. My instructor Marco was amazing and helped me overcome hesitation & confusion at round-a-bouts and duel carriage ways. The whole process of booking the course (as I had pre-booked my practical test) was easy and streamlined thanks to Sarah at the office! Thank you very much!

Gareth is an absolute legend!! He’s so constructive with his observations and so encouraging. I felt completely at ease being in the car with him and he boosted my confidence with driving ten fold. Big up Gareth!!!!!

Gareth is a fantastic instructor. Patient and understanding, he helped me pass my test and gave me tons of insights and awareness which have really stuck with me and continue to influence and improve my driving abilities. Sometimes seemed like too high of a hurdle but his teaching gave me the confidence to break through every time. He always managed to explains things in a way I could understand and apply effectively.

My driving instructor Gareth was very friendly, helped me get through my test as quickly and especially as cheep as possible. He helped me get over my fear of driving and always told me I was capable of passing and never doubted me even when I doubted myself.

What can I say about this company? “Wow” truly sums up my experience.

I cant thank Simon enough for helping me over the last 6 months helping me pass first time, simon had the patient of a saint and made everything such a calm environment, I work shifts and working different days and different times each work was never a problem..if you are wanting to learn to drive and you think its to late its not driver skills north east will help you pass

My instructor, Marco, was unbelievably patient. Whenever I made a mistake he would give me a chance to correct it then if I couldn’t, he would step in then tell me exactly what I did wrong and how to avoid it in future. He never got mad no matter how many times I made a mistake. With his help I passed 1st time with 1 minor fault.

I learnt with Marco, he was brilliant, informative and patient.
Each piece of information he gave me was easy to understand and he always showed me examples to make things easier.
It took me 9 months, every Saturday morning… but I passed my theory first time and my test first time with 1 minor.
Couldn’t recommend Marco enough. He’s a wonderful person and a brilliant instructor.
