Not appropriate for someone selling professional editing and humanization services.
My experience with Jarek’s editing and “humanization” service was different from what I expected based on the website description. His edited essays contained multiple issues, including grammatical errors, unnatural phrasing, and structures that made the writing sound less human rather than more natural. Several mistakes were not corrected, and some new errors were introduced during the editing process.
The service also promised consistency between Copyleaks and Turnitin. Jarek’s website and YouTube materials prominently reference Turnitin, and the FAQ states:
--------------
“Do you use Turnitin?
I use Copyleaks – currently the most advanced AI detector available and closely aligned with Turnitin (many universities are now switching to it). Copyleaks is an incredibly in-depth AI detector and its results are consistent with Turnitin (which is used by most universities but not available for commercial use).”
--------------
This is not accurate. I encourage you to watch Tadhg Blommerde’s YouTube video “Want to know your Turnitin AI score? Use this tool.” The comparison table at 17:15 shows which AI detector most closely predicts Turnitin’s AI score.
In that independent comparison, Copyleaks was one of the least accurate predictors of Turnitin. This directly contradicts the claim on Jarek’s website that Copyleaks is “closely aligned with Turnitin” and that its results are “consistent with Turnitin.”
Because of this, it is misleading to rely on Copyleaks as proof that a document will score 0% on Turnitin.
My own observation confirmed this: files that supposedly showed 0% AI on Copyleaks were flagged at 45–100% on Turnitin.
When I pointed out the large discrepancy between Copyleaks and Turnitin results, the response I received from Jarek was:
--------------
“I clearly state on my services page that I use Copyleaks and that all my work is guaranteed a 0% AI score on Copyleaks — which it did.”
--------------
This contradiction between the FAQ statements and the outcome was a significant concern, especially since my essays must pass Turnitin checks in academic settings.
Initially, Jarek repeatedly denied my requests for a refund.
The turning point came when I submitted the refusal email to ChatGPT and asked it to evaluate the English proficiency of the writing. ChatGPT provided the following assessment:
--------------
“His English is non-native and at an intermediate level, with grammatical mistakes and unnatural phrasing. This level is not appropriate for someone selling professional editing and humanization services.”
--------------
For comparison, I asked ChatGPT to evaluate the English in my own complaint email I sent to Jarek, and ChatGPT responded:
--------------
“Your English in this message is clear, professional, and completely understandable—much more natural and idiomatic than the edits you received.”
--------------
After presenting this objective analysis along with the Turnitin reports showing high AI scores, I finally received a full refund.
