All the garage items were covered with dust sheets, the engineer was great he explained in full the process. He did a thorough job covering all the beams making sure all the wood was covered. Very polite and cleaned up afterwards.

Dryfix provided a professional and detailed report including external drone footage and an internal survey with extensive photographs. Diagrams of proposed works, material and scaffolding plans enabled a successful planning application for work on a listed building. Russell was professional and courteous to deal with. I found him very helpful.

The Dryfix team were fantastic. From the original contact with Russel through to the team with Frazer . Communication was particularly excellent from Frazer for the whole job. It was a very tricky job and they couldn’t give me any guarantees that the repointing of my difficult chimney stacks and re sealing of the lead work would solve a leak that I had had for 11 years. I’d used various companies and they couldn’t solve the problem. Dryfix sorted it through sheer persistence and I’m so grateful to them all.
They are a very professional, efficient and friendly team. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. I’ll certainly use them again without hesitation.

The entire experience with Dryfix has been outstanding from start to finish.

I had issues with excessive condensation and mould in a new build flat. Nothing seemed to fix the issue, so I commissioned Dryfix to carry out a full survey. They turned up on time and were very professional and polite throughout. They were extremely thorough in their investigations, using very hi-tech and speciliased equipment to accurately assess the situation and provided a comprehensive report containing all the data.

Thanks to Russel’s investigation, he discovered that the fault lay with the ventilation and how it had been both installed and subsequently tested. At no extra cost, Russel, liaised with the developer and the ventilation testing company, in order to help resolve the issue. The service I have received has been outstanding and beyond my expectations.

Had a problem with damp in the kitchen and from the start,Jack made sure everything was protected and limited dust and dirt from being in the house.The job was finished on time and to a very high standard.Can’t recommend them enough and will use them again with no hesitation.

Many thanks to Russ and his team, he has made 2 visits over 2 years to a severely water damaged apartment with ongoing issues which is subject to ongoing legal proceedings. The most recent was a fast turnaround at short notice because of court deadlines.

The knowledge & professionalism was exceptional and the detailed report covered all aspects of an incredibly detailed survey. This has been essential when fighting a Management company for negligence and extensive water damage when they attempted to employ cheap contractors to patch up and conceal severe water damage.

The other contractors (which the building management company tried to insist on using) wanted to ”patch up” and conceal serious problems with new flooring on top of water damaged structure and use ‘stain block’ on walls and ceilings, but Dryfix identified water damage, mould and damp in the structure of the building which needed addressing before remedial works can continue. This is clearly a field that requires specialist knowledge and I have not found this knowledge in contractors a building management company tried to insist on using (hence court proceedings) so I brought in Dryfix who have impressed me at all stages. I decided on Dryfix to survey our house for woodworm after reading good reviews. Russel arrived on time was professional and polite, did the the job thoroughly and provided reassurance. Also a full report was provided afterwards. I would highly recommend Dryfix to anyone looking for a damp/woodworm survey.

When the damp proof course in my small terraced house failed for the second time both the original guarantee and the insurance I had taken out to cover it had expired. It was clear on Russell Rafton’s initial visit that this is a company more interested in identifying the structural causes of a problem rather than in simply treating the symptoms. Russell’s knowledge of the way buildings respond, not just to the weather and environmental conditions, but to the various alterations and “improvements” we make to them was impressive.

The tradesmen who carried out the work were super efficient and did a good deal more than I could reasonably have expected of them, moving heavy items with the same care that they would have shown in their own homes. At no time did it feel as if they were treating my home as a building site (which of course it was). Stephen even took his boots off to carry my sewing machine upstairs for me. As a rather old lady with no family in York I very much appreciated this extra help.

This is our second experience with Dryfix & on both occasions we have been highly delighted with the standard of their work the friendliness & professionalism of their staff; not to mention how cleanly they worked & took every precaution to disrupt our household.

Definitely the best builders we have ever had do work for us. Not only do they turn up when they say they will, they also do an extremely professional job. They even tidy up after themselves!

Unlike other builders who seem to spend most of the day on their mobile phones, Dryfix employees just get on with the work.
