Extremely Disappointing Results and Likely Need for Revision Surgery

My experience with Dr. Yunus Dogan has been extremely disappointing, and I cannot recommend him based on my results.

I underwent explant surgery, IMF lift, fat transfer, liposuction, and BBL. While there are a few positive aspects, the overall outcome has left me facing significant cosmetic concerns, uncertainty about additional corrective procedures, and ongoing stress.

The most disappointing result is my breasts. They are noticeably uneven in size, shape, and position. One of the main goals of surgery was to improve symmetry and reposition the nipples, but this was not accomplished, which only makes the asymmetry more obvious. In addition, the IMF lift on one side appears to have largely failed. I understand that complex revision procedures can be challenging, but the final result is far below what I expected. Before I left, Dr. Dogan acknowledged that revisions would likely be needed and indicated he would correct the issues. Unfortunately, the appearance has actually worsened as healing has progressed.

I have also developed multiple lumps in my breasts that now require medical evaluation. They are likely related to fat transfer and may ultimately prove benign, but having to undergo further investigations after cosmetic surgery is both stressful and concerning.

The liposuction results on my thighs and arms are also disappointing. Both areas are uneven and lumpy, and I am left with loose skin that was not anticipated. My arms are by far the worst area. They appear misshapen, irregular, and unnatural. I was advised that J-Plasma would help with skin tightening, but so far the results have been poor. I also believe the compression garments provided for my arms fit extremely poorly, and they left scars underneath my arms, adding another issue to an already disappointing outcome.

Recovery was far more difficult than I expected. Although I experienced no major medical complications and followed all postoperative instructions carefully, the recovery process was extremely difficult and prolonged.

To be fair, not every result was negative. The Lipo 360 outcome is reasonably good, although I still have fibrosis that I am actively treating. The BBL result is probably the strongest aspect of the surgery, with a good shape and size. Overall, my body proportions are improved.

However, these positives do not outweigh the significant problems I am now dealing with. I sought surgery to improve my appearance and confidence, yet I am left with breast asymmetry, failed lifting on one side, lumps requiring evaluation, uneven liposuction results, loose skin, scarring, and the likelihood of needing further corrective procedures.

This has been an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience, and I wish I had chosen a different surgeon.

Serious Concerns About Patient Care and Transparency

I underwent surgery with Dr. Yunus Dogan in May 2026. Before travelling, I specifically paid extra to stay at the Marriott Hotel as part of my recovery. However, immediately after surgery, I was placed in a completely different hotel called La Quinta.

To describe La Quinta as a downgrade would be an understatement. The room was tiny and lacked basic facilities that are essential for post-operative recovery. There was no kitchen, no washing machine, and not even a proper walk-in shower. After undergoing major surgery, I found myself recovering in what felt like a budget box room that was entirely unsuitable for the needs of a surgical patient.

When I raised this issue in the WhatsApp support group, several patients came forward to support me. Others were equally shocked when it emerged that La Quinta reportedly costs around £75 per night. I had paid for the Marriott, yet I was placed in accommodation of a vastly lower standard.

My coordinator repeatedly claimed that the Marriott was fully booked. What I later discovered was that room prices had increased significantly due to a national holiday, reportedly reaching around £500 per night. If that was the case, why was I the one forced to absorb the consequences? I paid for Marriott accommodation and expected what I had paid for. Instead, I was quietly moved elsewhere without transparency or proper communication.

What made the situation even worse was the response from the support team. Rather than addressing the issue openly, I was pressured to discuss it privately. This immediately raised concerns about professionalism and transparency. It created the impression that protecting the clinic’s image was more important than addressing a legitimate patient complaint.

Had I not raised the issue publicly within the group, I am convinced nothing would have changed. Only after considerable pressure and extensive discussion did Kim, a staff manager from Dr. Yunus Dogan’s team, finally arrange for me to be moved to a more appropriate hotel with facilities comparable to those originally advertised.

I would also encourage prospective patients to seek information from multiple independent sources before making a decision. There is another WhatsApp group, managed by a former patient named Donna, where patients openly discuss their experiences, including revision surgeries and complications following procedures with Dr. Yunus Dogan. Unlike some other groups, discussions there appear to be less restricted, allowing prospective patients to view both positive and negative outcomes and form their own conclusions.

I was informed by other patients that discussions regarding revision surgeries and certain negative experiences are discouraged or moderated in Ess’s WhatsApp group. If true, this raises concerns about whether prospective patients are being given a complete and balanced picture of patient outcomes. In my view, patients deserve access to honest, uncensored feedback—including successful results, complications, and revision cases—before committing to surgery.

This review is entirely fabricated. The individual responsible created a false name in an apparent attempt to lend credibility to a series of false and defamatory allegations regarding our hotels and patient-led WhatsApp groups. Not a single claim made in this review is supported by fact.

We will not allow anonymous individuals to spread misinformation and attack the reputation of our team, our processes, or our business with baseless accusations. While we welcome genuine feedback—even when it is critical—provided it is truthful and made in good faith, we will vigorously challenge false statements and deliberate attempts to mislead the public.

This review is clearly part of a malicious smear campaign and should be viewed as such. It contains demonstrably false information, misappropriates another person's identity, and appears designed solely to damage our reputation.

Our record speaks for itself. The quality of our results, the satisfaction of our patients, and our exceptionally low revision rate stand in direct contrast to the fiction presented here. We remain fully committed to delivering world-class care and will continue to defend our reputation against false and defamatory attacks.

Yunus is amazing but consultants are not trained and are inactive

I had my mummy make over (360 lipo, extended tummy tuc, mini bbl, arm lift). Communication from the beginning with a consultant called Jason was quick and effective until he handed my case to a lady called Mia. This was the beginning of my nightmare. When I arrived, the pickup was smooth, driver ikmet was amazing and he played a recorded welcome message in the vehicle and supported me throughout my arrival and blood test process and took me to the hotel Wanda. That was another nightmare. A review for another day. Just tell them you do not want this hotel as they will add to your stress. I went back to the hospital the next day, I met Dr Yunus who did his usual drawing. He was very experienced and definitely knows his stuffs. I felt listened to and he made his recommendations. Surgery went well. BHT hospital staffs were all amazing. They make you smile even when you are in excruciating pain. This makes you to forget language barriers. Then begin the nightmare with my consultant who overcharged me extra £50 until I realised and asked for the money back. I did not have proper notification before discharge from hospital to hotel. I was rushed and in pain, have to start parking my stuffs from the hospital. At this time, I have not seen my consultant. However a lovely person (Jamie) came to see me on the ward with some protein pancake and protein drink for recovery. She was amazing and stepped in for my consultant. I only saw her once and did not have consistency with consultant until I left Istanbul. The Wanda hotel is another nightmare. Only one lift sometimes serving 34 floors, hotel was dirty and the staffs are not very nice people. I asked for pots and plates when I arrived and they never brought it though out the 7 days I spent in the hotel. I got tired of asking and I had to use takeaway foil to cook. The after care when you are discharged from hospital to hotel is zero. There is no 24hours nurse care as stated. Your consultant will suddenly ghost you once you have paid. If you are going to have procedures with this company, just request for Jason, Aldon or don’t bother because all the other consultants are there for your money and once you pay your deposit that’s when they start to ghost you. Dr Yunus medical team are amazing and I remember Annena who removed my drain. She was such a wonderful and caring nurse. Ozman and sublah were also amazing, , Murat , Gamzeh, damyah are those that may make me come back to yunus. However if I should come back for further procedure, my consultant must be either Jason or Aldone and if not, I’ll go with other company. Everyone else, Ezra, Yasmin, Kim are all about your money. It’s very sad they couldn’t care less. Despite my ordeal, up until this moment, they still did not deem it fit to apologise. Even with my hotel, they knew I was staying longer due to issue with my blood and having to stay longer, they did not contact hotel to extend my stay. The hotel were calling me asking what time u will check out. I also have to book and pay for my extra nights. Maybe if I have been with Jason or Aldon, my experience would have been different. Aldon was the guy that net me when I went back to hospital and he stayed with me throughout my blood test and until he finished his day. This is what consultant should be like to give you reassurance. Since my return back to UK, my communication had been with Jason who is super responsive and supportive with my after care. I think I get better after care response and he will respond to messages within 5 minutes. Thank you so much to those that have made my experience remarkable and those that have added to my pain should go and train on ethic of care. Dr Yunus is amazing and I am happy with my result. He comes to the ward to check on his patients every day and he is also a good listener. I will definitely use him again for future procedure but maybe through another company.
There is also a support group run by a lady called Ess. I mentioned to the team that they should probably employ her because she is providing supports to those who have issues. However, her advice is from experience and she is not medically trained but most people have found her advice and support helpful including myself.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review and suggest areas we can improve on. While you do raise some valid concerns, we feel it is important to clarify a few items to ensure a fair and accurate portrayal of your time in Istanbul.

As was communicated to you in a timely manner, your personal consultant had a death in her family and missed a week of work to handle her tragic loss. We all had to work together to support her during this difficult time and we are sorry for any inconvenience that her loss caused you.

We would also like to clarify that we provide 24/7 support access to all patients, not a nurse that’s physically present in the hotel. Should any urgent need arise, your coordinator would immediately arrange transportation to the hospital or organize for a nurse to attend to you. We are sorry if there was any misunderstanding regarding this service.

With respect to your hotel extension, our team had already arranged additional accommodation for you. Your independent booking and payment made directly was outside of our control.

We are sorry to hear that aspects of your journey felt challenging and frustrating, real or perceived. Best of luck in your continued recovery.
