Love DSL Extreme
I've been with DSL Extreme for about a decade and have always gotten low pricing plans and great service. I just upgraded to TrueStream and my Internet speed is lightning fast and I'm paying $10 less per month than I had before. The install was easy and service is fantastic.
So far
So far, so good! We've had DSL Extreme since mid November (about one month). No disconnections, we;re able to do all of the computing we need, including watching video clips from news web sites. We are very pleased.

Today's Modern DSL Service is a Perfect Fit
I was a DSL Cutomer in the past, using older equipment. With new devices and current technology I needed a solution and have become a new modern DSL Extreme customer. My AT&T wiring and modem installation was flawless and my service has been functioning without any glitches. I will become more familiar with my service and equipment with continued use. So I am a satisfied customer. Thanks!
Super reliable service

Good internet service option
Once the service is installed and running, no problems. I'd prefer more payment options though. You have to pay upfront when you order service and it was about 2 weeks before it was physically installed, but there were no "hidden" or "extra" fees involved. The free installation was a big motivator to consider DSL Extreme. I agreed to 12 months of service--after that time the promotion ends and the monthly service fee will increase by about 30% so I will have to shop around when the time comes up.
Seven months of overbilling
In November, 2017, the military moved me out on permanent orders from the apartment where I was using DSLextreme. I sent back the equipment with a company provided RMA, sent a copy of my orders, and was told not to worry, that they would cancel the account. This month, (June, 2018), while checking the statement, I discovered they never stopped the billing.
Five days ago I opened a ticket with billing and customer service, and have yet to receive a reply.
Not receiving a reply, I called June 21 and the customer service person explained that somehow another service was left open on the original cancellation. They stated that the erroneously billed money will be refunded within the week.

Read all of the reviews online and you will see a pattern of inconsistency and misdeeds with product models and pricing. I certainly found out the hard way and this company is not to be trusted for internet speed and contractual obligations.
The representative Erwin T placed a “brushback” on Yelp review which was personal to ones financial nature and out of line. This had nothing to do with the initial complaint.......I had to reply to show why Erwin and his company culture is not the standard model of customer service.
Clearly not a professional organization, so do not believe the hype!
p.s. I have now secured internet service and the difference is clearly distinguishable between product, cost and company.........I have overpaid for way too long and I was the “dumb one” because I did NOT do better homework! - DO NOT BELIEVE THE HYPE!!
it sounded like a great plan/deal last…
it sounded like a great plan/deal last year. However, in the true AT&T tradition, with no notice, the bill increased by $23 after contract ended. For the past 8 months, i have had to endure one device wifi, 20-45 minutes of buffering and at times NEVER connecting. At times, i thought it was dial up! not worth it unless you live in CALIFORNIA apparently! And customer service was okay at best. Cancelling the service as i type this review!

If zero stars was an option....
If I could give it a zero I would. We were sold an “upgrade package.” It took 4 days of taking off work to get the installation completed, 7 different phone calls, the absolute worst customer service I have ever dealt with (from both call center employees and supervisor). We are now left with service that goes out multiple times daily and only one of our 5 devices can be on Wifi at a time. We are prepping to move and will not be using this company or any affiliate. The experience has been unnecessarily challenging and the people in the call center are so incredibly rude. Looking forward to being with a company that delivers on promises and can actually help.
Good service for the cost
I've always been satisfied with DSL Extremes cost compared to the cost for the same speed at other companies. The one thing they do not do they could improve on is have an automatic renewal system for their 12 month packages so you don't get an increase surprise when you get rolled over to month to month cost.
Limited availibity, unlimited billing
I LOVED DSL Extreme but the customer service is sub-par to say the least. I noticed my bill was significantly higher only to find out my contract ended and rather than informing me, my rate changed. Of course I renewed because the service was good and was promised a refund for the overage that I never received. After several months I contacted DSL Extreme to transfer my service to a different unit in the complex, I was told service was not available. I canceled my service, but DSL Extreme still billed me for the remainder of my contract. I would have kept the service if it was available.
