Bought a tin of Dulux Quick Dry Gloss,High Sheen Pure Brilliant White paint at B&Q .... brilliant it wasn't. Absolutely dreadful stuff, it doesn't go on well as its very runny and as for the "High Sheen", well I'd put it one step away from Vinyl Matt. Not what I expected at all. Reason being it is not oil based, but it doesn't say it clearly on the tin, you need to read the very small print on the back of the tin, which you're not going to read until you get home. My advice - if you want gloss....get a trade paint (which I did the very next day)
UPDATE 15/07/2025 : I would like to thank and applaud Dulux for responding to my review (many companies wouldn't bother) and while I believe it should be clearly marked on the tin that it is not an oil based gloss, thank you Dulux for resolving my complaint.

Brought some sapphire saulte blue paint tester few months ago. Looks great so today I brought 5 liters of the same colour turns out not to be sapphire saulte blue paint took it back to B&Q they stated that the tester isn’t same paint and different colour as tester are just dye. I never heard to much bs in my life. The paint doesn’t match the colour we wanted and looks auful even the quality consistency is so thin it drips everywhere I never had paint this awful before makes me thing never to go and get dulux brand again

Last year I bought a tin of eggshell trade paint. Within 8 weeks it was showing slippage. This year I decided to paint it with a white matt emulsion to cover it over, then use the yellow eggshell again it's had 2 coats and still not covered well, I will have to put another coat on. I used a light reflecting eggshell 10+ years ago it was brilliant, so I can only assume they are using inferior products when mixing paint up. PS they no longer make the light reflecting one so got same paint without the light reflection, won't be using it again.

Ten months ago I painted my rear wooden windows with expensive Dulux Weathershield undercoat and top coat, paints specially formulated for exterior application and offering up to 8 years durability. The undercoat is holding up but the top coat is peeling off, it hasn’t stuck. A paint offering 8 years durability has barely lasted 8 months. These are very expensive products which do not do what it says on the tin. AVOID.
EDIT: It's like treacle, hard to apply uniformly. many coats needed to get a solid colour.

I am using a matt emulsion. Very expensive paint and very bad coverage. A light colour over another light colour and I’m 3 coats in. I need at least another coat. I used B and Q own matt emulsion for a feature wall and barely need a second coat. Will not be using dulux again.

Dulux Technical were very helpful producing a bespoke schedule for the project in a couple of days.

I know delivery is free, but it has taken Dulux a week to dispatch five sample pots. Not deliver - to dispatch. Delivery will then be 3-5 working days.
Unfortunately my local DIY stores don't stock all these colour samples. Heads up for anyone managing timelines.

I've purchased Dulux wall and ceilings Vanilla Sundae Silk. The quality is like yellow water. It's taken 5 coats and the previous colour (mid green) is still showing through giving it a weird sickly hue. It's still requiring at least one more coat to form a proper yellow colour.

I purchased the 3 in 1 Base Coat product from B&Q simply to cover up a strong colour already on the walls, which on the side of the tin, it claims to do. 3 coats later, the strong colour is still bleeding through... Are Dulux not making paints like they used to anymore? I would have been better off doing 2 coats of cheaper white emulsion to achieve the same effect.
To top it off, the paint was too think to roller properly and needed to add water to make it runny enough to roller with. And then it dried within minutes, so if you went over the same area after a couple of minutes with the roller, it would get all clumpy and messy.
Just a terrible paint to work with, and based on this, my top coat definitely won't be a Dulux paint, that's for sure!

Recently I bought a tin of 2.5ltr dulux none drip gloss the first day it went on good with a nice finish, however after the third day of using it I noticed the paint had gone lumpy leaving small specs in the paint giving a disappointing finish. I tried a new brush and stirring the paint which made no difference. The paint was stored and sealed each time it was used as per the tin says. Disappointed after spending time preparing the surfaces which now have a grainy feel to them.

Using Dulux Trade Supermatt as my default white paint for years (walls and ceilings). Just bought another 10litre tub - still seems good - covered ceiling well, not expecting any problems.

Always used Dulux trade paints, but recently purchased 5ltrs of Matt emulsion mixed at wickes. What a tin of rubbish. Your paint brush / roller lifts new paint off the wall when go over fresh paint.
Never again

Dulux Moon Shimmer 2.5 ltr Matt. I love the colour and brightens up my staircase walls but what has happened to Dulux? Used to only need one coat and I have nearly used whole tin. (I'm not talking about a big area. Tiny walls on a half moon staircase). Walls were prepared and white to begin with and I used a roller. Next day it was patchy so did another coat and it lifted in patches the previous day's
paint. Been doing the same ever since even with a brush.
Only positive is I love the colour and shimmer it gives out. Disappointed that I have to purchase another tin.
UPDATE Dulux instantly contacted me and swiftly dealt with my issue. Can't fault the customer service. 5***** thank you
