Purchased 3 lights. 2 were great. 1 was not in good condition at all. However the customer service team resolved this quickly and offered a refund and a collection from my property for the light that was not in good condition.

The light fitting is fine and as expected.
There were no written instructions on how to fit the light which wasn’t very helpful.
Disappointed that 2 bulbs aren’t included in the package either.
I have also struggled to buy the E27 bulbs 20w which are required. I have bought E27 25w but ‘white’. When switched on the bulbs are very visible and don’t produce an even glow of light. I have since contacted Dusk to purchase the required bulbs and have managed to order 2 clear bulbs from them in the hope they provide a better ‘all round’ glow.
It would have been very helpful if a photo of how the fitting looks from below when switched on.
I would also recommend that when purchasing the light you are given the option to purchase the correct bulbs required at the same time, avoiding the additional delivery cost.

We are surprised to hear that there were no fitting instructions included. However, the Arlington Flush Ceiling Light is a very straightforward fitting. As with all mains-powered lighting, we would always recommend installation by a qualified electrician, who will be familiar with this type of installation. Installation instructions are also available to download directly from the product page under the “Downloads” section.
With regards to the bulbs, these are very rarely included with decorative light fittings, as bulb choice is often very subjective. Some customers prefer brighter light output, dimmable bulbs, smart bulbs or a different Kelvin (colour temperature). Our website does state that the fitting “Requires 2 x E27 20W Max LED Lamps”.
Compatible bulbs are listed on the product page under the “Accessories” section and are also presented again when the product is added to the basket, allowing customers to add suitable lamps at the same time if required.
It is also worth noting that when it comes to modern LED bulbs, the maximum wattage rating is far less significant than it was with older incandescent bulbs. Historically, wattage related largely to the amount of heat produced by a bulb. Modern LEDs use significantly less power whilst still providing a high light output with very little heat.
For example, a 6W LED bulb can produce a similar brightness to a traditional 60W incandescent bulb. Because of this, most customers should focus more on the lumens (brightness output) and Kelvin rating (colour temperature) rather than the wattage itself, provided the LED bulb remains within the maximum permitted rating of the fitting. A 6W LED bulb would be more than sufficient for this light fitting.
The Kelvin rating refers to the colour temperature of the light. Typically, 3000K provides a warm white light, while 4000K and above produces a cooler white appearance.
E27 is the most common bulb fitting available and we are always happy to help guide customers towards the most suitable bulb options if needed.
For additional support, each product page also includes an “Ask a Question” feature, allowing customers to contact us directly with any queries about the product prior to purchase.
In terms of the product imagery, the website does show the fitting both switched on and switched off. Out of the six images provided, the first and second images demonstrate the appearance of the fitting illuminated and non-illuminated.
