Etihad airways has a flight diversion to DOHA for a planned journey from KOCHI->ABU DHABI->AMSTERDAM. As a result, I had to spend a day(24 hours) in the airport loosing my planned appointments ahead. As a consequence, when I filed a ticket with Etihad, they said "sorry for the inconvenience and such a diversion was beyond their control."
Etihad or any organization must not use the sentences "Sorry for the inconvenience" unless the mistake is smaller or meagre. This is not the case, they lost customer satisfaction and quality expectation.
Next, they should not use the words "Diversion was beyond their control", this is stupidity, unless you could not predict an weather which is not the case. You could take decision based on the forecast and inform the passengers during the flight journey. The passengers were stranded in the flight at DOHA airport(after diversion) for 4 hours straight without food and care, next after reaching ABU DHABI, no prior planning on handling the passengers of issuing the immediate flight boarding passes but made to wait for a day. This is insane. What non sense is this from Etihad that you simply state a reason that it is "beyond your control" and you shrug off. That is not wise decision from Etihad or any airways for that sake.
Airlines must be fined seriously for every mistake in quality not being met, passengers are paying immense fees and taxes for a flight journey.
They must monetary compensate for any kind of such situations otherwise inform promptly while in the journey of the expected adverse conditions. If not well informed, they are liable to pay compensation for every possible delay.
Diversions beyond control can be immediate earthquake, or thunder lightning etc.
It is stupid and cheap of Etihad airways and any other airlines, who are using the words "beyond their control" and loosing trust of customers.
A customer relationship can only be gained in achieving quality in every aspect, even a slight mistake had led to "beyond our control of trust". Airlines must compensate customer monetarily, otherwise provide quality service at first line.

I'm outraged
I'm outraged. I can't believe Etihad has done this. We have been stranded in India as a British citizen and now have no way of going back home. They have not been helpful in helping us with our suddenly cancelled tickets which is appalling and nothing like other airways. Please don't use Etihad Airways as at any inconvenience, they will leave you in a different country when tickets have been cancelled on their end.

Good first hand experience
I boarded the airline for the first time, when British Airways left me in the lurch by cancelling their flight and not caring to inform me.
The best part about Etihad was regular communication regarding rules of the destination country I was visiting and providing ways for faster checkin. I was done within 10 mins of standing in queue. The flight was also good, air hostesses knowledgeable, food was also good. Overall, it was a great experience.

The worst company that can exist. I don't know how is it still surviving. If I write down my nightmare here, it would be just a waste of time. I just hope this company goes bankrupt or something.
I was not allowed to board the flight…
I was not allowed to board the flight due to missing PCR test report at the final moment, I thought to rebook the flight to another date it was priced at similar(6048 DKK) to my original ticket(4960 DKK). but the penalty and taxes the ETIHAD chose to present me looks like 5500 which is more than my original ticket price. And when I tried for a refund it was not possible. None of the customer care responded over all the thousand numbers they gave on their site. everything is answered by a machine and no option you, if you book through these airlines and trying for a rebook or refund you are most likely will get CHEATED!!
6 hour wait for a cancelled flight + Etihad refuses to answer their phones
It took Eithad 2 hours to tell us the flight was canceled and then we had to wait another 4 hours to get our bags back. Not only did it take 4 hours to get our bags off the plane that was sitting right there, but they also managed to break the clasp on my brand new Rimowa suitcase. I've tried to call Etihad repeatedly and their phone system tells you to go to their website to purchase a ticket and then disconnects. There is no way to get in touch with Etihad because they don't wish to speak with their customers.

Sent a text saying flight is cancelled and call THEM. Said they'll rebook onto the next available flight which had a layover of 19+ hours and weren't willing to offer any lounge stay or hotel stay.
Spoke to an agent who suggested changing destination to nearby airport to minimize the layover ( however this is usually a cheaper ticket). When asked about the price difference, weren't willing to offer the difference as refund or offer any upgrades on the flight ( weight allowances etc).
Really unprofessional from such a big airline. Staff who are not helpful...only advise a refund and rebook option.
Etihad Airways has very bad services
Etihad Airways has very bad services, I book a ticket from AUH to the LHE roundtrip last month, and yesterday I received an email saying that my return has been canceled and rebook my flight again. When I try to book it's 5000 AED for one side which is too much. This is the first and last time I book Etihad airways I will never ever book again in my entire life.
