We have had an annoying water hammer noise from our cistern that has been ongoing for a time until my wife insisted I get it fixed or else! I had a British Gas Home account and called them and a plumber was arranged to come and work his magic. A chap from Dyno (Leonard) called round on the alloted time and was polite, cheerful and seemed to enjoy doing his job and quickly fixed the problem by inserting new working parts that immediately stopped the hammer noise. If only all tradespeople were as cheerful and professional as Leonard!! Needless to say my wife is now very happy (and I am too!!). Thanks Leonard for saving my bacon!!!

Efficient job to fix a burst pipe outside my front door.
The plumber with heart as well as skill
The plumber, Lee, not only managed to find the burst pipe and isolate it, but he found a way for us to keep our water on for a couple of days.
In the build up to Christmas with family and friends this was very kind of him, and made life so much easier. He understood this.
When the electricity was isolated he returned promptly and quickly fixed the pipe.
We could not have asked for more.
Sticky Kitchen Tap
Our kitchen tap was so "sticky" my wife and children often couldn't get any water. I had to fill jugs and leave them for their use. I was disappointed at the long wait for an appointment when I phoned British Gas Homecare but on the day he arrived the Dyno man was very helpful. He advised me to buy a new tap which he or a colleague would fit on a second visit, which is exactly what happened. We've now got a perfectly working tap. Disappointed by British Gas but Dyno Plumbing Kent did a great job!

They attended to resolve a leak in our bathroom. They resolved the problem by fitting a new pipe and joints. Very professional and friendly service.well done recommended.
Bad and good.
Mixed review really.
Had a leaking mains stopcock. Got an appointment the next day (Monday) via the British Gas app " between 8 and 6"
Sat around all day - received a call at around 4pm to say they weren't coming. Next available appointment was Wednesday. Don't understand why I couldn't have been first in the queue for Tuesday. The stopcock is in an awkward to reach place but when the plumber did arrive he sorted the problem out quickly and with no mess or fuss.
So the actual "date of the experience" required by this review was 23rd-25th of January...
Poor appointment keeping and customer relations service
Dyno plumbing is one of the worst companies to work with. I am with British Gas and their subcontractor is this god forsaken organisation. They do not offer alternatives even when I explained my case is also an emergency. They claimed they had a risk to life emergency, after I complained to British Gas that they have postponed my service to the following week. I have worked in the maintenance sector and I do not understand how or why the whole team in an organisation is asked to focus on one emergency when there are other emergencies across the area? Honestly, the first day I got a text that they will be the company to attend to my plumbing/tap issue, I had my jitters because I have always heard of their bad service and most of their reviews don't speak well of them. If it is not a disappointment in keeping appointments, it is a disappointment in delivery or quality of work. Honestly, if they still remain the subcontractor for British Gas, I will have no choice but to withdraw my insurance cover from them. Dyno is not a reliable.
Do not use this company. I have found them unreliable and disappointing.
Do not use this company because they are not reliable in my view.
I am covered by a British Gas agreement for plumbing which is done by their subsidiary Dyno Plumbing. I had a problem with my kitchen tap leaking nearly a litre of water every day. They gave me an appointment for 25November 8-6pm but cancelled the appointment and could not offer me another appointment until 6 December 12-6pm. They rang at 4pm on 6 December to cancel the appointment again!
The earliest appointment they offered was 2 days before Christmas Eve on the 22 December. What mother can stay in all day on that day when they want to finish their Christmas shopping? But I had to accept that date as there was no alternative offered.
I have put in an official complaint to British Gas about their subsidiary Dyno. I am now having to find a private plumber to fix my tap as a fall back should Dyno fail to turn up again.
Dyno has failed to turn up on 2 occasions to do a small job like a leaking tap. I would not trust them to turn up to do anything more serious. Surely British Gas can offer a more reliable service than this.
Failed to carry out work
Called to carry out work, told needed to call back never heard again. Rang Thier office told plumber would not be coming back. The 7in piece of pipe splice must have been too much for him.

Toilet repair
I was very impressed with the professionalism of the plumbing engineer Carl Simpson. He was friendly and efficient. He diagnosed and rectified the problem (faulty cistern flush mechanism) very quickly, and explained what steps he had taken. Based on my experience, I have no hesitation in recommending Dyno Plumbing.

Awful
I have access to plumbing and drains cover via my British Gas account by paying a Financial Excess for each visit. A BG engineer came out on Saturday 12th Dec when my boiler was making a strange noise. He looked at the hot water tank and said I would need Dyno-Plumbing to come out for one part he could not fix. He booked an appointment for me there and then (BG are fantastic by the way!) and a Dyno-Plumbing engineer came out on Monday 14th December. Very friendly nice guy who looked at the tank and said it needed a replacement part which he didn't have. He suggested turning the tank off every night to reduce the leak and said he would be back on Thursday to fit the new part. He talked a lot about me giving him a good review and made sure I had a beautifully illustrated card with details of how to do so, so I duly gave him 10 out of 10! Huh! Thursday came and went with no contact and I wondered if he'd meant the Thursday after - Christmas Eve?? I was turning off the tank every night and checking it and it looked ok but it sits on an enclosed wooden plinth which means you can't see underneath. At about 9pm on night before Christmas Eve I was sitting peacefully watching a film when all hell broke loose as all the mains smoke alarms in the house all suddenly went off. Dashing about trying to find out what was going on I saw that water was coming through my hall ceiling (under the water tank) and had gone into the electrics, fusing them and causing the alarms to sound. I was scared so I shut off all the electricity in the house including the boiler. I called British Gas again and my son and I sat there until about midnight, freezing cold and lit by candles wondering if the ceiling was about to come down and if we would even have a Christmas this year. Another engineer came out from Dyno-Plumbing, Alex, who could not have been more helpful or kind but there was nothing he could really do without this part that was needed, apart from shut off the water tank. But at least he reassured us that we could put the electric back on. He was an absolute gem! I called Dyno-Plumbing the next day (Christmas Eve) and told them what had happened and how upset I was. Another engineer came out, said he'd picked up "one of" the necessary parts from the office on his way and replaced it there and then, fixing the problem. All well and good and I was happy with that until he started saying that if the previous engineer had left it leaking that was "on me" and I should have been told this otherwise they would have "shut my whole house down". Asked him about the damage to the ceiling where a large brown watermark was developing along with the wet and flaking plaster and he said it would be "up to the boss if he wants to put his hand in his pocket for a tin of paint"!! I said it looked like more than a tin of paint would be needed to me and he said "nah just sand it down and paint it over". Then he, again, went on and on about me giving him a good review " don't you link me with what's gone on before, I need my bonus" and left. I was left with a soggy, marked and damaged ceiling and no smoke alarms for the entire Christmas period as every time I tried to reinstall them they went off again. I was told "the Boss" would contact me on the Tuesday after Christmas but no call came and when I rang the office there was no reply. To say I am disgusted with this shoddy and unprofessional treatment is an understatement. Why was I not properly informed of how potentially serious the leak was? Why did the first engineer not get the part and come back and fix it? And the attitude of entitlement from two of the engineers was staggering. A good review needs to be earned not demanded. Well here is my honest review and the one that you have properly earned. I would not use this company again.
Great service !
We just moved house and the innevitable leak has happened right away in the kitchen. Matty from Dyno did a great job in record time ! Friendly service. A delight. Thanks :)
Superb
Superb. Our garden tap broke in the middle of the virus scare. We thought we'd have problems getting someone to come. Luckily Dyno was our first call, and they gave us an estimated cost during the phone call. We had to wait one day but their engineer (Dave!) arrived early next morning to replace the tap. The price was right in the middle of the estimated range. Thank you Dave & Dyno.
