Defective fan and customer service
As a long time customer of Dyson and their products/customer service I was very disappointed by my experience.
I bought a Dyson hot/cold fan for almost €500 and when I brought it home, it was making a loud rattly sound which is different from normal function. An engineering friend who owns the same device confirmed the sound is not normal functioning and diagnosed a more likely loose bearing inside the fan. I rang Dyson customer service and initially was promised an exchange would be organised the next working day. However when I received no notification, I rang back and was told this call was closed. I was told this humming was normal and wasn’t listened to when I explained that it wasn’t. I was not facilitated with an exchange and I am very disappointed with the service
Customer service
Booked a replacement unit to be delivered for £119, wrong part send despite 40 minutes on the phone going through diagnostics and serial numbers etc. Had to pay again another £119 for the correct part to be sent and was emailed a second class standard postage label to send back the incorrectly sent part. Only now 14/07 have I received conformation of a refund to be issued in 14 working days. I sent this return back at the start of May. Used live chat twice to chase up who offered no assistance other than they could not trace my return. Use a local repair company avoid the stress and pain of using Dyson.
Dyson Has Lost The Plot
Tower Fan (AM07) broke down on 1st July, when we were experiencing hot weather. After doing all the usual things, plug it into a different socket, hold the power button for 10 secs etc to reset it, it was clear the fan was dead. On 2nd July, after asking me to run some checks, Customer Support confirmed it sounded like a PCB fuse blown or a motor fault which they needed to repair.
Using DPD, who pride themselves as a "DePenDable Next Day Service", I was shocked to be told the earliest date for collection was 11th July, but accepted that was the way it had to be.
No courier confirmation text arrived on 11th July, so I rang Dyson to be told, "Please give them until 6pm as they can collect right up to that time!" Pointlessly, I waited in all day and contacted Dyson again in the evening to be told they would have to reschedule the collection.
I asked to escalate as a complaint and was told I would have to wait 5 days to talk to a supervisor. That is simply not acceptable by any standards!
This morning, I took the fan to Currys in Didcot, where I bought it last September, and asked if they could repair it. Within 5 minutes, they issued a refund on my credit card.
The moral of the story is "Buy from a Retailer who still gives customer service" and avoid Dyson!
Dyson quality & standards are so poor
We bought a hoover 6 weeks ago, already trouble shooting. I tried to return it to curry’s but as we had passed the 30 days told me I needed to liaise directly with Dyson, Dysons only suggestion was trouble shooting, wouldn’t accept a return or exchange. Absolutely furious at buying a brand new hoover & it’s already not working. Do not buy a Dyson animal.
Unbelievably bad repair service
My Dyson vacuum cleaner broke and I rang their service department. First they sent me a free 'new' battery which was useless. It held no charge. Then they said the problem was the machine itself which they said they would repair for £99. I paid and they fixed a date when they would collect it, about 10 days later. They never turned up and said they would come the next day. They did not. We then booked another day and they did not turn up. We live in central London and they claimed that they could not find the address. So, we have spent three days at home waiting for them and are thinking of giving up on Dyson. We cannot waste our time thus. 'Customer Service' has made no attempt to compensate us for all the time lost.

Dyson has no idea over pick up locations deliveries with a touch of no real interest in the customer
Ordered a handheld vacuum for around £365. Dyson Website gave the opportunity to select delivery to a pick up point. This suited me well so choose the delivery to The Post Office. The order was processed really fast and I was sent an email from DPD to say they would deliver on Monday. The email also contained a PIN. I was taken aback when DPD sent me a further email that day which said they would try again tomorrow and a photo of my parcel at the Post Office When I asked what was going on I was told that DPD could not hand over the parcel as the Post Office needed to give them a PIN number. This essentially meant there is no way it could be delivered to The Post Office as offered by Dyson.
Contacting Dyson I found staff polite and professional, however it appears it’s easier for them to simply refund than to say Sorry and try and sort out a complete failure in their system. Dysib have let me down there doesn’t appear to any real ability nor appetite from senior staff to resolve. The Parcel was returned to Dyson after two attempts at the Post Office.
What an appalling business model to offer a delivery option which is impossible to succeed. Most click and.collects give you a pin or code and you show identification to collect your parcel. Dyson however ask the DPD to get the trusted Post Office to give a PIN, but this is news to them.
I didn’t feel that anyone above or senior to the customer service staff was interested. Interestingly I couldn’t find anything on their website to make a complaint. Dyson are complacent and lack huge amounts of customer service.
Disgraceful customer service
ordered a fan on next day delivery, it did not come. I called them only to be told that they had cancelled the order and would be refunding me. I don't believe I would have been told if I had not called up. Dyson should not accept orders they cannot fulfil and should have emailed me to advise, not left me waiting then chasing. Disgraceful customer service.
Faulty Air Purifier
I bought air purifier and I am not happy about it. Humidity is not working they send me new part but it is still not good. there is a terrible smell comes from filter I can't even using it because of it. I tried to return it and they reject it because 30 days past but during this 30 days I tried to fix the problem no thanks to customer support. they have terrible customer support they are only reading what's given to them and following standard procedure rather helping to solve the problem. I called several times and wanted to talk with manager and no one came back to me. I want to return my item and asking for full refund. I will make all kind of official complain about this issue.

I replaced my GTech with a Dyson V15
I replaced my GTech with a Dyson V15. The worst decision. You burn your hand when using it, its heavy and the battery is rubbish. After all the years Dyson has been involved in vacuum cleaners you would think they would get it right!!!
Disappointed with Dyson’s Service – Still No Refund or Resolution
I ordered a filter for my hairdryer at the beginning of May. The person I spoke to took my payment details and said I’d receive the part by the following week. £3 was taken from my account, and two weeks later, another £3—yet still no part.
So I called customer support. They apologised and said they would escalate the matter. After looking into it, they informed me that the part was never ordered and said they would reorder it. A week later, the wrong part arrived, so I had to contact them again to request the correct one.
I then had to pay for the part again and was told I’d be issued a refund for the incorrect one. Two weeks passed—still no refund. I called to enquire, and they said it would take another 14 working days.
Today, I spoke to customer support again and was told the refund had not been issued at all. They said they would process it immediately and that it would now take 5 working days. I’ve just received an email confirming the refund—but it’s for the wrong amount.
So I called back for the 8th time, only to be told that the system isn’t working now.
It’s a joke—two months for a simple part and still no proper refund. Although everyone I’ve spoken to in customer service has been polite and helpful, not one has been competent enough to resolve the issue. I genuinely expected better organisation and service from Dyson.

During the recent hot weather have been using my Dyson air cool fan daily until sadly it just stopped. Rang customer service who immediately arranged a DPD collection as it was under warranty. In just a week the fan is back with me all repaired. Can’t think of many companies who can give this 5 star service. Well done and many thanks Dyson.
Your Dyson expert is just AI
The new customer service "Dyson expert" is awful. It feels, reads, and acts like AI and it's like dealing with an automated phone service but on chat. It has been an absolute pain purchasing a new item, then it getting lost, not being able to cancel it, the most condescending AI responses, then being told to refuse the item at the door to cancel, and then still being asked a week later, do you want to cancel? I'm not buying another Dyson item ever again. Take your terrible AI and shove it.

Paid 20/06 for next day, order didn’t ship. Asked every other day 3 times, told it was escalated to level 2 whatever that means, and that the warehouse team would confirm.
Called 01/07, was reassured it would be prioritized and would get a call back. Never.
Called 02/07, I was informed the order was cancelled. No heads up nothing.
Dyson is scamming people. When they do not want to honor a price they do not deliver. I’ve spend thousands with them and will not spend a single penny more.
I’d have to pay an extra 100gbp to place a new order.

Cuts out in hot weather
Loved my Dyson airwrap for the first 9 months, however I find it keeps telling me the filter is blocked every 3rd to 4th use. Clean it and it happens again. It is impossible to use in hot weather as the motor keeps cutting out because it is overheating. Very disappointed as it was not cheap.
Looking for an alternative as I'm not sure I would trust Dyson again.
Professional straighteners
Professional straighteners, upon purchasing these straighteners through contacting the business department like I have with my hairdryer, they are quick to take the money off you but after 2 pairs of straighteners one with fault battery I received a replacement which seem to be in used condition, since this the casing has come off resulting in not being able to use them! Really great for a professional business… Not! Have spoke to many advisors and nothing materials as it is business!

If I could give Dyson "zero" that's an honest review. My senior citizen mother sent back her Dyson vacuum for repairs and they cannot locate it after 5 weeks. They will confirm that it has been fixed but cannot tell me where it is. They actually told me that it needs to be picked up in Ontario Canada and we live in British Columbia Canada. We would need to take an airplane to pick up this vacuum. The person I spoke to lives in Honduras and has no idea the distance between provinces. How does that make sense? Any question I ask, they apologize and say that it's on the way. I asked what address is it being delivered to and they cannot tell me. I have spent hours on the phone with Dyson and my mom still does not have her vacuum back. Can anyone help?
I will be filing a complaint with BBB and the local news media if I don't get any action.
Dyson have had their day! Poor product, poor customer (no) care
I recently purchased the Humidifier fan as the spec fitted what I required in my home. This definitely isn’t a cheap fan but thought I was buying a quality, long lasting fan.. how wrong I was!! After the fan runs for an hour or two it develops an annoying noise, much like the Nextdoor neighbours car has a loose fan belt! Noisy enough to keep you awake!
THEN, the dreadful after service, if you can call it that! The fan was promised to be picked up by DPD of on Friday, after waiting and waiting, NO SHOW. THEN the second PROMISE from customer care that the fan will be picked up on Monday without fail.. guess what!! NO SHOW!!
It’s the hottest day of the year and I have now purchased a fan locally for £19.99 so I have something that works and this fan is far quieter than the Dyson!
I now have a THIRD PROMISE for a pickup on Tuesday… I shall not hold my breath or waste anymore time on this incompetent company.
Please, if you’re thinking of buying one of these fans, DONT! Do your homework and save yourself a lot of money.

If i could give 0 i would I ordered dyson airwrap yesterday and received an email from them when i noticed ths shipping address was only united kingdom and billing address is different from my shipping address
