EU 4 Grandest Lan

I had the great pleasure to participate in the "EU 4 Grandest Lan" event organized by Dziobak. The location (an actual historical castle in Silesia) fitted perfectly and provided all amenities (rooms, food, IT infrastructure) you would expect for such an event. Basically the great thing about such an event is that you do not have to take care of anything. Dziobak takes care of all the details so that you can enjoy just playing the game. You can clearly see their experience in this field by the vast range of matters they have thought about in advance. If you are into LAN-Partys of a more relaxed kind than your average Counter-Strike madhouse I would strongly recommend joining into one of their events.

Fairweather Manor (Dziobak LARP Studios)

In my eyes, simply the best in professional blockbuster LARP design. FAIRWEATHER MANOR enabled me to experience early 20th century life from a first-hand perspective.
Very recommendable, wethe you want to be a high-and-mighty noble for a weekend or feel what it's like to be a servant at the eve of WWI.

Weekend at the convention of Thorn

I had one of my most amazing experience in the convention of Thorn. I travel across the pond just for this event and I regret nothing, the scenery was breathtaking, nothing broke my immersion. Beautiful venue, breathtaking costume, engaging storyline. The team is there to make your story memorable, not tell their to you. If you ever dreamt of living a truly engaging story in the world of darkness don't hesitate one second.

Wizards and vampires and pirates, oh my!

After more than ten Dziobak Studio Larps (mostly College of Wizardry, but also Convention of Thorns), I have no reservations saying DLS is one of my favorite things in the world. A few years back, I would not have dreamed that international larp would reach these kinds of dizzy heights, but the professionalism and engagement is obvious in every project, and I look forward to many more adventures to come in these fantastic worlds!

Best experiences

I must say that the exceeded every one of my expectations. I went to the College of Wizardy at the request of my girlfriend. I always wanted to try a larp but always had reservations about going head first into it. They made me feel comfortable and gave me one of the best experiences of my life. I am going again in December. I fully recommend trying it out. They have created an extremely frierndly community to help answer your questions and are quick to respond.

College of Wizardry is the only larp …

College of Wizardry is the only larp i’ve played that makes me feel limitless. I don’t just mean playing a character that can turn apple juice into rum, or telelport around the world and back. I mean, as a player, this is the only larp where I feel like I am only limited by my own imagination. The world is so open ended and bendable based on what the player base wants to play. There’s no rule master popping up to tell you you can’t play a character from new york because New York wasn’t part of the witchcraft alliance of 1873. There’s no player whose read the rule book 6 times, judging you for wanting to play the son of a werewolf, because OBVIOUSLY werewolves are not able to reproduce. This is the only larp world I have played in, where I don’t feel bound by a set of rules or lore. Whatever the players want the world to be, that is what the world is, which is something i’ve seen so many larps try to achieve, but this is the only one i’ve seen succeed at it.
Also, because they’re succeeding at it, this opens the door to so many things. A game that can grow, a game that can change, a game you can play over and over again and it will never be the same every time. A game where every single character is vastly different and with so many layers you can explore, because no one was hovering over their shoulder telling them what they can and can’t do. No one judging them for writing a backstory that makes no sense, because everything makes sense. This is done, not just by the players, but by the organizers. While there’s no one telling you what not to do, there are plenty of writers, story tellers, and helpful staff that will tell you HOW to do what you want in a way that’s fun for everyone involved. The community at COW is one based on helping each other to build a ridiculous whimsical world that everyone can enjoy over and over again.

College of Wizardry

When we were children, we always play-pretended we were princes and dragons or pilots and captains. Later when Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings came to movies, we dreamed of being wizards and elves. Finally there was a way to actually be what we dreamt of being. With the College of Wizardry from Dziobak LARP Studios, you can play larp (live action role play) in a setting similar to Harry Potter. Be a student or professor at a wizard's school, play-pretend to cast spells and experience for four days a world full of wonders, created by you, your co-players and the organizers. A magical experience, but very real!

marvellous

I have nothing to compare my experience to, yet. So far I can say it was excellent. There was plenty of information given in advance and very active reactions to suggestions or questions. The people I met were friendly and allways ready to help. Thank you!

Excellent experience

I went on this LARP at Czocha Castle in November 2015. I had never done anything like this before and had a fantastic experience. It was a magical time and for the price I paid I got transfers from Berlin, accommodation, food and a great organised experience that I will never forget. I would definitely recommend.

Life Changing Magic!

My experience was amazing and life changing, this has been my best most welcoming LARP experience to date. The company was always friendly in its operations room and coming from the US I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

I experienced real magic at the College of Wizardy!

Conventions of Thorns by Dziobak Larp Studios

I attended the Event Conventions of Thorns.
The organization of the event was really good:
The accommodation is very nice and near the place of event.
The room was very nice and included a bathtube.
The parking at the place was very comfortable. If you do not come with the car you can use the organized bus.
There was food and drinks all the times during the event (also respected vegetarian food and allergies => you are upfront asked for those).
If you did not like what was there you could go to one of the nice restaurants also belonging to the castle and have good polish food for a moderate price.

The castle itself also gives the right feeling of being on a real vampire gathering.

You get a pre-defined full character for the event, with a bit of his/her history, described ties with other characters, also with possible things to do at the event (if you should have no clue :) ) and the motives of your character.
The rules of play are really easy to follow and are described very detailed at the beginning.
There are a lot of people helping during the event who are non-players and can assist when you have questions or need something.

It is really customer friendly and easy to understand with a lot of helpful people around.
Overall the organization is really good and the event itself was really one of my best LARP experiences ever.
During the event you where not able to notice who is doing this for ages and who for the first time.

I can really recommend to join this event.

I've seen them all (almost) :-) magical indeed!

I have been to almost all the big LARPS from Dzioback and I think everyone should go and experience them by themselves! You get magical, radically different from you everyday life events and can discover the worlds of Downton Abbey, Harry Potter, Dracula or Vampires ok general. And the best? You are a part of it yourself! It is truly outstanding!
