Special thanks

Driver on 56 or 57 bus to longhill this morning. What an amazing driver he was so cheerful and ready to help anyone including extra help for an elderly man. He went above and beyond his duty and looked like he really enjoyed his job. Thank you x

Ignorant, and rude driver

On 22.12.25 family member asked bus driver about Christmas services. Driver's reply was that he laughed and said 'well I finish at 2.00 on 23.12 and don't care'.

Family member is a 16 year old. How dare this terrible bus company have equally terrible, ignorant and rude drivers. On so many levels, this bus compahy is terrible yet they have the monopoly on the York to Hull routes so they don't care.

Their buses are old, frequently break down and are filthy

No Show Buses

2 Buses did not show on Monday, 3 Sep 2025, the 21:10 and 22:10 bus services, although it stated in the app that it was a few minutes away from the York Railway Station Bus Stop. There was no advisory from the app that these 2 buses were delayed or cancelled.

After contacting their customer service, they cannot provide a clear explanation why the Bus service 21:10 started in Merchantgate Bus Stop rather than the Railway Station Bus Stop. In addition, the 22:10 was delayed for nearly an hour due to a breakdown.

This incident causes frustration to all passengers. If they were able to give advisory or any heads up warning about their bus services, so that the passengers can make a plan ahead of time and not waste time waiting for nothing.

Terribe company

Terribe company. Bus drivers who don't even know the route they are on leading to entire villages and major stops being completely missed wich happens alot. Alot of drivers who are very much lacking customer service skills and are often very rude. Even the busses are a complete joke with them being unreliable and often dirty with vital routes being covered by outdated busses which often break down and smaller routes being given much more modern busses. Wifi is non existent with it not allowing connection due to it being unsecured. I suppose on good thing is that when busses do show up they are only about 5-10 minutes late usually.
Completely mismanaged, if you have somewhere to be, don't bother with them.

We are on holiday in skipsea for a few days and we've used east Yorkshire buses 3 times Phil the driver on 130 Bridlington depot is a brilliant guy so friendly and helpful he's a credit to the bus company he works for I wish our drivers back home was like him sadly they aren't

Coaster 12 & 13 buses.

Used the buses while on holiday in Filey. Saw bed bugs on the seats. Assume they are hitching rides between all the holiday sites up there as i know they are a problem. Had to put all my stuff in black bin bags and leave it in the car to cook when i got home. Some stuff had to go in the freezer also. The buses on that route need taking out of service & fumigating.

Too many cancelled services

I use the 104 service to work and 3 times this week the bus was cancelled resulting in me using taxis costing £35 in total. Just so infuriating as their reply to my contact was drivers leaving and bus faults, but surely there should be better contingencies. But I'm still £35 down in pocket.

Non Existant Customer Service

Fake phone numbers advertised on their websites and bus stop timetables
Email address that never replies to messages other than the one automated response
Social media accounts ran by people told to ignore complaints
A company that gets on its knees to swallow the tourists loads
A sham of a company that I am pretty sure are breaking trading standards laws

Late without fail 100% of the time

Late without fail 100% of the time, usually 30 minutes. Not ideal for buses that are are on countryside school run routes. Customer services are basically non existent via F'book, and fob offs via email. Nothing actually happens.

Poor customer service.

Bus went sailing by despite 4 people stood at the bus stop. Emailed my complaint on 5th June 2023, the day it happened, no response, emailed again 3 days later, still no response. Emailed again today just asking them why they haven't responded. I doubt I'll get a reply. There is no wonder the drivers don't care about customers, after all managers don't care either.

Totally unreliable

Really gone downhill since it was taken over by GoAhead. Frequencies slashed, reliability through the floor, frequent cancellations. Really sad to see a once proud local business reduced to this.

Total joke of a company!

Applied by phone, was invited to a selection day, no information sent by email as promised. Phoned again and was invited to the next selection day, again no information emailed. Attempted to call again but was cut off 9 times. Eventually got a message saying that they would call me back... no call! Phoned customer service but the person I needed to speak to was in a meeting. I was told that she would call me back... guess what, no call!... absolute joke of a company!

Not safe for women!

Pigs.
Leaving a teenage girl stranded and unable to get home at 9:30pm when it’s dark; especially after all of the murders of women this year!
