Great Service and Quality

From ordering to installing the garage doors was easy. Sales assistant was very helpful explaining all the relevant sizing required and was very patient. The doors were well packaged and the delivery driver phoned to arrange suitable delivery time. The doors were relatively easy to install. I would recommend to use Easyfit Garage Doors.

Fantastic quality product - fantastic company to deal with!

EasyFit were a pleasure to deal with from beginning to end. They took a great deal of trouble to ensure that I had the correct measurements for my slightly unusual mounting method before proceeding with the order. They even phoned so I could discuss it with them before committing to manufacture. The door arrived in exactly the time frame that they promised and is of superb quality and fit.

I am more than happy to endorse EasyFit as companies that get both the product and the customer service spot on are hard to find and deserve the recommendation!

Doors a good un.

From the moment I phoned ,I knew that I had made the right decision to buy my new roller doors from this company. The lady I first spoke to, knew exactly what I needed and proceded to explain the whole process. when the door arrived the driver was also nice and helpful and it was 7am. When I unpacked my purchase It was all as easy as told by phone and by the computer film supplied. The fitting only took 4 hours start to completion. The opening range is about 400 yards.I am chuffed to bits with it and would recommend this company to everyone who wants a very reasonably priced automatic roller door. Yours sincerely Ron Brown ,Ely.

Easyfit - Not quite the phrase I would use

Having looked at the web site and the installation video - why pay to have it installed. One chap on his own - It was going to be easy peasy. What could possibly go wrong !
Ordering was straight forward. Tracy was very helpful and obliging - sent samples. However, failed to explain an option which may be a requirement for some people.
Roller shutter arrived on time but was a heavy and difficult item to handle - not evident in the video but a precursor for what was to follow. Delivery guy very helpful and placed where asked - All fine so far.
Fitting - removed old up and over door and proceeded to unpack the new door which was in a number of parts - Inspected and all was fine.
Removed the side guides and drilled as per video - no problems here and fitted
Unpacked the main roller shaft which contains the motor. This was a bit heavy and is where the video is starting to get misleading - to be fair - the documentation does mention the item is heavy and 2 people required but I was on a mission (and on my own). It was all systems GO.
Struggled to fit but it was on and electrics fitted. The sales pitch does not include any information regarding fitting where you will require certain tools - not everybody may have to hand. Could do with a 'Tools Required' list at the front. The side panels require a hole cutting for the cable (20mm hole cutter) - No cable gland included. Cable connection / colours could be better explained and should be identified on the drawing. List of drill sizes etc. You need to drill and fit the manual override mechanism. Programmed the transmitters - not straightforward but eventually got working - The instructions are very detailed - too much so - they could do with a quick start guide. Operated the motor and it worked as per the instructions - Good so far but this is where the real problems start. Fitting the door curtain
3 people are ideally required. One each end taking the weight and then as they slowly unwrap the curtain, the third person can guide the curtain into the side guides. This is a heavy item and you have to lift the whole assembly up to the main shaft. I summoned my wife to help here -she still has the bruises on her arms - I told her 'You must not drop it' (or words to that effect !) She rested the weight onto the top of the steps and then taking the weight on her shoulders, I manouvered to guide the curtain into the guides at the same time as helping to unwrap the curtain. The next moment - the curtain had a mind of its own and slid (very very quickly) down the guides and bang - it was in - amazingly and not damaged - I was very relieved. I wish I had a video of the experience as it would probably provide hours of amusement.
At this point, we both decided to call it a day and retire for glass of wine !
Following day, refreshed, I then set about fixing the 'T' Springs. Or rather scratching my head - you cannot slide them on as the side panels are in the way. Again, the documentation could be so much clearer - Add 'When fitting the curtain - Stop it from travelling all the way down' - I had to call my son and lift the curtain up again to enable sliding them on. This was difficult with 2 of us. Then 'Trial and error', I eventually got the 'T' Springs in the correct position - you need to manually turn the shaft to correct position. Here you have to rivet them into position - Pop Rivet Gun required - Tools list issue again. Not enough pop rivets included but fortunately, I had some the correct size (pure luck)
Next - set tthe 'UP' limit - Not clearly identified on the motor shaft. It explains that the down limit has an arrow pointing 'Down' - However, having turned the shaft to enable fitting of the 'T' Springs - this was pointing up - 50/50 chance and I got it wrong - Just mark them - 'UP' and 'DOWN' Limit - Easy with a bit of thought (or common sense)
Setting the limits - the motor trips out after about 6/8 attempts - which is explained as there is a thermal cut-out. It resets after about 15 mins so no problems.
Roller shutter now working fine.
Documentation then identifies a 'Box Enclosure' This is the optional extra not mentioned at Sales pitch. It covers the rotating mechanism. I never bothered as it is fitted at height and not readily 'Touchable' and I am the only person daft enough to get dirty in the garage - However, from a H&SE point of view - maybe should not be optional but included in price.
Having said all above - I am really pleased with the door. Finish is really good and operates fine. Now knowing the 'pitfalls', I would not hesitate to fit another. Just get the 'Hulk' to help out.
Suggest that 'Easyfit' look at the install video and redo showing realistic fitting sequence and labour required.
Also, look at the documentation - add tools required list and identify cabling and mark up the limits more clearly with better instructions for the curtain install
Thats all Folks

Reply from Easy Fit Garage Doors

Thanks Mr Leighton for a very comprehensive review. We are happy to hear that you are really pleased with your door and sorry to hear that you struggled with some aspects of the installation.

We email the Installation instructions to all of our customers with the order confirmation prior to delivery of the door in order to give our customers the opportunity to have a look through what is involved before installing the door. As you mentioned, the instructions confirm that the door is heavy and recommends fitting is carried out by two people. The instructions also cater for the installation of optional extras which are not all necessary from an operational point of view to every door specification/installation type. (Full specification/Optional Extras details are listed on the website). The autolocks are secured by the self tapping screws supplied. Whilst no special tools are required, 4 Pot rivets are supplied which can be used to attach the manual override, but customers can use their own screws if preferred.

We appreciate that DIY abilities vary from one customer to another and welcome feedback so that we can endeavour to clarify the instructions. We are also available on the telephone if any of our customers have any installation queries or require technical support.

They really are Easy to fit

Purchased two roller garage doors. They came well packed and the instruction were easy to follow.
They look great and are easy to operate.
Would recommend at least two, or better still three people to fit the doors over the rollers into the guides.

Value for money

I normaly like to support my local suppliers. However, after receiving their tender price for a roller garage door I took the trouble of comparing it with other suppliers - sort of throwing my net out a little further. For an identical garge door Easyfit Garage doors quoted me a price that I simply could not ignore and I saved my self over £400 fitted !!

The door was delivered before it's due date and Mark' my fitter duly arrived on Saturday morning having driven down from Stoke to Goucester just for this one fitting. Leaving him alone to his own devices, he worked like a trojan and had the door up and working in little over 2 hours. His bedside manner was truly superb and it was a pleasure dealing with him and Easyfit Garage Doors. Mark was the quintisential hard working young Englishman and his workmanship cannot be faulted. I know because I checked everything before he left site. What a credit he is to Easyfit Garage doors. Easyfit - keep up the good work, don't become complacent and I hope you continue to help this countries economy get back to where it once was. Thank you.

Old garage upgraded with great, new door

Our old, double garage had a door that did not close properly, was very heavy and occasionally came 'loose' in a dramatic fashion.
I bought an Easifit door as a replacement. Its ingenious design meant it fit comfortably into the old, prefabricated structure and did not impose any significant load on the structure.
I received excellent direction when ordering and found the installation relatively straightforward, much as indicated by the internet video.
I would unreservedly recommend Easifit doors and their roller door product.

Nice bit of kit

Item arrived by dedicated carrier.

Fitter was pleasant and professional. Pity he didn't have any PVC trim to finish off the job. Up to me to complete. People passing comment on lack of trim with comments like " shame never mind"
