Do not buy from them
Do not buy from them! Scammed my 94 year old dad after he bought from Easylife catalogue. £18.50 twice a month (going to Reward Club) until we noticed. Bank have now stopped payments now. They should be ashamed, at shut down!
DON'T BUY FROM EASYLIFE
DON'T BUY FROM EASYLIFE - Easylife - give your details to Scammers! Although their catalogue may have useful items to buy - don't!!! Your details will be passed on to companies such as "Premier Offers Club" - who will "cold call" you - and then say you have "free" points. Next thing you know they are trying to take money from your bank account - saying you have agreed to joint their Premier Motor Club for £65.99 per year! They need to be stopped from doing this. DON'T BUY FROM EASYLIFE!
Elderly preying SCUM.
My 82 year old Grandmother ordered an item a few months back and paid in full at the time. She has then by chance, checked her bank statement for this month only to see a payment to EasyLife for £69. She was unsure what this payment was for, so she contacted the bank, only to find out that this amount had been charged to her account monthly ever since she purchased the item, these payments added up to over £350. We tried to contact them multiple times for a refund, only to have the phone hung up on us each time.
Thankfully, the bank have blocked the payments and have passed it onto their fraud team to investigate further.
This company should not be allowed to operate and I would never recommend purchasing products from here.
SCUMBAGS
If I could leave 0 star's I would
If I could leave 0 star's, I would.
This company should be ashamed of themselves and how they conduct their business. Over a period of 3 months they took almost £300 out of my grandads bank account for their list of ridiculous subscriptions that he had no idea he had signed up to. A pet club when he has no pets, and a book club when he has no interest in reading were just 2 of them. He received nothing for these subscriptions so that must be why they have to scam people into signing up as no one in their right mind would willingly agree.
I called up and had them all cancelled and the money refunded, to find out they have started taking money again. £18.50 every 2 weeks for a discount subscription!! Who would even pay that!
I have called and asked for him not to be contacted again, but who knows how long this one will last.
How do they sleep at night knowingly ripping off vulnerable people to make a living.
Beware and steer very clear!
Easylife scam
My 92 year old father has been charged a
subscription for a spurious rewards club linked to Easylife.
So far £185.
This was only brought to our attention after a call from his bank’s fraud team.
It appears this company preys on the elderly.
This is shameful and sickening and I hope they will be investigated.
Rips off elderly and vulnerable, no shame!!!!
If I could leave a zero star review I would. £76.99 has been taken from my mothers account and no purchase has been made for several years. The payment is a one off and has not been paid before. Mam did order from the easylife catalogue approximately 5 years ago but no further payments were made. They wont discuss the matter with us as it is her "account" and we don't have power of attorney, only appointeeship. I'll log a fraud payment ticket with the bank but I'm not hopeful that she'll get it back. I have blocked them from taking further payments. My mam suffers dementia and stroke related disabilities meaning she does not have capacity, she cannot physically order anything without help, she cannot communicate longer than a few minutes and cannot mobilise or write. I can't believe this is happening to vulnerable people and it's disgusting to see that she is not the only one. How much are the company profiting from this scam???
Easylife Rrewards Club Perx magazine con
We have only recently discovered that my wife's credit card had been debited every two weeks with the sum of £18.50 making a total so far of £111.00. When I contacted Easylife on my wifes behalf I was told "Oh that sounds like a magazine subscription" my wife has however never knowingly applied for a magazine subscription with Esasylife
The guy that I spoke to (Patrick) advised me to send details of the payment dates and that my wife's credit card account would be refunded. The email address that I was advised to contact 'Promotions@support appeared to be incorrect when I tried to send it so I emailed the address 'support easylifewhich I found on Google.
I have now received a delaying tactic reply that they cannot discuss this matter with anyone but my wife! In my reply i have said that there is nothing to discuss as my wife just wants a refund for the erroneous amounts debited from her credit card. Surprise surprise I received no response! We will no longer have any dealings with Easylife and will refer the matter to our Credit Card company.
Details Passed On without your Knowledge or Authorisation
I purchased an item from Easy Life all ok delivered as described. No problem, except I didn't know that soon after I would receive phone calls and letters claiming that I had now without my authorisation signed up to Rewards Clubs. The Gardening Rewards Club sent a letter saying welcome to the club even though I had not agreed to sign up nor did I want to. They shortly after sending the letter tried to take £ 87.50 (apparently a subscriptionn fee) from my credit card. The details they acknowledged came from EASY LIFE. Fortunately my bank spotted it and declined the payment classing it as a fraudelent attempt, which it was. At no time did I give my consent to EASY LIFE to pass on my contact and billing details. EASY LIFE should be ashamed at the way they conduct their business. When I tried to contact EASY LIFe saying I wanted to speak to them they simply transferred me to the Rewards Club. EASY LIFE took no responsibilty for this. Any advice I can give is block EASY LIFE from your email account, return any hard copy literature they may send and most of all NEVER trust or buy anything from them. Until they can clean up their act they should be regarded as a Sham of a company who are happy to consort with companies who are out to scam you.
Predatory Scammers
Totally disgusting people. Run by an apparently genuine company,Easylife, that sells disability and health aids to people who are disabled or suffering from medical issues. With a client base of often elderly and vulnerable clients they browbeat them into signing up for subscriptions, book clubs etc. My Mother who has been in hospital 5 times in the last year and struggles to communicate after a series of strokes found herself receiving and being charged for magazines she hadn't asked for. This caused massive stress that family, and her bank, eventually sorted. A few months later, yesterday, she received unsolicited books and a welcome to a book club she'd neither asked for nor wanted from the same people, and again she's highly stressed, something that tipped her into having a stroke before now.
A quick Google shows how disgusting this company is and even how much they've been fined over the years for their behaviour, presumably they're making massive profits because they feel safe to carry on regardless.
Vile people preying on the vulnerable, how they've not faced criminal charges I can't imagine.
I notice there are no replies to any of the reviews here exposing these people as little more than thieves preying on some on the most vulnerable people in our society.
Total scam
Total scam. It seems this “company” have been operating for several years and I can’t understand how it hasn’t all been closed down. By some magical means when you buy something you have apparently signed up to a mythical subscription, in my mum’s case for £18.50 a month on her credit card. We are not sure how long this has been going on for but they got greedy this month and we noticed 3 charges of £18.50 in a 3 week period on her monthly statement. I rang on their 0800 number ( for orders NOT their recommended number at “local” rate) thinking possibly maybe mum had actually bought something but after a few minutes the conversation seemed odd and made me very suspicious. There was no real explanation of what she might have bought, more all along the lines of vulnerable people often sign up to subscriptions but forget they have done it. Subscription to what and for what, well who knows? Let’s call it an imaginary product.
I rang the credit card company who immediately said they would reimburse my mother any losses occurred within the last 120 days and she would receive the money within 7 days. They were very familiar with Easylife and have stopped any future payments to them.
I’m surprised since Easylife are so well known as a scam that they can continue to advertise and that credit cards and banks don’t automatically block the payments and check with customers first.

Awaiting a new card.
Good riddance.

I contacted easylife a year ago and asked them to remove all data, I had a reply to say this had been done. Today they have started calling the elderly lady again. I have reported them to the ICO, information commissioner's office and suggest everyone else does the same so that action can be taken against this scummy company again.
This company is utterly fraudulent.
This company is utterly fraudulent.
They deliberately prey on elderly people.
They have been taking payments from my elderly parents expired debit card account for some 'offers' none of us know anything about.
I am in contact with the FSA and my parents bank about the entire SCAM.
A proper investigation is overdue.
My 87 year old mum had asked me to…
My 87 year old mum had asked me to check her bank statements and easylife have been taking two lots of £18:50 each month for the last 10 months it could be more but I only had her statements for last 8 months, there are other payments for £76.95. when I phoned they said it was for a subscription and a membership, I asked a membership to what and the advisor said they would issue a refund if I gave them the dates of each payment and for how much.
We contacted her bank and they have refunded the money and also cancelled her card
My mum is absolutely devastated she doesn’t even make payments over the phone
BE AWARE AS I HAVE HEARD THIS HAS HAPPENED TO SEVERAL ELDERLY PEOPLE WHO PURCHASED FROM A CATALOGUE
A thoroughly untrustworthy company
Like many other people I have been subjected to the malpractice of this company. After ordering a product, and returning it because it was not satisfactory (paying £5 for the process), I discovered, belatedly, that Easy Life have been debiting my bank account for their rewards scheme at £18.50 per month- something I never agreed to. They promised refunds when I called them last week but when I checked my bank account today I discovered that instead of refunds they had again DEBITED my account.
Consequently I have contacted my bank and will be notifying Trading Standards and The Financial Services Authority to report what has happened. I will also contact The Daily Mail as it should know that by circulating this company’s brochure it is supporting an organization which acts in an unauthorized manner to the financial detriment of its customers. Buyers beware.
Totally fraudulent.
After gaining Power of Attorney access to my mother's credit card account we discovered that Easylife had taken a total of £350 in five separate transactions, two only sixteen days apart. I asked what products or services these payments were for and also mentioned that her bank had been notified of potentially fraudulent payments. No response for a few days until they informed me that the customer's satisfaction was paramount. I quoted several reviews of their company that appeared on the "Which" site where they had told a "victim" that conversations were recorded which could prove someone's consent was given. I asked for the recording of my ninety one year old dementia suffering mother giving her consent for numerous and ongoing payments from her account. No recordings were provided. Instead a promise of a refund, which.......... turned out to be the case!
All five payments where refunded the next day. My guess is that they are able to take enough money from unchecked accounts so when they do refund some payments they are still in profit.
Scam
My mother had £270 taken from her account for purchases/ subscriptions she never made with Easylife. This company kept hold of her card details from one vitamin supplement purchase and then sent her a pile of books! She did not order them and was extremely distressed when she received them. Thank goodness she used her credit card and the money was immediately refunded and Easylife has been blocked. Will be reporting this to Trading Standards and the ICO. Absolute con.

Taken a further £81.99 out of my account 2 months after I made a purchase. Had to call my bank to cancel transactions and they’re investigating getting the money returned. Have not agreed to any subscriptions etc. Will not be buying from them again.

Please do not be tempted to buy anything from these people. They will keep your bank details & then unlawfully take money from your credit card in the hope that you don't notice it on your statement.... These people need to be properly investigated by Trading Standards.
