Why is this firm allowed to trade?

Recovering from knee surgery and on crutches, I ordered a shoe ottoman from these charlatans mid-July. Payment was taken a few days later, suggesting the item had been despatched. Accordingly, I made arrangements for a friend to assemble it for me a few days later. No delivery, although at least three delivery slots were promised. In the meantime, a friend supplied me with a shoe crate that did not need assembly, so I cancelled the order. A few days later an attempted delivery was made, so I asked the courier to return to the supplier.
In mid-August, after several e-mails that were never answered and numerous futile efforts to make phone contact, I finally spoke to 'Customer Services', who said that a refund should be with me by 1st September. Accordingly, I cancelled my dispute through Paypal, which can not now be reinstated.
Needless to say, no refund has been forthcoming, and Easylife now say that as the appropriate paperwork was not completed at the time, they cannot accept that the package has been returned!

Don't trust this firm!

Bought several items, took weeks to deliver, damaged packaging, impossible to contact anyone, emails go unanswered, face visors are a joke, thin bits of cut out plastic that are scratched and give totally distorted vision. Asked for refund, no reply.

My wife ordered and received some…

My wife ordered and received some Slimming Patches with a guarantee of money back if they did not work, well they didn’t. A request was made for a refund without any luck.
I’ve tried filling in a contact form only to find it won’t send when filled in.

Paid express delivery

Paid express delivery, 8 days later still not here, have managed to cancel the order As it hadn’t even been shipped yet, but the customer service chap said they are taking the extra money for express but have not been doing express delivery since COVID started!! Sounds like a fraudulent act to me. Will not use again

Worse than dreadful

Worse than dreadful. Had to give give one star to be able to add a review. Ordered a product which, when it arrived, it was shoody and looked very different from their online picture so I returned it immediately for a refund (using their approved carrier and returns process). I've heard nothing more dispite sending them e-mails. I returned the product on 6/8/20, it's now 10/9/20. Will not use this company again !

This is the lowest rating this will allow - I would rather leave 0 stars. Impossible to contact and order placed 11 June 2020, still not fulfilled correctly. Strange that they are still contacting to get me to place more orders though. Won’t be touching them with a barge pole - horrendous way to treat a custom

Not a pleasant experience

Not a pleasant experience. Order placed mid-July and arrived 3 September. In the meanwhile, it was impossible to contact them by phone or email where all that was received was an automatic statement blaming the pandemic. Updates were promised on my order but the only one received was in early August stating that my order would be delayed. Then suddenly there was an email stating it was in transit and 12 hours later it arrived. Although the company admitted serious problems sending out orders, it continued to solicit them by post and email. The goods when they arrived were fine. But care for customers seems to be a low priority and I am unlikely to give them any more custom.

I wish I could choose no stars

I wish I could choose no stars. Order placed 5th June, arrive 18th August. Emails are responded to by auto reply and the telephone queue means literally waiting for several hours. This company is using the pandemic to cover for rank incompetence. I’ll never use them again and suggest you avoid them too. Simply awful.

Don't have anything to do with them

Easylife faces the same sort of difficulties as any competitor in these unprecedentedly difficult times. Notwithstanding, other firms have delivered without delay, indeed two of them did so a day a h e a d of schedule... Easylife sank to the occasion big time: I ordered two items on the 3rd July, promised by the 16th but by the 10 of August, no show so I cancelled. As others have said, trying to phone them is nigh impossible though after five days of trying I did succeed. They've not only forfeited my above-mentioned business but also potential future custom as there were a number items in their booklet that I'd earmarked for almost certain additional purchase.

In summary, in my opinion Easylife doesn't deserve to be in business at all. I predict they'll soon fold.

(Note to Easylife - when you read my remarks don't bother about replying. I'm not remotely interested in anything you have to say.)

My shocking experience with Easylife. Ordered 4 items towards the end of May

Ordered 4 items towards the end of May. No update at all from them so tried to contact towards end of June. Tried phone call first... 59 in the queue and potentially would take just under a hour waiting. So sent an email cancelling my order in full. Then they had the nerve at end of July to send the order I had cancelled. They obviously used my card details which I had not approved as order was effectively cancelled.. What a nerve!!!!
My advice would be never ever purchase items from this company with a barge pole. I know things are difficult for some companies right now, but I cannot in any way excuse them for the way they treated me, and looking at other reviews all their customers. Don't use them....

Unwanted sales calls and discovery that they have retained my card details

I ordered a small item from the catalogue last year and it turned up ok. However, recently I have received sales calls from them, and the one I received on Friday made me quite anxious. I was driving and answered the call using blue tooth. The sales person was trying to get me to agree to pay just under £2 to get details sent to me of a travel club which would cost around £60 (I can’t remember the exact amount) to join. I said that as I was driving I could not pay the £2 at that moment and he said he could take payment using my stored card details with them. I have not authorised them to retain my card details and told him so and made it clear I was totally unimpressed as this breached GDPR laws. He told me to take it up with customer service. When I got home I checked my account and found no card details for me, and also I had NOT ticked through boxes to have any marketing directed at me by phone or email. I contacted them through their website reiterating all of the above and have asked them to close my account. I have not heard back from them so far.

An appalling Customer Contact service

An appalling Customer Contact service. In practice no contact can be made. Parcel supposed to be with Hermes, G help us, Easylife takes the payment and Hermes promises to deliver but doesn;'t.
These two companies deserve each other.

I return a product on 11th May

I return a product on 11th May, June 19th they said the didnt have it, I emailed copy of despatch note and copy of delivery note, I have not heard from them since June 20th, so my item has been with them now 94 days, and no refund despite a daily email to them, and a letter to the General Manager.

Never ever buy from this company

Never ever buy from this company. They took an order for face shields from me in May. Hermes said it had been delivered and signed for at my address on 28th May .This was a complete lie. When it was eventually delivered it had been opened and used .They were scratched and partially used .It is impossible to get through on the phone no matter what time of day you ring. I have emailed them 3 times, I have written to them with a tracked return and still no response .Do not buy from them at all.

D.TURPIN WAS MORE HONEST!!

Keep well away from this dishonest and useless supplier of anything. I have received only one item out of 7 I ordered three months ago. Although my order was over £200 with free delivery they charged me £8 for my one item. My face masks - the pandemic will be over before I get them.
If you are reading this review, get yourself at least two long barge-poles.They are thieves!!!

Avoid and Report

My elderly parents responded to an advert from Easylife in The Guardian, purchasing 2 facemasks for £19.98 by cheque. This was on 2nd June. The cheque has been cashed, but they have received no products. When they and I have called to find out where their order is, they are around 90 in a queue and they don't get and answer. I have emailed and tweeted, to no response.
Having seen all the other similar reviews, I feel that Eastylife Group are taking advantage of elderly and vulnerable people - those who trust adverts in papers and physical catalogues over on-line shopping (and those who probably would't think to check on here before ordering...).
I am appalled by this company and will be reporting to the CMA and Trading standards.

I Don’t believe Easy Life Anymore

Recently I ordered some garden edging strips and other items. The order placed was over £100.00. I was assured the edging was in stock.

As the goods had not arrived, by the date I was promised I cancelled the order. another company sent me a mail order brochure. I believe this second company was called “ healthy living “. Within their brochure the exact product was for sale. The telephfonist told me easy life owns their company. Once again I was assured the strips were in stock. The order did not arrive, so today I called could not get through. By email I have cancelled this second order.
Despite the fact I have been a customer for 10 years plus I won’t be purchasing any more goods from this company or their affiliates.
