Terrible service

Terrible service. charged for a box I didn't receive. Was credited, asked for a refund. Waited for a refund and did not get it. I ended up using part of what was paid to get some of my moneys worth. There was still a balance on account. Requested the balance back as a refund. WAITED A MONTH. Still no refund. I was going to use the rest of balance to order ANOTHER BOX bc refund requests seem futile. Ask if I can get a discount for all of the trouble, they offered 10%. Over a month for a refund twice and 10% is the best you can do? Save your money, if there is an issue with your order you may have to wait hours on the phone, or months to get your money back IF you ever get it back.

The food is truly delicious

The food is truly delicious. Besides the obvious convenience of not having to cook after a long day of work, the flavors, portion control and low calorie, high protein content of the Keto meals are contributing greatly to my weight loss.

IMPRESSIVE

I've only received one order, but am impressed with the quality of the food and the portion size. The shipment arrived on time. The meat reheats well and the taste isn't compromised by the microwave. I would order again.

Deposit/fee billing scam

In order to see prices and menus, I needed to put all of my info including debit card (if you insist on getting conned, use a credit card, not a debit card for your protection). When I realized immediately that they had enrolled me in the meal service, I called and canceled (within 20 minutes). I was promised a refund, which I have never received, despite numerous promises from their billing department that I would. On each call (12 to date), they had all of my specific information, so there was no confusion as to the circumstances. Twice I caught two different reps in lies as to what department they worked in, and who I needed to speak to (you could never actually speak to that person). Their information was very specific including date that they would send it, but as of Jan. 31st, no refund (over 10 weeks later). If you read many other reviews, this is apparently the norm, with management obviously encouraging their people to say a refund would be forthcoming, knowing it never would be issued.
If you do sign up, they will have your payment in advance of the next shipment, so if you do eventually cancel down the road, say goodbye to your payment. If keeping my $70.49 helps them stay in business, good luck. They'll be gone soon, as my problem is not unique.

Excellent Meals!!!

I tried many of the meal services (Factor, Moms Meals etc.) and Eat Clean is the best. Great portions, delicious meals. The choice of meals are excellent and there's a variety for everyone. For meals delivered by CDL Last Mile all you have to do to keep track of your orders is to enter the Order ID # from your Eat Clean order on the CDL home page.

Dont be sucked in by high ranking

The food is good, but unfortunately, this company cannot get it together. Every order is always wrong. The customer service is horrible. They have sent other people’s orders. They have sent the wrong orders and it’s just not worth it. Also, their selections are not varied enough.

My first order was delayed in shipping

Quality of the food is excellent!
My first order was delayed in shipping, so Eat Clean sent a replacement order. None of the replacement items were the same as what I originally ordered. Why?
Heating instructions need to be improved.
No where does it say what to do when the item ordered contains within the sealed meal a plastic container such as dipping sauce. On microwaving, the plastic container melts. This may be obvious to experienced cooks that the sauce should be heated separatly, but not to me.
I need to double the heating time stated in order to adequately warm the meal. Am I supposed to thaw the meal before I heat it in the microwave, or heat it straight out of the freezer?

Horrible service

When I received the correct meals they were good but service is horrible 5 weeks of orders only the first week was correct 2 weeks were completely different then my order and I eat strictly keto they were anything one week never showed customer service is a joke

This delivery service is awful!

This delivery service is awful! My first order was for 12 meals. I just had surgery, so I couldn't make any food. Unfortunately, they only sent 8 meals. I called and asked for the other meals, they only wanted to give me credit for 2 meals, because I used a coupon. I begged for the meals, and explained my situation. In addition to just having surgery, due to the CA fires, my city had no power, (I have backup power for my house) but no power everywhere else means, no grocery stores are open, and no restaurants are open. I absolutely needed these meals! They finally agreed to send them. Once I received tracking, I set up my next delivery. It was a day late, and 4 of the meals had meat (I'm a vegetarian). Another huge issue, is that they will replace ingredients, without telling you. Example, the eggplant lasagna, was actually mushroom lasagna, but I'm allergic to mushrooms. The sodium levels are high, as well! Basically, if you have allergies, a specific diet, or can't have high sodium, do not order from here. Thankfully, we have power again, so I can just have something else delivered.

For my 1st delivery, I sent a message within 20 minutes of only receiving 8 of my 12 meals. The company replied that they wanted pictures of the meals I received. I sent pictures of all the meals outside of the box, and inside the box, to show that 12 meals wouldn't have fit. I included a tape measure in the picture. By the next day, I still had not received a reply, so I called. The man I spoke with only wanted to give me a credit for 2 meals, because I used a coupon. I begged for him to send the meals, because I had no way to get groceries or delivery, due to the fires. He eventually agreed to send the 4 meals. My first delivery was on Monday, the other meals were delivered on Thursday.
For my second delivery, I received some meals that contained meat, I am a vegetarian. Because of the trouble with my first delivery, I did not contact the company again.
I ordered a meal service, to reduce stress, to help me after surgery, and eat healthy. Fighting to get what I ordered, having ingredients changed from what is listed online (especially with allergies), and receiving meals with animal products, shows an overall dysfunctional company. The high sodium content was the least of my issues, but I included it, for others to be aware of. I would never order from this company again.

Late delivery/horrible service

My delivery was 5 days late, chicken had brown scum on it and all meals had to be thrown out. So far customer service told me that they would submit my request for a refund to upper management and it will take at least a month. How can they not automatically refund a customer for inedible food? I cancelled and will never deal with them again.

Shady mixed with poor customer service

The customer service is horrible and outsourced. I had a representative. Call me back on 12/24/24 to tell me that I would receive my refund within 10 business days. Still no refund. These people are shady and unprofessional. I have received no food from these people yet they still want to keep my $68. I can see why this company is doing so poorly. STAY AWAY from Eat Clean.

This company tries

This company tries, but noy hard enough. They use ingredients like spices that are not included in the ingredients list. So if you have sensitivities or allergies this is no good. We had issues with both deliveries. The company is quick to give a store credit and resend out the food ASAP. Our 1st issue was delivery was 3 days late. 2nd issue the food came on time in a beat up box, the ice packs melted and food is ruined. The shipping issues will ruin this company. Will not recommend or use again.

Yummy!

Best tasting prepared service I have ever tried. I have had no problems with my order thus far. The portions are huge and flavorful. I'm diabetic and they haven't spiked my blood sugar.
Edit: While I stand behind my review of the food for the most part (some of the meat was very dry) customer service has been a nightmare.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service, frauds, meals are bland. Please avoid. Back in November, they charged me for an order shipment that I cancelled. I initially called them saying this was accidently charged and I wanted a refund as I was traveling for holidays. They did not refund me, but gave me credits to my account which I did not ask for or want. I was not going to be home for weeks and wasn't happy with their service regardless. I called them multiple times after that and they still to this date (it's been 2 months) have not refunded me and everytime I call someone they can't get anything accomplished and I have realized they are frauds and stole my $144 dollars. DO NOT USE THIS MEAL DELIVERY SERVICE. There are 20 others better tasting and everyone of them I bet has better customer service.

Avoid Eat Clean

Avoid Eat Clean. Shady practices. I was a client from July 2021 through April 2022. Over 2 years after cancellation, I got a random charge on my credit card from them in August 2024. I called them 3 times to resolve it over several months. Each time, they stated they would refund the charge. They never did.

Awful customer service

The entrees were actually pretty good, the breakfasts were awful, the website / app are horrendous. First I was charged for 3 orders when there is clearly only one order in my account. I notified them right away and after 4 weeks I still have not been refunded. Second I "paused" my subscription until I was refunded. The option is called "paused" not skip like over meal service providers state, but 2 weeks later we were charged for an order of entrees they selected when clearly my subscription was paused and I had subscribed for "I choose" option. That charge has also not been refunded. All in all they owe me almost 200 dollars. THIRD in the one order I did place I ordered a "Organic Trail Mix Snack" for ~$12. The picture shows multiple bars. I received a single Kind bar - when you can buy a box of those for $6 at the grocery store. DO NOT USE THEM.

I never received my order
The driver delivered to the wrong house , as noted in the proof of delivery photo.
I was supposed to receive a replacement order the next day, and never received it.

Still haven’t received my refund/credit.

Getting a refund for an order that is wrong is next to impossible. They ship wrong meals not in your food requirements all the time, or you don’t get the correct amount of meals in your shipment. This Christmas the food still hasn’t been delivered- 4 days late so far. I got a text from the company saying to throw the food out immediately- I can GUARANTEE I will not get a refund or credit to my account for this week until I call 8 times and send multiple email and ticket complaints- $124.99 for 10 meals… I’m still fighting from the week before when I was charged the same amount but only had 6 meals delivered. Absurd.

Food is actually fantastic

Food is actually fantastic - one of the few with lower sodium and calorie options. My first order never arrived so I cancelled my subscription but they sent a replacement box. I soon discovered they somehow reopened my account and sent/billed for another box I never ordered. I called again to cancel and get a refund. The box arrived today. I am torn about whether to stay for the great food, at risk of dealing with this probably repeatedly. Honestly the food is so good I question if the sodium and calorie reporting is accurate…
